They want 12 of my pictures. Only half of them has not been submitted to microstock. I filling forms now and I guess if I can exclude other images later. Also what similar means? If I got photos from same location but different time would it qualify as similar? I guess this is pretty wide term form me.

This year only Shutterstock asked me for W-900 (I made more than $600). Does it mean that only SS is obligated to provide me with 1099 form? How do I handle others where I made some small payout last year?

I got lots of rejections of photos shot with circular polarizer. Inspectors claim that it was over filtered or had wrong WB.

I have been doing micros for less than year and I noticed that some holidays and events generate more in sales if you have right pictures ready at a time. I experienced spikes on Memorial Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I guess than here in US next one will be Valentine Day, right? To be ready I probably need to look at calendar and see what holiday is going to happen next month :-)

I earned $14 in October, then almost nothing in 2 months so I was surprised when I received notification about transfer to PayPal. I did not request money so why now, why not in November?

After half a year on microstock I am not sure if I actually found my sweet spot. I probably have no chance to compete with people like Yuri on studio shots of business situations. So far my most viewed/sold images are nature landscapes.

Tried to optimize catalog, restore previous one from backup and reinstall. No error message so I cannot guess what's wrong. It was working fine until yesterday when asked to make backup. Then I imported some pictures and tried to edit them. No changes to system that I am aware of.

I rented this lens for a weekend trip and I am trying to submit some photos to some sites. So far it seems they do not want this type of photos. At SS they actually rejected claiming than I am using some sort of software filter: "Effects--We do not allow autotracing, simple filters or artifical framing". I decided to keep frame so it can be visible that I used lens not software to generate this image :-)

I have heard that East Sierra is very popular among photographers at this time of the year. I am going there with couple friends for a weekend. My friend was trying to book hotel in Lee Vining and they told him that everything is booked for photography workshops :-)

It has been second weekend and I did not upload a single picture in October. Sales are slow on SS, 123RF and StockXpert which are usually my top 3.
