I'm currently running SY 2.5.5 and WP 3.5. I want to upgrade both but not sure which to do first.
Any insight for those that have done this is really appreciated.

I do that just fine as well but it's the choosing categories with how they have that area set up that makes it really easy to accidentally put the wrong things on the wrong images. I've done that on a few occasions accidentally.

And if adding the code to your php.ini file doesn't work contact the tech support of your host to make sure you have that option to use it. My host I'm on doesn't allow it unless I'm on their Virtual Server plan.

Try looking under your word press users area and edit you. There is some author page stuff on there. If it isn't filled out maybe if you do it'll recreate it? Though I'm not 100% sure.

I'm gonna keep an eye on this. Definitely let us know how it works out for you.

When I hover over your author link there's some really random characters that show up where your username should.

I have around 1,000 images with them. The only thing that's really buggy is the way that you have to edit and process your images after upload. That part is a bit of a pain.

Unless that's another WP thing I don't know or does that only happen with the SY theme?

I see now the login / register link leads to this. I never understood why we needed both the Please Log in and Login / Register links HMMM That's always baffled me too if I'm logged in shouldn't the please log in disappear?

I think Steve was talking about your Warm Picture link in your MSG signature. I also thought he was referring to Word Press.

I don't make as much on other sites as I did on SS but that's vastly changing in recent months.
I can only tell you my experiences. I make payout a SS nearly every month, DT 3-6 months, DP & FT 3-4 months, BS 6 months or more. All my ports vary in size with what's been accepted. And all of this is just when I reach the minimum threshold.
Some accept nearly everything that I throw at them others sometimes reject a few or the whole lot. I haven't uploaded anything since late July so I don't know how new images are fairing. I know SS is having bugs with new images appearing and disappearing as well as keywords not showing up and other various things going on.
You're not really going to know for yourself unless you give the ones you're interested in a shot.

I logged in using Yahoo and added an image to the cart and it showed up immediately.
I had the same result with gmail.

I tried the paypal one and got the same error.
And trying to login using twitter showed me this
[Site:cathyslifestockphotos] Could not connect to Twitter
Please verify the Twitter configuration of your Site. If you are the owner of cathyslifestockphotos, you can fix this error here: Setup Twitter Configuration
For debugging purposes I'm on IE10 though I could try with firefox if you'd like.
*edit*
Just so you know I have my IE browser set to block all pop ups if that's causing the problem. The way I get around it is tell it to allow once then it opens in a new page then I right click then open it up in a new tab.

Did anyone figure out a way for it to not red flag that there's no image on this page? I remember reading that it reads alt tags but I don't remember anyone saying if they found a work around or not.

I only think buyers who are logged in can follow you, though I could be wrong.

That's one of the stats I don't really care about. I don't have any followers. I'm sure it was put in place so buyers could bookmark their favorite ports but there's absolutely no way to tell on our end if any of the sales come from buyers who've bookmarked a port.

Are you just looking for food illustrators only or just other illustrators?

I've never heard of multisite before so I will research that. Both my main site and my subdomain are in two separate folders. I might have to create a separate database for it. I can have up to 40 (not that I could ever use that many) databases of which I've used 2 but one is completely empty so I'll probably use that one. I'll check the multisite out before I decide on anything permanent. Thanks

I was thinking about doing that last night. I have a main site where I have all of the other things that I do on it then the SY in a sub domain of that site.
The way I have my main site set up makes it hard for me to do updates to it properly with having to edit a ton of pages just to add new links. I figured WP would make that a lot easier for me.
Are there any disadvantages or issues to having two instances running? I just want to make sure before I tackle it. This will also make my BlogSpot blog redundant but I'll deal with that at a later date.
Thanks.

The OP asked a simple question that's it. English is probably not their first language (if I'm wrong please correct me).

No need to feel stupid. You just didn't know about it that's all.
The sitemaps that Yoast generates will help with the indexing. Webmaster tools will sort them by url in one column on a graph and by images in another column on the same graph. Right now, for me, it's indexing the urls first then will probably go to the images column next.
You will probably have way more urls and images to index than I do and that will take some time to get them all indexed. Right now I have over 3,500 urls of which under 1,500 have been indexed. That's taken a few days to get to that point and I'm sure it'll probably be another week or so before it indexes them all.
I never really understood SEO but I'm getting a crash course in it.

Jean just keep working at it. It takes time for Google to index. Do you use Google Webmaster Tools? I started with it last week then got Yoast started this week to make the sitemaps. It's currently indexing my urls and checking google a few of my images are indexed but not findable when doing an image search unless I get really specific with it.
I haven't gotten a sale yet and I do hope doing all of this will make that become a reality.
