#17 and all like this are absolutely perfect, love them and I hope you get through. I'd remove the cat, there's plenty of cat stuff on stocksy already. others that are borderline: the logs, the OH food shot with parsley, the kid with camera, mother with child. (there are logos in some images? that can be sorted out later) it's not always easy to know what will and won't be accepted, good luck!

also a BME thanks to an amazing month at Stocksy, BME. SS and FT solid BMY, iS who knows? I keep removing images to put elsewhere so it probably doesn't count much. the others were fair, nothing special.

In the UK we have a word now added to the Oxford English Dictionary, which seems entirely appropriate for IS and a few others.......
OMNISHAMBLES
Meaning: A situation that has been comprehensively mismanaged, characterized by a string of blunders and miscalculations.
Most famously used to describe the wet mongrel of a budget put out by the Chancellor of the Exchequer in 2012
I too was thinking this has govt employee mentality stamped all over it. There's a whole lot of overlap and double handling, and general "make it up as we go along", and the drones are still getting their paycheck, meanwhile us small business owners at the coalface keep getting screwed.

what i'd like to see noted (by Facebook) is that the images aren't "free" but rather part of their advertising package. The downside of this deal is that it still is training potential customers to think "free" when it comes to images.

I still use Yuri's. I reformatted it a touch for aesthetics but it works fine, except for iS who insist on their own MR.

I'm not sure how much of a change that is http://cqcounter.com/whois/site/bandb-wedding.com.html Though I thought they were subsequently divorced (and "transferred" reverted to "intransfer" again).
they only recently had another baby, that's pretty friendly for a divorced couple. I think both of them have done tremendously well, and Brianna being preggers during launch year can't have been easy. Bravo.

my first thought was that the OP is SS, testing our reactions.

I have sent a ticket pointing that out (my october earnings will now be the lowest of the year) - that's hard to believe.

My mac tells me this file comes from an unlicensed developer and wont open it
Right click the program, choose 'Open', confirm the question -> won't bother you again until next update.
cheers, saved me a google search on fixing that. funny, that hasn't happened before.

that can't be right, my October earnings, with my "overpayment" taken off, put October as pretty much the worst month of the year (excluding jan/feb/march Dday drama). half the earnings of june, july, august, september, november, and lower than ALL the rest. That seems incredibly fishy to me.

if you've got PS then you've got Bridge and ACR, is the same engine as LR, just looks yucky, but will certainly speed up your workflow.
It's probably a good experience to upload to all those other sites, but soon enough you'll delete them. I'm probably a year or so ahead of you and this year I cut back to just my top 5.
I think shooting new stuff for SS is ideal, as they are very strict. iS has become so lax and accepts a lot, and SS has clamped down. As mentioned the different sites have their own "personality" so sometimes you'll shrug off a rejection because that's just the way they are. you could re-edit for them, but I just keep moving forward, so long as the file is on a few sites, i'm ok. sometimes your rejected files become top sellers elsewhere.

a grey card can be used to set a custom wb in your camera for a particular lighting setup. handy if you've got mixed light. at college we also were taught to take a test shot with the grey card in the scene, so later we could adjust wb using the dropper in ACR.
it's also used to set exposure, as many have said. i carried one around for the two years I was at college, but after losing/destroying two of them I bought a cheap one off eBay, only to discover it wasn't quite the same grey and had a slightly green cast, so it wasn't great for WB use. it was also off a little (for exposure) compared to my original one. after that I discovered that my camera bag had a panel on it that gave the same reading as my grey card, so I used that for a while. Also I own 2 pairs of grey pants that are handy exposure checkers, as is the grass.
and yes, the dot on the card will probably make a difference, my cheapo card (was so cool cos it was made of plastic and folded away, also had a reverse white side that was a small reflector) has a series of white circles like a target symbol, ridiculous! (cheap asian junk that we suckers buy)

Passed the $500 mark. I do see quite a few non sub sales. No ELs yet tho.
12 days for 1st 100$ 7 days for 2nd 100$ 14 days for the next 300$
500$ for the first 33 days!
no other agency can beat these numbers...
Probably, but most new contributors wouldn't get anywhere near that.
sure but new is relative, Sean is new at SS but "old" since he started, same applies to all iStock exclusives with nice sales history that eventually decide to leave and venture SS and other, I believe most will/would do well as well, lifestyle is a very good subject despite massive competition, maybe the so much talked SS algorithm is helping Sean too
we can't also forget that Sean is working/uploading pictures from 2007 and not Stocksy content that would for sure sell a ton more
exactly, and there's the other agency that beats SS for earnings.

how clever to imply it's gone on longer but they'll "only" take back October's overpayment. Don't be fooled into thinking that's a win.

Just wondering if any of these websites is you? Your here with full name so I guess your open about this.
I really like the photography on the Second one. If that is you, you should do well on SS.

I suspect she may be the first one, and I'm not sure what to say, as not many of those images look like the work of a seasoned pro photographer. Having your images published (for no money) in newspapers is pretty easy in my experience; their standards aren't high. A lot of magazines also have pretty low standards when it comes to technically good imagery. Stock is the hardest work I've ever shot for, but also the work that pushes your skills the most. post some samples and I'm sure you'll find we will help.

I just double checked to be sure deactivated files aren't there, and I see only 1/5 of my port is on TS, quite a lot of old stuff.

I think in the race to be as crowd pleasing as Canon Nikon has released too many models too quickly.

I had a very solid month, not as good as Nov '13 but a great start to the year and 2nd BME. I made a little bit off my Australia Day lamingtons, actually saw them in the wild 2 times, but otherwise it's just the usual stuff selling. Stocksy was strong again but SS and iS were good. DT and FT were low, which is disappointing as I've been concentrating on them following their surge at the end of '13.

I do include both the US spelling the the proper Uk spelling. Although, SS still insist "colour" isn't a word, and I always remind them it is. Whilst there are a lot of "them" and "us" terms you're pretty safe because "us" non-US people know the US search term and will use that if needed.
