DeepMeta is alive - istock is dead - very few sales - probably most sales are this unspectacular $0,0000000001 South Korea sales
Are these Connect? Or ...? I have only a very few South Korea sales (not surprisingly), and they each netted me 25c. Every one of my Connect sales is designated as Region: California and every one of my 'Rev Share Ad Based' sales, which seems to be the extremely few Connect files which have aggregated sales to over a cent is designated as Region: Washington.
Oh i was wrong. All south Korea sales (since last year) are about $0.19. Except one $0.05 and one $0.06 sale.

Hi Everyone. Been at this full time now for a while now (video) and trying to figure out pension ideas? I've been putting a % away into crypto for a couple of years and that is doing OK. Keeping it long term for retirement. I've been toying with the idea of either a private pension or second buy to let home for a future retirement investment too?
I'm also hoping my portfolio will see me right too as I'm hoping it will bring in $$$ even when I stop producing (if I ever do?)
What are other full timers doing in regards to pensions???
In long term nothing works. I guess we will see ab big financial crisis next years, maybe this year. The economy would not recover after another financial crisis, like 2008. So we will see a collapse of the finance system and then an XXXXL economic crisis starting in the next 10 years. It doesn't matter what you have and how much you have, everything will be lost.

Title says it all. I'm genuinely interested in figuring out how can I make $150k/year from stock photos/videos? It's fun to do - now I'd like to figure out how to reach those numbers.
Its quite easy. Upload 3000 images at the big three. Wait a year, to get the RPI / Year. If your RPI ist 1 - you just need to upload 150.000 images. The Lifetime of an image may be 3 Years. So you just have to upload 150.000 images every 3 Years. Quite simple.

If istock is thinking your contend would doing well exclusive they will contact you. It ist quite hard to get an exclusive contract at istock nowadays. I don't know what you are shooting. But shooting lifestyle makes it easier to get an exclusive contract. Good luck.

If there a recession is coming some people will lose their jobs. So they have more time to produce stock images. The number of uploads could increase. If this happens some Russian stock producers will think 5000 images a month won't be enough and will produce 6000 images a month. This could lead to a declining RPI. Stock producers are smart people - so declining RPI needs more images and increase their production. The next recession will be a great time. We will see the most productive stock producers ever, breaking every month a new stock production record.

I guess its not about the "best quality". It depends on "best sale able content". Meaning lifestyle would sell good at signature collection. The typical pets and dogs images are to expensive at signature collection.
No. It's a marketing ploy designed to persuade people to spend more money at iStock in order to get the "best" rather than settling for "second best". They're taking advantage of the fact that image quality is a subjective judgement, so while you and I might think image A is better than image B they can claim that their judging it by different criteria. But the bottom line is that they are telling purchasers that it is better for them to pay for the higher priced image.
Been some time exclusive at istock. My experience was that exclusive for most contributor doesn't make sense if you don't get enough images at Getty Collections. If you don't shoot lifestyle its hard do get enough images accepted at Getty Collections like Veta.

November was a very bad month at istock. November RPI on Shutter is about 5,7 Tims higher than istock November RPI, November RPI on Adobe Stock ist about 5 times higher than istock November RPI.

Signature files are provided by iStock exclusive artists. No more, no less.
OK - Thanks! Seems kinda stupid to filter results according to the contributor agreement and not the content quality - but it is what it is...
It means that should a customer wish, they can look first at files that aren't available elsewhere.
Which might make sense if their website stated it that way. But instead it's shown as 'Lowest price' vs 'Best quality'.
Agreed. This issue came up on their forum a while back (it may have been their old forum, I can't remember), and I said that all I attested was that my images are exclusive to iS, I don't claiming they're better than any others. To my surprise, that didn't spark off any replies.
Of course, 'best quality' is subjective - what's 'best' for a particular project isn't necessarily the one you or I would think was 'best' as a standalone file. And what any two people would think 'best' (for a project or standalone) wouldn't necessarily coincide.
I guess its not about the "best quality". It depends on "best sale able content". Meaning lifestyle would sell good at signature collection. The typical pets and dogs images are to expensive at signature collection.

Adobe contributor site is quite slow. Guess lot of contributors changed uploading from Fotolia to Adobe stock site.

Downloads at AS and Shutter about 20% down compared to oct. But higher RPD. So November income is not so bad.

I guess its more about deleting an image. If the image is deleted it can't be found and some work of an AD may be destroyed.

Sales are good but almost 40% of them are in $0.03-0.15 range, RPD this month is just $0.165.
And now my images there are competing with the same images in AS and SS that provide far far far better RPD.
RPD oct Shutter - 1,02 Istock - 0,99 AS - 0,96 unusually equal RPD in Oct.

Depends where you live, here in Serbia a middle class man has around 300euros If you managed here to somehow pull out about $1000 monthly from stock, you'd be the king of the world all while doing what you love the most.
I guess its the same at Russia, Ukraine, etc,. If you hit $500 a month. You can make a living from shooting full-time stock photos. If you have done the step shooting full-time Stock-photography its possible to produce enough stock photos doing the next step to $ 1000 a month, $1500 a month, etc.

Actually i would not realize if there are some images lost on istock. They get a few hundred images every month, thats it. If they lost some, they are lost. I don't mind. Exclusivity at istock could be good or bad. Its good if lots of customers are willing to pay lots more money for an image. Its bad if they don't. My experience was that i don't shoot enough people images to profit from exclusivity.

I guess its not about the second account. Its about tax fraud. Has your aunt known about her account and properly filled out the tax form? I guess not.
