It does on Shutterstock. I have read that more than once on the forums. Other sites.. I don't know!

Very valid points. But to come back to the initial question; I don't think there is a wrong F-stop for microstock. I've had F32 images accepted on IS,SS,StockXpert and DT, made with my cheap ass kit-lens, on-camera sharpening off, and no additional post processive sharpening applied.

I don't. I don't think it's worth the hassle. I just stick with the EPS AI8 on IS,SS,StockXpert and DT.

Hehe that's a weird question! It doesn't matter, as long if your photo is sharp and noiseless. And every image needs another DOF, depends on the subject! What ISO setting is best for microstock would be a better question; so low as possible.

I currently appear at the bottom of the highest rated of the last three months Congrats Susan, it's a great image. the 'follow the herd' mentality is true in MS just as it is anywhere. IMHO
Yes I think that's true!

Hey Sammy, I saw some pictures from the meeting! Looked like a fun time you guys had! I'm not so active anymore on the SS forum! There some contentious folks over there, and I'm trying to spend more time on my work and less on the forums!

Istock's "Most Popular Files" is back in action! Finally. Do you think it will increase sales for those that are in it? Are customers also checking the most popular files?

Oh great I'm being ignored! Pierre, I sure don't hope you read your gauges like you read the forum! Look closely, there is a link! I always dreamed about being a pilot! I did shoot some pictures a few years ago in the cockpit, but that was before 9/11. I don't think they will let me in again if ask now! Being a hopeless amateur at he time, the images where horrible, everything outside overexposed! Oh and I had Microsoft flight simulator! Do you think it is accurate compared with flying for real?

Uh Pierre, you killed the thread! Now who wants to comment on that image? You got so much better stuff! I commented on the "greenland"-pic. You have amazing sky images! Are you a pilot? Here's my port. Just pick any you like!

Based on how many uploads? My stats looked really good the first six months, but unless you can keep uploading large quantities of images every month, you will hit a wall at some point
34! And I didn't upload much the last 6 months! I did hit that wall on Shutterstock already because of my low upload rate! But Istock is doing better and better every month, I don't know why! And Im not exclusive!

Everybody is talking about the search engine!
But how about the images that appear on the frontpage? Or in the lightboxes?

@Freezingpictures: Please don't understand me wrong, you really have excellent work, your penguin images are really amazing (btw I have an penguin vector ) but your image didn't depict positive efforts from the global community for the environment. It shows the harmfull effects which was clearly against the contest rules. I'm not too proud or stubborn to admit when someone else does a better job than me. I've done more contests and never complained. But this contest is a joke. Those judges where either totally uninterested, corrupt or drunk! Did you ever see a contest where so many people where complaining? Anyway, sh*t happens, life goes on. Congratulations to you anyway, its was an honour competing with you! (I'm not angry with you ,but with the judges).
