I just wish all stock agencies have people like leaf, someone who listens to contributors.

I agree the lines between the sites are sufficiently blurred that there is no strict 'macro' or 'micro' site anymore. Thanks leaf. Also plz consider adding a separate massage board for GI under Macro, like for Alamy. Enjoy holidays! ![]() 180

kudrt, have you ever noticed that you can filter images in Google search based on usage rights? It's just your imagination that you can use anything without a license just because it appears in Google search.

Can we have a separate message board for GI? It would be great if GI is also included in the earning list which is shown on the right hand side of the website.

General Macrostock / RF and RM in GI« on: September 08, 2015, 20:21 »
When I submit images to GI, I cannot select whether it should goes under RF or RM. However, most of my accepted images are sold under RF, while others are under RM. Do you know on what basis GI categorise images into RF and RM?

I have couple of stupid questions to ask, sorry for that. Here we go...
1. Where should I enter my paypal email address to withdraw my sales money from Fotolia? 2. Does 50 credits mean $50? I'm using their US site. Thanks! 189
Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock sales is sinking deeply...« on: September 04, 2015, 19:01 »I'm still not sure where people get the sentiment that you need to "keep up" with SS. I haven't uploaded much to SS in the last few weeks and nothing has changed except an uptick in downloads. I don't think there is some conspiracy where SS down-rank older images and give favoritism to newly uploaded images.Cannot agree more. 190
Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock sales is sinking deeply...« on: September 04, 2015, 13:28 »So... is uploading 2 images every day better than uploading 14 every week? I have tried that, but couldn't see more sales. I think it's more about what and how many, rather than when, you upload... 191

Adobe Stock / Re: Sales at Fotolia« on: August 24, 2015, 17:18 »Two weeks is way too short a time to be worrying about sales. Different images sell at different rates on various agencies. On average it looks like the action on FT is about 25% of what it is on SS according to the poll on the right. For you, zero sales on 100 images in two weeks is normal. My experience is that images often get DLs faster on SS but FT picks up eventually. For me, I usually earn from 2-7 cents per accepted image per month at FT, which I assume is low. If yours sell at the same rate then no DLs in two weeks with 100 images is about right. Once you have 1000 for a few months you will have a better idea.I'll keep uploading, Thanks. 194
Adobe Stock / Re: Sales at Fotolia« on: August 24, 2015, 10:42 »Since "getting sales" depends on your work, there's no way to answer your question. It isn't like a slot machine where randomly every image gets a sale. Agree, that's why I think this not only a game of numbers. But if you're not getting sales, then it's likely that no one would want to copy them anyways, so you might as well post.I just started with Fotolia 2 weeks ago. And selling images in SS and 123RF for more than 2 years, and I'm doing fine at the moment in those sites (as I think) 195

Thanks for your useful inputs Hongover and Mat.
@Mat, I don't want to show my work due to many reasons... (one of them is, I don't want to get copied) Hope you understand. Thanks again. 196
Adobe Stock / Re: Sales at Fotolia« on: August 24, 2015, 10:06 »Fotolia 43.000.000 images database What a primitive way of thinking... BTW, in case you didn't understand my question properly... sales pattern in different sites are different, SS starts selling right from day one, 123RF takes some time (at least my experience, can be different for another one). I just want to know how Fotolia works. 197

I started submitting to Fotolia 2 weeks ago and I have around 100 files online now. Still I didn't get any sales. Is that normal for Fotolia? Do files take some time before get downloaded?
