as good of an idea as this is... and as much complaining about each other as is done here. I don't think it is worth encouraging with it's own thread

You'll probably be asked to send a DMCA notice to Fotolia / Adobe

Hello everyone. Please criticise my portfolio: --- In general I take aerial views and time lapses. Travel mostly. I'm uploading in prores codec to SS, fotolia, pond5 and videoblocks. Just one clip has been sold, in 4k quality though. I know there are some rubbish clips I've taken just to "get and upload something" in ragged day (especially in winter).
What do you think about aspect ratio? In my clips it is 1.8963:1 mostly (Actually it corresponds to 4096 X 2160 sizes). Are there any disadvantages in comparison with 16:9?
How do you change preview picture guys (thumbnail)? Set poster frame in Adobe Premiere Pro does not work always. I mean it's not "captured" by all stock agencies.
Thank you.
Please start a separate thread if you want a critique of your own work. Don't hijack murakami's thread.

Hello All,
Not a week goes by where I'm not asked at least once what type of content Adobe Stock is looking for. The general, catch-all answer is that regardless of the subject matter, buyers are looking for authenticity. Real looking people in real situations with genuine expressions and interactions.
That remains true and I expect it always will. That being said, a more specific list of content needs and requests has been generated. If you are looking for some motivation on what to shoot next..look no further than the list linked below....

Thanks for the list - tons of useful info there.

For stock photos, I never shoot over ISO 800, there is simply too many rejections for noise. For personal use or personal projects I'm happy to shoot at ISO 12800.. but for stock that will never fly.
Try shrinking the images to 6mp.

Just wanted to express how happy I am using this new software. I had a few issues using it, but the support was incredible. I emailed the software developer when I had an issue, and every time he replied at lightning speed with a solution. It makes a lot of difference when you buy software new for the first time and you get fantastic support - makes you feel very safe and you know whatever happens someone is there to help you. Great work StockSubmitter - keep it up
Agreed - great program!

I had an image rejected once because the review thought they saw something that looked like steam or fog or something covering part of the models face. yep - that's exactly what they saw - it was a steam therapy at a spa.

I removed a couple posts from this thread - trying to keep the discussion on topic.

I don't have any good solution - but I do always try and leave a USD balance in Paypal account (my bank account is NOK) and whenever I need to buy photo gear, website fees, or other items, I try to purchase from a store that takes USD and paypal. That way I can use my money and avoid the currency exchange.

The 2016 survey is now live. you can fill it out here http://microstocksurvey.com/index.php/272488/index/I know, I know - I was super slack on the 2015 survey and still don't have the results posted. I've been a little over-run with projects this year I still think this survey is quite interesting however and provides rather interesting results - especially as it is the 9th year in a row that it has been run. So join us again and fill in your stats. I'll try and be much better this year and get the results posted mid Feb (including the 2015 numbers)

I have to look back to 2012 numbers to find a worse December than 2016. I don't have my final yearly numbers finished, but they are certainly down from 2015. Port size up about 15%

As it's a composite image you should be easily able to prove it's yours by providing the full res versions of each image. Especially if some of them aren't online individually. I hope they get you back online right away!
yes - and providing out takes from the shots that haven't been uploaded

I assume you are talking about an exam in the US. Norway just released an exam for drone operators as well.

Sorry guys - sorry I haven't posted it yet. I've been too busy with other projects this year I need to get my priorities in order again I'll launch the 2016 survey on time this year and will try to get last year's results out soon. If nothing else, at least post a link to where you can view the results - even if it isn't organized in a nice blog post
