123RF is 95%
Shutterstock 90%
Fotolia was 60%
Alamy was 100%
Deposit was 95%

Ron, would you please add better titles of your threads? The "10%" title doesn't tell much and it's another time when I open your thread without any idea what will I read about... Thanks a lot for understanding! :)

Their approvals/rejections seem pretty random to me too. I don't even bother to attempt to make sense of them anymore.

If they were a big earner I'd be more concerned.

You submit 1400 files to these guys (who are they? - can't see them on the list to the right).  Guessing they are below low earners and they presume to dump on you, yet you very few on DT who are relatively decent, with reasonably competent reviewers and just gotta earn far more per image. Doesn't add up  ???

photodune one of the fastest submission process. Same as 123. Dreams time submit every photo one by one. Waaay to much work.

Except for their peculiar way of attatching model releases.  They are my 7th best earner.

What good is fast approval and easy submission when 90% gets rejected?

PD's core needs have proven to be studio shot, brightly lit stuff. They do not want much in the way of travel, nature. I also have a very high reject rate there because I submit underwater work and nature mostly. I no longer care because I don't make much at PD no how with my studio stuff/nature mixed port.

Most of my photos get rejected; I have better luck with my illustrations. If I were primarily a photographer I would have stopped uploading to PD altogether by now.

There is literally no work in submitting to PD. Just drag the images in FTP and submit. Thats it. I will get to submitting to DT. I just made an observation and thats it. Dont try to understand it  :P

Photodune = Envato

So Envato Owns Photodune? Are they are two separate sites or is it the same site with two different domain names? If Envato is a 7 on low earners is Photodune also or are they like SS owning Bigstock in which case Photodune cant even rank on the earning ratings?

I would also say that I get about 90% rejected. I am past caring and ignore thier patronising forum posts suggesting how we can be better photographers to get more work accepted. I just throw enough mud and see what sticks. The sad thing is I get more sales with them than IS and DT.

However easy the upload process is I stopped submitting 2 months ago due to everything being rejected and sales have increased by 3x!

Just had pics reviewed by Photodune and zoonar - Zoonar accepted 19/20 and PD 1 out of 20. Guess which one PD accepted. Yep I do mostly travel type stuff so it probably explains it!

Not surprised with PhotoDune. Submitting there, especially as a cartoonist (Graphic River or ENvato(?), was an absolute waste of time. Ridiculous submission process and outrageous rejections.

Even using a full frame camera, good lighting, prime lens and good subject matter = rejections, rejections, rejections, rejections, rejections, rejections, rejections, rejections etc etc etc .................

They put me on the naughty step and asked me to submit some pics after a month. The trouble is I can see no logical pattern in what they choose to reject often the "border line" pics get rejected and stuff that is accepted everywhere else gets dumped.

Considering my portfolio is small here sales do OK so I might get round to reapplying sometime ...now I have some time freed by veer!!

Where can one find the rejections? I never know when to check to see if they have been approved or not which is a joke considering nothing gets approved anyway!

I've given up on PD a long time ago for that same reason - they reject almost everything...

Envato is the company. PhotoDune is their website/marketplace for stock photos/images. They have 6 other marketplaces (for video, for 3d models, for audio, etc...) but author can sell on multiple of their sites with same account and all sales flow into the same earnings balance - similar to having photos, vectors and video on ShutterStock.

I had not really given PhotoDune a second thought until I saw this thread.  So I submitted a few of my best images to see what happened.  A very high rejection rate considering the amount of payout they offer.  You are better off focusing on SS, IS and for mid-stock Alamy.

Good luck!

Ok, so I'm not alone.

I just had a 0% approval on a 230 images batch, while on other platforms it was ranging between 70%-90% approval, and some of the images have already been sold.

They're quite clear on the stuff they want, but my previously batches were composed by similar subjects and got a good approval rate, so I was a little bit concerned.

Probably for travel/nature images it's simply not worth
