I use microstock plus and Pond5 for me stopped working couple of months ago. They are working on a solution they tell me. Im not overly fussed as Pond5 does nothing for me anyway.

Any thoughts on Instagram changing the layout from square to portrait rectangle, from Instagram users? Certainly messed up a lot of large corporations pages who had made larger images from squares..

In the webcast about the merger both companies said ai had zero influence on sales and no loss occured. On the contrary their ai tools brought additional customers.
On Adobe the ai collection is a roaring success and many contributors make fantastic money with ai, while non ai ports report rising income as well.
Please stick to facts, not fantasy.
ss cut royalties drastically so produvers lost a lot of income.
As a result Adobe got recommended and preferred by the producer community.
I have found SS to be doing better than Adobe out of the last 3 months, at least for me anyway, based on images. In Jan so far SS are beating Adobe for myself, this hasnt been the case for me before.

Potential to loose 30% of my earnings if they merge to one website, basically my earnings are 30% SS, 30% iStock and 30% Abode, 10% Dreamtime, Pond5 etc.based on image sales only

Well, for me anyway and for November 2024 at least. I could see this happening a few months ago as sales became close and closer. SS - 230 image sales - 225 Adobe - 274 image sales - 196 I notice last few months 2 or 3 decent single sale values from SS around $20 each Prob wont last but interesting and have noticed drop in sales value from Adobe last 6 months.

I have noticed in last 2 weeks I have received emails every day or every other day confirmed files being reviewed, maybe things have sped up a bit
That states that you are either beginner level or you submitting AI "video".
I dont submit video of any sort or AI of any sort. I am a beginner in the grand scheme of things but have submit 25 images every week without fail for the last 8 years. End of 2023 review time slowed down for me then sped up feb 2024 for around a month then slowed down again and now sped up again start of Oct 2024 but last 7 years or so review times were decent.

I wouldnt dream of hiring a model for microstock but do sell many photos of people. People I know or on the street. Elderly sell best for me, most over 100 times.....

Adobe is a private business, they owe contributors nothing. It is your choice whether you contribute or not and it is their business to do as they please with, within law. I'm just not keen on the long wait for payment and long review time but it wont stop me contributing, oh and the Adobe forum is a waste of space, full of fanboys.

When you thought Adobe couldnt get any lower due to the 10 week plus review durations and length of wait for payments they are re-reviewing existing content and removing it after previously approving it :-) I had an email today removing one image due to the re-reviews taking place. Wouldn't suprise me if they were spending more time removing mages than approving new images.
That sounds a bit scary. If you don't mind my asking, was it a technical issue or an intellectual property issue that cause them to remove an image?
Very good question. I'd like to know the answer as well. If I had to take a guess, it would be intellectual property.
It is difficult to know incompatible with terms it stated with a link to their terms without saying which term. Photo of sports grounds.

Dreamtime accept 99.99% images and literally take minutes to review and put up for sale, sometimes seconds!

But how many contributors are there? We can only see who is better than us not who is worse than us :-)

Far too many variables for each person experience in stock to be able to compare your sales to the next, for me Adobe sales are still best performer but are decreasing in 2024 and think it will get worse in 2025 onwards, Shutterstock almost matched Adobe for me this month. Still decent pocket money for 60mins hobby work every week, around $800/month.

Mirko has an awesome port.
I remember in my early days with microstock around early 2020, mirko posted earnings for one month - $2500!
I asked him if this was for all his ports combined and he told me just Shutterstock and that he actually earned around $4500 in total that month.
I hope he's still doing well as he's clearly put in a lot of work and investment with his shoots, models, props and concepts.
I dont earn anywhere near that usually (only once when shutterstock purchased images from me - opps not meant to mention that) but i dont put any work in, photos of road signs gets me over $100 a month from shutterstock, keywording takes 5 mins max a week using microstockplus....if I want to do actual photography i'll get my film camera out - which earns me zero! :-)

For me Shutterstock is steadily catching up with Adobe sales, I reckon Shutterstock sales will overtake Adobe by end of the year.
