Sorry - my intent isn't to bash Zym - I had no issue with their site or program or anything. My message was about looking forward to other agencies and seeing what they saying and doing to get ahead overall. No disrespect to Zym but if 300% traffic increases don't help a site get sales enough to stay afloat we have to be cautious with ANY new/flailing site.
Again, no disrespect to Zym - sorry about that - it's about sites that will fail going forward and how we may be able to spot it before we spend hours uploading.

On the other hand, I saw the writing on this wall about a year ago and emailed to close my account. I got an email back that from October 08 to November 08 Zymm had:
- increased pageviews x35% and traffic by x320% in last month alone
Just a little extra info for anyone who is monitoring a certain agency that claims some pretty big increases in the last month and year. I'm not saying .... I'm just saying....

I made more on Veer in December than I've made on Yay in about 15 months.

I put them all at $3500 and would remove from all sites per the rules if I sold one.

Steps taken here: 1) Make decision to close account. 2) Contact Zym to close account. 3) Promptly forget you closed your account. 4) Zym closes account. 5) wait 6 months. 6) try to log in to Zym

I thought I was going to have a BME by a lot - but I think now I'll be right on track. I think SS people coming over slowly - occasionally I get a bigger day than I'm expecting.

We had an action awhile back that ran a "save" and reopened the file - we reopened it 10, 25, 50, 100, 250 times - it doesn't change almost at ALL until 50 resaves. Even at 250 it's barely noticeable. I save at 10.

I use http://www.powweb.com and highly recommend it - I host over 20 sites there with great reliability, ease of use, fantastic features.... and pretty much unlimited space and transfer (as evidenced by 20 sites there!) If you do sign up with powweb and want to use our "referred by" our account is pictureinfinity and we'd definitely appreciate it. I didn't link to the referral link though because I know some people hate referral links (usually for no good reason lol).

I used to visit Talk Micro but realized that the owner basically never went, the content was usually a repeat of what was here and the people were almost all already here...

I answered the poll. The only problem I see with it is that honestly if you're making the lower figures you're not spending your time on micro forums because it's not a HUGE part of your life. If you're here you're more likely to be making money.

I shoot weddings for a living. http://www.pictureinfinitystudios.comI have 5 photographers working for me and 1 partner. The 7 of us shoot an average of 15-25 weddings each at around $3k in Syracuse NY. It's sustainable and decent income. Weddings = summer, portraits and stock = winter.

Ok, so maybe I've just not paid enough attention to the forums for the last 2 months. I just got a payment from Veer - but I haven't received my final payout from Snap yet.
The payment came from VMP so I'm assuming it's my July payout from Veer NOT my final Snap? When do final Snap payments come in? Also, we can't track stats yet but we're making sales on VMP? Pretty cool actually.

We shoot objects tethered - food, small stuff, etc. No way we shoot people tethered but for food and white bkgd objects it's useful. It makes editing later on much much easier! Why not do that?

i dont think the OP should be banned just because i disagree with him. You think I want him banned because I disagree with him? Hilarity. How about I'd like him banned because he adds nothing to the board, attacks members personally and is a troll. None of that adds to the discussion here.

Dude I could care less. Yes that's my image, and yes I probably made 50 cents. This type of stuff comes with the territory. I sell hundreds of images every single day. How much money have you made this year from stock? Hopefully at least enough to restore that hippie van of yours
PEACE LOVE AND HAPPINESS, homeboy.
You tell him pickle-boy! We get it, you hate microstock. And? This argument is 5 years old - did you just figure out that you were supposed to hate us?

I don't get how Yay or Crestock beat FeaturePics. Set the image options once, tick off every non MR shot, push submit, tick off all the same model, find the model in the list, submit. Repeat for all models - one tick per image, find the MR once, submit.

If anyone votes for Istock, Fotolia or Dreamstime they should immediately be banned from the forum as either a) crap stirrers or b) insane.

Nope!!! You will be able to set YOUR OWN PRICE for mid-stock images ($30-$100). But... if you are offering your images for $0.20 somewhere - what is the point to price them more than $15 at FP? I don't offer my images for .20 - think about how Dreamstime works. I sell more and the rates go up. I can have images priced over $10 for a buyer there pretty easily. With FeaturePics I've always had to do my own marketing - so why not get more of the profit when I do much more of the work? The only thing is - that's a more unique business model. I guess we'll see how this plays out now.
