Shutterstock.com / Re: How does the payout work?« on: January 17, 2014, 18:16 »
Hi guys, that is because I raised my payout $ number last year from the minimum of 75 to a much higher amount, so I hit that past week or so...That's good to know...
so that means, next month I will have a check... 229

How do you request a payout ? Or is this an automatic payout according to the MInimum Payout limit noted in the account information?
Just asking because I can't remember... 230

General Stock Discussion / Re: liability legal protection for artists selling via stock agencies.« on: December 06, 2013, 22:29 »
The type of liability insurance that a photographer needs is probably very different from what a vector artist would need.
Wouldn't you say? 232

If they purchased from the agency, they are under the agency Terms.
I don't understand what you said about copyright. If you are doing original illustrations why would you worry? Maybe you can explain further or give some examples regarding your concerns... 233

General Stock Discussion / Re: What ever happened to Adobe security breach? Has anyone gotten letters?« on: November 04, 2013, 23:36 »
I dont know...
since it happened to some big companies..it makes me wonder sometimes...all the agencies, all the online shopping that goes on... I wonder if there is a really good credit monitoring system that would actually work. I researched a bit on that Lifelock service but I found a lot of negatives.... 237
General Stock Discussion / What ever happened to Adobe security breach? Has anyone gotten letters?« on: November 04, 2013, 16:46 »
Hi guys,
Just wondering whatever happened to Adobe regarding those compromised accounts. I only got the email and nothing else. I asked the support how could I know if my credit card info was compromised...they said they were in the process of sending letters by mail I think this is what I understood... I didn't sign up for the Cloud, just purchased updates through the site, so I don't know. But it has been a while since it all happened. But I'm curious...Wondering if anyone got letters in the mail after the incident. Monica 238

Do you have any images with them? 239
Photoshop Discussion / Re: Attack on Adobe Computer Network« on: October 04, 2013, 13:36 »
w7, that's right...
I also purchased software from another place....The problem is that you have to register if you want to buy an upgrade with adobe. They would mail out the upgrade in a box, but lately they had a download option too. I have not signed up for the cloud...I like owning the soft if I possibly can. worries, worries. 240
Photoshop Discussion / Re: Attack on Adobe Computer Network« on: October 04, 2013, 13:08 »
I haven't received any email from adobe, but I went to change my pass.... They have a security notice on the adobe website.
I purchased boxed software, and upgrades in the past. When I buy online I try not to let any cc numbers on file. Sometimes I wonder if is worth to have an ID protection service like LIfelock...because so many things we do are all online.... 241

Shutterstock.com / How do you deactivate a few old images?« on: July 24, 2013, 11:32 »
Hi,
I would like to do some cleanup on my portfolio, some ugly old images that need to go.... On istock is easier to deactivate by image, but I can't figure out how to do it on Shutterstock. MOnica 243

It seems is mostly vector work, and seamless patterns. 244

Hey guys, thanks for replying...
I like the idea of buyers coming for more.... I have a copy of Photoshop CS3 and Adobe illustrator CS6. I got an email through my personal illustration website, from them. So I think I'll probably join and see how it goes. 246
Off Topic / artofbusinesscards.com, I would like your opinion....« on: May 14, 2013, 16:56 »
Hi guys,
I was wondering if any of you have cards there and what has been your experience. Are sales comparable to microstock or zazzle? I have some artwork on zazzle, and I kinda like the way there's always sales there. 247
General Stock Discussion / Re: Using a stock vector as a logo?« on: March 13, 2013, 17:56 »
If I am not mistaken another agency who mention logos in the license, is clipartof. The license states that buyers can use clipart as a logo so long is not copyrighted or trademarked...
Do you happen to be a contributor there? 248
Adobe Stock / Trouble changing email on Fotolia...I don't understand...« on: March 04, 2013, 21:33 »
HI guys,
I tried to change my email. So I login in the account, and I change the email. I get an email for confirmation that says: " Please confirm the Fotolia account you recently created by clicking this link....". and "...Once confirmed, you will have full access to Fotolia's..." so on and so forth , like they are welcoming a new account... Okay, thats weird they use the words "recently created", and I'm a contributor for a few years, is not like it was yesterday? is that the canned message they use for contributors? Have you ever changed your email there? Another thing that suprises me is that the SS numbers shows in full...I wish they changed that. 249

Illustration - General / Re: Anything that i could improve on my vectors in order to generate more sales?« on: October 19, 2012, 13:30 »
I think your graphics are great. Maybe like others said, images with no text would help.
The problem is volume. You have only 445 illustrations, and if you want to make more money you need to add a lot more than that. I know because I'm in the same boat. Volume and quality. Monica |
