I wonder what you mean here. I just checked a comp image and the image on the page and i see watermarks. I must be misunderstanding something.
https://us.fotolia.com/id/87277466
edit: do you mean on the thumbnails? that's the only place I don't see any watermark. And those are less than about 2" wide at 72ppi. I guess they could be used for something, but...

Quote from: ShadySue on September 13, 2016, 17:31Yes, you are right. On a few isolated images of mine. Not many.Quote from: hellou on September 13, 2016, 17:27
Preview images are watermarked. What do you mean? It`s fine for me.
It depends on the image. The watermark hardly shows at all on light-coloured images or isolations.
Quote from: jazz42 on September 12, 2016, 17:43I will never pay this high amount to sell my images. No way. Make it $1 for 500 images. If no sales (payout) i want have back my money and the option to cancel the account at any time! Maybe i will jump.
Hi Justin,
Nice initiative, but 30$ a month is a VERY high rate even if you offer 100% commission.
My main concern is that you business plan does not really motivate you to find buyers for our photos (you get 0%) - it actually mainly motivates you to find new photographers, who are willing to invest the 30$ a month. All right, the first six months are free, but still... How about a payment model where you keep the first 30$ of the photographer's sale? That should also motivate you to do something about getting good sales for your contributors.

Hmmm. I had more than three times as many sales as usual today on Fotolia, and 2/3 were sub sales all made at exactly the same time for two keywords. Someone's stocking up.
Wait, you can find out the keywords people search for on Fotolia? Where is that?

I was looking information in the forum about this rare thing but didn't find any, all my emails from SS come as if they were sent at 1970, did you see that?

@Sean, We are not removing the option to select a size, just changing the pricing structure. We will continue providing small, medium, and large sizes for each image.
That wasn't the point. Nobody really cares about choosing a size when they're all the same price - we all have mega-gazillion-gigabit connections. When I only need the flexibility that comes with a 800x800 pixel images, I'd be annoyed if I have to pay the same price as the guy who needs the 5500x3800 pixel image. I shopped GL for my blog images because I could get the smallest size at a price that afforded me limited flexibility.
Quote from: lbarn on August 12, 2016, 04:20Thank you. Now i get it. First i thought all 2.000.000 files are for "free". Just 115.000. Information in small font size
They contacted video artists early on and offered to buy certain files for their library. I don't know if they are still using that method, or are making some of their own now?
Quote from: lbarn on August 11, 2016, 23:30Ah ok, thank you. So videblocks has 115.000 video files. How they get/ won them? Crazy. But good to hear they do not give others files for "free".
Video blocks has two portions one a subscription side where they own the rights to the videos and the other where artists can upload their videos and get paid nearly 100% (minus paypal fee) of the 49.00. When you look at their site both the subscription and the artists videos are shown with an icon depicting which one is which.
I don't know about graphicstock

....
- The new rank sorting seem to be determined by how long the image has been on SS and/or how many downloads it has over its lifetime. This new change will definitely benefit veterans and older images. The newer images with less downloads are pushed down the rankings.
