General Stock Discussion / Re: Coronavirus ?
« on: March 15, 2020, 13:31 »
Just saw that numbers in Italy went up again and the situation is not looking good in whole Europe in general.

Wishing good luck to everyone and stay home, stay safe as much as you can and lets hope the amplitude will hit the top very soon.

Mortality can also go way higher if the thing spreads more cause hospitals will lack materials starting from respirators which are saving a lot of harder cases.

Some countries lacking respirators are desperately trying to order them and demand is way higher than production rate a richer countries have already forbidden export.

There is also a fact that people are dying indirectly, an Italian doctor said today that in some hospitals they are not even looking at people that come with heart attacks, not performing any surgeries  at all cause operation rooms have been turned into isolated patients rooms because lack of space. If it spreads more people with not even get basic help for any issue anymore and it that case mortality can go waaay up then now while they still got resources in material and medical staff which is already started to be short.

And we are talking about richest Italian region with one of the better health-care systems in Europe. Some less rich countries have less than 200 respirators in whole country.

I asked the Adobe Stock Latin America and they told me that they would delete all the content from the Venezuela accounts. So, it's very sad.

Really sad. All this work to be gone.  Hope that you have a backup of all data that you entered in content?

Yes, i have a backup.

I'm glad to hear that, Alexander.

And yes, George is right. Your situation is sad.

Unfortunately, lots of things are sad in this world today. I'm 73 years old (for context born in the USA the year after WWII ended), and for many reasons I consider this the most depressing time period I've lived through.

I'm especially sorry that problems you did nothing to cause and can do nothing to fix have hit you so directly. You have my sincerest sympathy.

Thank you, very much!  and yes, the world today it's very difficult to live, i don't know how it's in countries called first world, but in third world countries with hyperinflation like Venezuela it's like hell. Several countries in South America now have very strong social conflicts, Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina, Venezuela and others. Communism, socialism, capitalism and neoliberalism, I think they are models that no longer work.
I am not even sure what neoliberalism is but I bet it is a failure also. America is not perfect by any means but Capitalism dose work, you work hard, study hard and you keep your wealth.

Yes, I and also bet that if you had any, I mean even basic idea about main social and financial elements and fundamental branches of the system you are supporting you would most certainly pull out that bet before even placing it and claimed that it works cause it basically represents all that you stand for in your posts.

If one who "is sure" what things are, forgets about sad aspect of all this, I have to admit its pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good humor.

Good healthcare is in America. No one said it is affordable. Poor folk in America can get good healthcare with Medicaid for free or little cost. The middle class has the biggest problem with the cost of health insurance. If they have no insurance no hospital will turn anyone away in the ER room. My son who is a doctor tells me his hospital only gets about 15% of people that pay their ER bill. I pay 1500 dollars a month for my healthcare for my wife and myself. That is with a 3500 deductible. If you want social medical care , go for it. Not for me....

That is the whole point of social aspect of health care. If its affordable only for handful of people there is not a purpose at at, and also on the other hand system is set that there is no way that everyone will be able to pay that much.

Health care should be build from grounds that everyone can afford it and then increase its quality for everyone and not that most people cannot afford it but Mick Jagger and company get a great one.

Sean I have been to all those places. Very high taxes, some have free health care but poor care. Many of those people with money come to America to get great heath care. Even Mic Jagger came to California to get his heart worked on. He is from the UK and they have really poor free health care. Not even sure if Mic would have been cover because of his old age in the UK.  Sean it seems you clearly like Socialism in America. That is your right. For me Socialism is just a pre- word for communism. Sean is the world going to come to an end in twelve years for our abuse of the pollution in the world. You don't even need to answer that, AOC says it will come to an end.....We all know AOC is so smart...

Secede. Seriously. Get by on $1 back for $1 paid in tax. New York gets back only 80, yet THAT'S where MicK Jagger went for his heart operation. My mother lay in the hallway on a gurney for 24 hours when she went to the emergency room...in New Jersey. She was seriously injured by subpar medical care...right here in the USA. Right here in the USA, where getting subpar medical care not only injures you but also bankrupts you. These are the countries with the best medical care:

Canada
Qatar
France
Norway
New Zealand
Germany
Hong Kong
The Netherlands
Switzerland
Singapore
Luxembourg
Japan
Sweden

The U.S. ranks #37.

Coincidentally enough, Texas ranks #37 in health care in the U.S. Maybe that's why Jagger didn't go to Texas for his operation.

Why didn't he get his operation in the UK if the care is better there and free?

Because he is a celebrity loaded with money and lives mostly in NY with his ballerina gf.

But on the other hand if US health care is so good and affordable...

How come that in 2017, more than 1.4 MILLION Americans sought health care in a variety of countries around the world ?
That makes 12,7% of all medical tourism in the world even though America has 4,3% of worlds population which makes US to triple the worlds average...and growing.

And why does medical tourism from US have 25% growth per year if things are going so well ?

Please start another company for your charity aspirations and stop using contributor commissions to make you look generous. It's a bit of a sham
They are open about how it works. No one is forcing you to submit work there.

Maybe he is also a philanthropist, just an anonymous donor, who likes to help stumbled companies. When I saw they have to cut commission to stay competitive I just had to quickly browse my HDD-s for new uploads that can help them out.

The worst thing is I didn't really want to do it but that philanthropist gene inside me started a chemical reaction a wasn't capable to fight with.

Im just waiting for the moment when some genius there or anywhere cracks up an idea to charge contributors cloud storage space for media while the agency is able to sell that media. The more media of yours they sell the less you pay. When you hit zero then you are payed with medals...like bronze or silver. The more medals you have
you get increased bandwidth to download your own backup files.

If someone from the headquarters is reading this...Im not looking for a job. Or listening.  ;D

I didn't really follow what's happening at Canva. First look at the stats shows that my income dropped like 500% between March and June and stayed at that level.

Is that only my case or have others experienced the same?

It is no wonder that revenue drops when they invite customers to use over 1 million new free images.

Ok, so I guess that started around that time ?

Payout should be $25 for DT
$100 threshold is ridiculous given the micro stock environment in general, never mind a low volume sales one like DT

Agree. I asked them a year ago to make it 50. Never a word Back.

Makes me wonder if the only thing keeping DT alive is the "float" they get on all our delayed
payouts.
Sadly I agree Martha. I have $98.71 showing for 3 weeks. thats Unheard of. I wrote them today asking for $100.01 cent and said after i got paid I would close My account. Then they can hide all they want because I don't care and Im Not gonna spend any More time with this. There in Tennessee ? USA. really?

So yesterday you really hoped this Great Old site gets it back together and today you are requesting payment and account closure. Am I missing something? Did you have sales that were not added to your 98$ so that can purposely hold on your potential payment or you did not make sales in 3 weeks ?

Print on Demand Forum / Re: Red Bubble Technical Support
« on: August 02, 2019, 20:25 »
Does anyone here have any experience with technical support from Red Bubble?  They don't offer phone support, and I've been unable to get a technical issue resolved or responded to for several weeks now.  Their Live Chat doesn't offer support from the "Artist Success Team", and their Facebook and Twitter pages won't respond to Artist questions, so the only avenue is to fill out their submission form.  I've done that 4 times now with no luck.  Each time they say they'll "escalate" the issue, but then I don't hear back.  Until my issue is resolved, I'm unable to upload new artwork to their site.  Very frustrating.  If anyone has had any luck getting them to respond, please send along the feedback.  Thanks.

There is a thing it helped me once. That chat support, that person is probably not going to be able to help but it will be able to push your request to someone who can. You just have to insist.

My problem was that i opened new niche based account and it was suspended by known RB glitch suspension during creation of account. Then based on IP it automatically suspended my old account too. No help for weeks, I contacted them multiple times on support, social media etc with no success.

At the end I forced a bit (politely) that "chat guy" after he said he cant help and he finally told me that he is going to forward my question to someone and it was resolved in less than an hour and i dont think it was just coincidence . My accounts were just enabled again without a single letter of explanation.

« on: September 03, 2017, 21:01 »
And always remember, "it's a sale you would otherwise not have gotten."   ;D

Even more: in the best case scenario, it is a sale you would otherwise get under a dollar for, in average, from SS & Co, instead of a significantly higher RPD, through these distributors channels.

By all means, if being poor but with solid egalitarian and socialistic principles makes you feel better about yourself, don't hesitate to opt-out.

Significantly my a.s , just had 2 sales of those where I earned 0.45$ and 0.54$ which is even significantly lower than SS & Co

Good luck with getting rich even without principles  ;)

iStockPhoto.com / Re: iStock Royalty Change
« on: November 23, 2016, 20:16 »
ok, what i dont understand with some of you

this petition is mostly because of those insulting 2 cent per image

you dont care that you will earn 14 times less from subscription sales, but suddenly you care about 15% commission.(this not apply for those of you who deleted pictures when 15% cut happened)

i personally think that everything below 50% is unacceptable, that's why i upload to alamy even my sales are very small there, but if we can say something, even if that dont change anything, just to be heard I dont see anything bad in that.

for those who continue to upload images there for 15%, and don't what to sign petition but are signing that they agree with 15% and 2 cents royalty every time they upload new images there, how that makes sense to you?

Those who continue, well they deserve exactly what they get and it makes perfect sense to me :)

About istock...sooner they sink completely...the better :)

« on: November 18, 2016, 19:16 »
I for one think its doable, that it would work for sure at least in long term and that member could benefit if the cards are played right.

Didn't think much about it but for starters main terms on which its is based would have to stay unchangeable and for rest.."one member" "one vote" formula would be a nice way to go in my opinion.

A Coop accompanying site found by memberships would be a nice way to resolve many questions and doubts and if by a chance it starts to be successful it would make a nice tool for people who want to contribute around for peanuts. So many doors could open as I see it.

Just a though though :)

Print on Demand Forum / Re: POD strategy: how and where to sell?
« on: November 07, 2016, 07:57 »
Well, I seriously think its almost irrelevant where you sell cause if you want to earn from that seriously you are mainly gonna have to drag your buyers yourself anyway, which POD sites are openly stating.

Im avoiding the ones that would like to form my price or throw me peanuts. For sure it wont hurt to take some top positions in strong keyword searches but that thing usually involves full time commenting, liking joining group cults and stuff like that or you can do it by generating sales for your stuff.

People that are selling serious amounts of prints on decent prices claim to be producing art and marketing in at least 40% - 60% time ratio in favor of marketing , and i believe that.

Didnt visit their site for a while...

So whats the procedure to delete files or if they dont let me to do that, then to close the account or whatever name they gave for that?

Thx
Deactivate files one at a time via Manage File, or contact CR to close your account, as per your contract with them.

Tnx  ;)

As a Brit I'm very proud of the events that took place last night. I stayed up all night glued to the TV as all the results started to roll in. The people in the UK want change. We invented parliament and democracy in the modern age and yet the EU is the most antidemocratic system put into place. If Brussels and the EU parliament were more transparent and we could elect it's members then I think us Brits would have probably have voted to remain. The EU was initially setup for a free market but year after year they imposed new laws which didn't relate to each individual country.

Both my grandparents fought in the 2nd world wars for our freedom and democratic society. They would have been proud last night if they were both around. The EU is turning into a machine state and once again it's been up to us Brits to save the day for Europe once again. Other countries will go free soon and each country will get back it's originality and freedom.

Errr, EU Parliament is directly elected by the people.  Last election was 2014.   If you chose not to vote, that's a different issue.  But then don't complain about the EU parliament you got.

EU parliament its a joke in a first place!!!

On the other hand...

The European Commission (EC) is the executive body of the European Union responsible for proposing legislation, implementing decisions, upholding the EU treaties and managing the day-to-day business of the EU.

Did you have a chance to vote those people in and when ?

What democratic power do peoples of Europe have to vote those people out ?

They are being officially propose by EU Council...give me a break... that is exactly same model that was used in USSR or as its being used in North Korea now no matter how you call it.

Thats called dictatorship with or without you agree on that  ;)

Definition: "Dictatorship is a form of government where a country (or group of countries) is ruled by one person or political entity, and exercised through various mechanisms to ensure the entity's power remains strong."

175
I wonder who the little Englanders are going to blame for a possible recession and the loss of trade volume and jobs that will happen. They can't blame the EU anymore when they are out. So who's next? The Indians maybe? Or the Muslims? Immigrants in general?

You are asking that because trade goes just in one direction, and EU companies dont give a s..t about that market ?
I see that they have a pretty decent starting point in future negotiations with their GDP (nominal) per capita being high above the EU average  ;)

Also Norway or Switzerland are doing pretty well without giving their sovereignty in hands of  group of people never elected by no one, or if you prefer to call them by the name they gave them self ( European commission ). Compete print of the ex USSR model btw, and we all know how that ended  ;)

Possible recession you say ?  Well luckily there are other possibilities with equal, if not higher chances to happen  ;)
