Nice, i have made also some flat lay photos, look
Nice useful backgrounds for people to download, and they are flat lays not my angled shots on assorted backgrounds. Even if you sell off most of your equipment, you'll still have a table and a window and props. Just remember to keep whatever you use for the steady overhead camera mount.
Returning this topic to the OP, yes flat lays for backgrounds and topical images, are a good idea and fairly simple if someone wants to try making some. I haven't really. I appreciate the reminder that there are areas worth working at for diversity in my collections.
Maybe tomorrow?
Well photos shown are made with flash light and softbox, i'm selling most of my equipment , but i will keep with some gears. I need money, that the reason i selling my equipment and you know, microstock doesn't give money as in the past. I hope the images sell well, the first image i sold it on Istock/Getty for $6.

How many dollars cost those backgrounds?
They are usually selfmade. There are a lot of tutorials out there. Many people use old planks from bulky waste collections or they buy cheap shelves with planks at hardwear stores and paint them to appear old. You can also buy paper printed with old wood pattern.
Dumpster find, flooring sample, I didn't like the fake base on this, which was too light and just doesn't look right. New version, I'll see?

Counter top photo sample from a home improvement store. 8x10 glossy of sand:

I like that he's using natural light from a window. Low cost, nice soft diffused lighting.
Natural light, Formica table top:

Posted board, under a dollar and even if it does cost $2 someplace else, it's a reusable background, small investment compared to all the rest that anyone uses to create stock images?
With all the creatives and open thinking people here, I'm sure anyone can find free or inexpensive backgrounds and accessories, if they try.
Nice, i have made also some flat lay photos, look

Yes. 30$ is right!
And that's $30 accumulated across all sales and agencies, combined. No waiting to reach $100 on DT!
thanks to everyone!

Alamy responded today, saying all payments were made yesterday.
But I have not received mine.
For my 16 years with multiple agencies, this is the first time my payment has gone missing.
I received mine! $57.08.
Thanks for the reply. When did you get yours?
I have not heard anything back from Alamy after reporting that the payment was not received.
Transaction date 17 August 2021

Hi
I have a 1.7k port and increasing with Wirestock that gets a few sales a month - had 0 sales in the past 3 weeks or so - totally dried up.
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing a big drop in sales.
Thanks C
Because it is august, maybe!

Upgrade if it's something you want and can afford. But if you are using MS for the decision diamond then only you can make that call. None of us knows how much you make from MS, but my guess is that there are very few who make enough money to use MS as the decision diamond for new gear purchases. I have a day job. I buy gear when I want it. If it's expensive, then I budget for it, setting a little aside each paycheck. I really never buy anything specifically for MS anymore aside from perhaps some cheap props. My income in MS has gone from about $4k a month to $1k a month and keeps going down. How could I justify buying new gear for MS with that kind of trend? So from my lens, if I was basing a purchase decision on MS alone, new gear would get nixed. Your mileage may vary.
$1k a month, woow, that's a lot of money, i make barely almost $50 a month i'm very screwed in microstock, but thanks to God, my main income is not microstock.

Hi Mat,
Removing the video and pretend that 'nothing has happened' and 'nothing was said there' is not kind from Adobe.
Thanks for the links, but I have not been able to find in the links provided on your first message the info inside the paid course, like, for example, a masterclass on artistic direction (attached) or the exclusive briefs mentioned in the video by Mariana:
"This call for content is sent to all our collaborators, so please subscribe if you are not recieving it. [...] And this call for content is exclusive to some collaborators (usually the top ones), but what I will do is give it to you (you = to all who paid the subscription) because I am interested in your growth."
WOW, thanks Mariana for being interested only in the growth of those who pay.
Anyways, makes no sense to continue with this discussion if we are going in circles and Adobe's position is negating the facts. I know you did all you could.
Enjoy your holidays.
Maybe Stockeros guys are lying saying they have privileged information from Adobe. The only purpose it's selling their courses. Some people use this kind of strategies.

Hey Folks,
My equipment is aging but how do I justify buying a new mirrorless dSLR and RF lenses that will set me back about $10,000 plus? Just a few years ago I would upgraded without a thought but today and the future it seems stupid to spend that kind of money.
I will keep my old camera and lenses for now...
. My newer camera is a Canon 60d 18 mp, i bought it about 2012 year. Besides i have a Canon XT 8.0 mp (bought on 2015) and an old Canon 5D 12,8 mp (bought on 2016). I will never buy a camera again. I don't have money for that. I'm selling some photography accessories for buying some food and paying bills. Microstock is not my main income. I would be nice if i have joined to microstock world in the beginning, because this going down hill.

How many days takes Wirestock for processing images?. I sent some image, they are on Status "Processing". Seems to be very different... my experience: -> editorial with keywords included are reviewed quickly within a day or two -> commercial images with keywords included are reviewed within some days -> images using easy submission can take up to some weeks - I ususally send an email to the support then, which works well
Another experience: -> upload commercial images using easy submission (keywords done by wirestock) seem to be rejected with a lot higher percentage then images where the keywords are submitted too
Thanks, i believe the process it would be fast. Hope to sell something there!

Hi all! This is my first post on the community, I have been reading and learning a lot from you though
Ok, my question is regarding Adobestock contributor LATAM. Recently they decided to make a shift in their strategy and they are now selling their exclusive briefs and private lessons through a third party company (a small company their friends have created to sell 'make a living from photography' courses with monthly subscription).
I have nothing against this third company, it is quite normal that photographers want to sell their courses, but selling Adobestock contributor content is completely different. Somehow we all are part of the statistics that leads to content in need and as a contributor this system sounds unfair to me. I haven't found anything similar in the English speaking community, so I wanted to ask if this it is also happening in all Adobestock Contributor regions. As far as I know, stock companies usually give exclusive briefs in case the photographer obtains good results or if they become exclusive, and they provide free workshops. This is the first time that we are being charged for this information, right?
I am still in shock
