Yes, that is correct. The keywords are displayed publicly in alphabetical order however the order you add them when indexing and submitting remains on the back end and influences the search results. The first 7 keywords have the greatest impact.
-Mat
Why do you tell about the "first 7 keywords" when Fotolia tells the "first 5 keywords"? And in the Adobe side only the first 5 keywords are highlighted with a blue color, so if it is the first 7 keywords, as you say, why there are not 7 positions highlighted with the blue color? So how is it exactly? And why you and Fotolia say different things?
I couldn't tell you. You are welcome to do just 5. For me, when I upload I make sure that keywords #6 and #7 are more important than anything that follows. Best of luck, Mat

The first 7 keywords have the greatest emphasis. The minimum number of keywords you can add is 5. I recommend you add between 15-20 for maxim visibility.
As for the view counter I don't have an eta. The view stats you see in Fotolia are for Fotolia only and do not represent Adobe Stock views at this time.

I don't know anything about the app but I can tell you that all Adobe Stock sales are combined with Fotolia sales. The sales you see at Fotolia are both Adobe Stock and Fotolia sales.

Mat,
In addition to my previous unanswered question I ask another one:
When will the EPS upload be fixed?
The EPS vector uploads have been fixed for months. If you are still having trouble you will likely need to use ftp and not the web uploader. -Mat

Yay for half a dozen people! Why would you announce this here? It would be much better received at Stocksy forums (I'm assuming Stocksy has forums). For the rest of us it means editorial competition we are no part of.
I appreciate your feedback . It is important to me to communcate changes happening at Adobe Stock to you whenever I can in as timely a manner as possible. Some of the changes I announce will have an impact on you, others may not. Regardless, I think it's very important that our contributor community stays informed. Thanks, Mat

Hi All, I wanted to share some big news with you. Adobe Stock announced today the availability of editorial content through partnerships with Reuters and USA TODAY Sports. In addition, a Premium collection partnership with Stocksy has been announced. We often get the question from our contributor community when we will accept editorial content, so I wanted to let you know that initially, Adobe Stock will be focusing on strategic content partners for the Editorial collection. A broader contributor program for editorial content may be possible at a later time. There are several blog posts summarizing the changes and announcements here: https://blogs.adobe.com/creativecloud/-Mat Hayward

This may have been requested before, but I would like to see some feedback on the dashboard after a credit conversion has been made. Something does show up right away, but then it seems to disappear. Something like "X credits have been requested for conversion."It's taking a few days for those credits to be paid out, so it would be nice to know it is in the works.
Duly noted. Thank you!

Hi All,
We are continuing to work hard in an effort to improve your experience with the Adobe Stock Contributor Portal. One thing we heard loud and clear through your helpful feedback is the need to see a preview of your videos while working in the tagging tool. In addition, we recognize the need for photo contributors to view a larger version of your photos from the indexing page.
I am happy to inform you that today we have updated the portal and these features are now live. While indexing your photos and videos you will see a small round icon with two arrows inside of it (located above keyword boxes). Clicking this icon will enlarge your image and/or activate your video to view.
Please keep the suggestions and feedback coming. What do you want to see next? If you haven't yet had a chance to sync your Fotolia account with the Adobe Stock Contributor Portal you can do so by visiting: contributor.stock.adobe.com

I would like the option to turn of the autofill for keywords so that I can fill in keywords with a simple cut and paste in a blank box. It sometimes brings up one i had not thought but right now the interface is really time consuming for me. I put my keywords in a list in the right order and then cut ans paste. If there is an option to tun it off, then one can work for both groups.
If you upload an image with the keywords already embedded in the metadata then the auto-keyword tool is automatically deactivated. If you don't want to use any of the auto-keywords you can click "erase all keywords" under the keyword boxes to remove them all. Once done you can paste your entire list of keywords (separated by comma or semi-colon) into the top box. Click the tab key to distribute keywords into their own individual boxes after doing so. -Mat

We still accept outside releases as long as all the necessary information is covered. 3 things that are required in addition to the legal language are the (legibly) printed name and signature of the model, the photographer and a witness.
The photographer name must match the name on your account (not an agency name for example). If the model is a minor then the printed name of the model is required in addition to the printed name and signature of the a parent or guardian.
The date of the witness signature must match the date of the model signature (they need to actually witness the signing).
Those are the most common issues I've seen with releases. If you still can't figure out what the problem is, send me an email and I'll be happy to take a look.

My files do meet the criteria, I did upload them zip files thru web and ftp both. Some files make it (maybe 10%) but most of them don't.
That's unusual. Send me a direct email and I'll help you get sorted out. [email protected]-Mat

No it is not up nor running, all my uploaded vectors have failed for image dimensions reasons. If fotolia/adobe requirements for uploading vectors have changed maybe we should know about it.
No changes that I'm aware of. Some contributors have experienced issues with the web uploader for vectors. Assuming your files meet our criteria then please try uploading via ftp and see if that works better for you. One common mistake contributors are making is attempting to submit a .rar file instead of .zip so make sure that's not the issue first. -Mat

You know I did even consider that but trust me I know what I'm doing and not a total retard.
Unlike the "artistes" who shoot trees and random leaves and rubbish.
The shots were exactly what they wanted and framed very well of subjects in Europe.
"This post is useless without images"

Yeah you are right
DOH!
and No I don't need confirmation from other photographers as to the quality of my work
You're absolutely right, you don't need confirmation from other photographers as to the quality of your work. You only need confirmation as to the quality of your work from the stock sites you intend to sell them on... but unfortunately you didn't get that.
Don't get me wrong, your work could be great and Adobe have made a bad call, but your refusal to accept that the issue might actually be the quality of your work, precariously straddles the line between confidence in your work, and arrogance. Just sayin'.
Nah been doing this long enough now to know if I am in the wrong.
And no I'm not arrogant I know the difference between a bad call and stupid reviews FT has always been full of it when it comes down to reviews.
My point is that Fotolia/Adobe issue a call for shots that are quite clearly going to run in to problems with their own acceptance rules.
They should either adjust their rules and accept editorial like other agencies or just state very clearly that their call for images is worthless.
As it is you can supply an image that is quite clearly editorial in nature and sometimes it gets accepted by FT and sometimes it gets rejected.
It's a halfway house as it stands.
I think they need to clarify and not leave contributors guessing.
@Sammy The Cat, send me a link to your portfolio directly along with the image numbers in question that were rejected. I'll be happy to take a look and provide you with some feedback. email: [email protected]Kind regards, Mat Hayward

We would like to share an update regarding small and medium sized videos on Fotolia. We increased the price for small videos from 12 credits to 30 credits, and for medium videos from 30 to 45 credits, which will result in higher royalties in parallel. Downloads for HD 720 and HD 1080 remain at 60 and 75 credits. The royalties you receive for Fotolia credit sales are determined by your rank; please see this for more info: https://us.fotolia.com/Info/Contributors/Royalties/VideosVideos on Adobe Stock are offered at HD 1080 and 4k only and you will always earn 35% royalties for every purchase on Adobe Stock. -Mat

Hello All, Not a week goes by where I'm not asked at least once what type of content Adobe Stock is looking for. The general, catch-all answer is that regardless of the subject matter, buyers are looking for authenticity. Real looking people in real situations with genuine expressions and interactions. That remains true and I expect it always will. That being said, a more specific list of content needs and requests has been generated. If you are looking for some motivation on what to shoot next..look no further than the list linked below.... https://adobe.ly/2pdvHeB

So....from what I see at this time on Adobe is that the EPS upload process simply does not work and at this time there is zero way to get vector content onto adobe. Am I understanding this correctly? It seems to have been like this all week.
You are half right. EPS vector uploads are temporarily disabled. You can upload AI vectors however. I'll be sure to post an update here in MSG once the EPS uploads are reactivated. thanks, Mat

Hi Mat,
With Adobe now being a member of Pond5's Global Partner Program...I would like some clarification on whether we should keep uploading video to Fotolia/Adobe or vice versa. I gather the issue of duplication of files on both sites must be a problem. Thanks.
@emblem: Not all Pond5 Content will be available at Adobe Stock. If you are currently submitting videos to both agencies, I recommend you continue to do so. As I have more information to share about Adobe and Pond5, I will be sure to post here. -Mat

Any answer on changing prices of uploaded files via the adobe interface? What price do they go up as on FL if I upload them on adobe?
The extended license price is automatically set to the maximum possible price on Fotolia. If you are ranked silver or higher, your EL price is 100 credits. The standard license credits price is 1 for XS and goes up from there. -Mat

since most of us already have keywords in the IPTC, a better use for autokeywording would be to suggest ADDITIONAL keywords
but a MUCH more useful tool would be auto-categorizing, which is currently the slowest part of submitting (still faster than many sites)
The auto-category feature you described is in place and works very well. Check it out! -Mat
