I was wondering the same thing. I'm not sure if I was nominated for other missions - am not great at keeping up with e-mail these days - but received the current one and it seems easy. If it was ten bucks a submission so I could make a quick $200 I would do it but for a buck each and a max of $20 would only do it out of curiosity. Since there is no keywording and the same model could be used I could be my own model and shoot them in 20 minutes, processing would be minimal to just change the file names and upload. Might take 40 minutes to an hour in total but that isn't really worth $20. Unless it would get you into other ones that maybe pay more. If anybody has done these, do they sometimes pay more than $1 per entry?

I stopped contributing there when they changed the terms in 2020. Still get downloads almost every day but it just isn't enough to get me to upload there again. If they were closing accounts just for inactivity then they would have closed mine long ago, although I do check for downloads most days out of curiosity.

I didn't pay attention to the e-mail. Yay is about the only agency that earns less than Panthermedia. The dead buying the dying doesn't seem like a great move to me.

I appealed all of mine and all were quickly reinstated. The AI or whatever they used to flag them was clearly incompetent.

I think Adobe is the only agency that reports earnings rather than payouts. Since that's what they reported to the IRS, that's what I put on my return. The good thing is that since you've already paid taxes on the earnings you don't pay any more when you take a payout. It's all the same amount just different timing.

Is the problem with the agencies or your internet connection? I would see about increasing the speed of my internet connection first. Unless you are a superstar I doubt any agencies will process physical media. Good luck!

My best was 2017 and it's been all downhill since then

June 2024 was my worst month on SS since August 2009, a few months after I started. Of course I stopped submitting there when they changed the system in 2020 so that doesn't help. Every time I think I should just go ahead and submit my already processed and key worded images to them it just isn't worth the bother for 10 cents a pop.

No updates on this. I have around 700 files waiting and half of them are waiting more than a month. Never happed this before to me. What's wrong with Adobe ?
I have some that were submitted months ago and still haven't been reviewed. I assume they are deluged with, and possibly prioritizing, AL images and that has slowed down reviews for everyone.

I think it's all seasonal, depending on customer needs / port specifics, and not algorithm change.
Yep

It hasn't been worth it since SS changed their terms in 2020.
All agencies have dropped off a cliff except for Adobestock, which is hanging in there, but not enough to make it worthwhile economicqlly relative to almost any other use of your time. With AI and cell phones we are obsolete and no longer needed. Now it is just for fun - I still take a camera with me and will upload travel pics and maybe some of my cats but only for my own personal enjoyment, I no longer think of microstock as a way to make money. It was fun while it lasted.

Not going to nominate any of my selected images. Some of them are already good sellers on Adobe and others even more so on other agencies. Also, I value my work enough not to give any "free photos". I respect other photographers enough not to endorse free photos.
I understand and respect your viewpoint. It is a tough call. I don't nominate any that have sold well in the past or on other sites. Adobe is spending money on this and not getting anything in return so they must think the additional traffic justifies the expense. If some of my images that haven't sold well can get me five bucks apiece and help drive users to the site that results in increased sales later on then it is all good. Of course it people just take the free images and use them instead of buying anything from Adobe or anywhere else then we are just shooting ourselves in the foot for a short-term gain. If the free images cause people to buy Adobe subscriptions but not download any paid images then Adobe gains and we lose (except for the five bucks). Without full information it is impossible to know what is best for us.

That was definitely something - especially with the little thing's eyes bulging out near the end. Made me laugh. Definitely made their point that the new iPad is very thin but not sure why anybody would want to buy one.

In three years I'm up to $87and it doesn't look like I'm going to reach $100 any time soon. And I think it is wrong and maybe even unethical not to pay accumulated earnings to those who want to close their account.
If you've made $87 in three years then you're averaging $29 per year and should reach payout in less than six months if downloads continue as they have. So far almost all the agencies that have closed have paid out at the end and DT seems to be doing OK. No sense spending time worrying about something that likely will not happen, or at least not anytime soon.

I never received the e-mail - just checked my spam folder to be sure - and haven't received my payment. The one I requested from DT the same day arrived in PayPal quickly.

I just requested a payout too. No e-mail confirmation or other indication that it is moving forward. I requested one from DT the same day and that is on its way. One agency is legitimate the other one not so much.

I don't see how any agency has a right to charge us commission on our own money, just for processing the claim.
Exactly! The payback isn't from additional sales but something meant to go directly to the artist. For iStock to take most of it seems wrong - it's like the owner of a restaurant stealing their employee's tips. I also got a payback directly from DACS which was more than the iStock gross amount - it is all very confusing.

I was looking through my December iStock statement and noticed a payment from DACS, of which iStock took 85%. I always claim DACS directly and certainly don't want an agency taking 85%. I haven't noticed this in the past but probably wasn't paying attention. Does anybody know what this is about? Does it affect our regular DACS payback? Really don't want them taking 85% if I can claim it directly, although if it is in addition to the regular payback then I guess something is better than nothing. If anybody knows more about this please let me know.

perhaps if they trust the ip address you're ok going forward
That would be my guess.

In the old days the levels system made a big difference but nowadays almost all sales are subs where the levels are irrelevant. My last credit sale was in October where a level 2 sale netted me $3.45. Unfortunately those are rare nowadays. What I really hate is allowing TIFF downloads with subs - those should be limited to the smaller sizes to encourage credit sales.

I always have my cats do those challenges for me. They're not human but they think they are. Or at least smarter than us.

I got mine on Dec. 4th. They deducted some fees which was annoying but at least they paid everything out as promised. RIP CanStock.
