Possibly subs downloads show on that page, I don't think the earnings do, though, for that you have to go to the subs page in the sidebar. Another possibility might be that it was used as a test download by iStock. Or, possiblity, it's a foul-up.
BaldricksTrousers - I think you are correct on the Subs option. I see Subs Royalty as 0$ but I see a '1' against Delayed Royalty for the same image. If this is the case, I am not sure when the royalty would come though. Thanks for helping me see at the right place :-)

I have an image which is less than a month old in IS which has in the image specific page showing 1 download against it (with 1 view). But, I see only 0$ against that image in the Royalties column in the 'my Uploads' page. Has anyone seen something similar happen before ? Is there any other place in IS that I can check ? Thanks in advance.

Its good to know one person took my advice but you will see it works. People need continuity so they buy series, or parts of series.
I hope it will for my sake

SS just accepted all images.
I had a batch of 11 landscape and 6 hors d'ouevre
SS accepted 100%, CanStockPhoto rejected 5 and 2 for similar.
I think SS rejected mine for some technical issues (all 9/9). But in the past I had mostly 100% approvals for a series. I have seen your post in SS forum about the value of image series and how customers can buy from the same series in one go. I will take your advice and keep trying with series in SS :-)

File is too similar to other content that we already have online
When do reviewers start to learn that images might look similar to them but are completely relevant and different to local people, local websites and travel agencies?
11 images submitted of Howth Cliffs, all from different locations along the trail which is a 90 minute walk, 5 rejected for being similar.
FT and DT have a habit of doing this as well, completely disregarding that the images are relevant to others, but fail to understand this very important fact.
Anyone else noticed this?
I also have the idea that CanStockPhoto auto reject similar images (using software) based on keywords as they told me a few weeks back to make sure the keywords differ in each image.
I had a different experience though. CanStock and DT took all 9 of my series. FT took 5/9 and SS only took 2/9 due to what they felt as technical issues. The pictures were that of a marble cake and not landscape.

I have a slightly different experience with Executive Queue (EQ) in iStock. All my raster illustrations have been sent to the EQ where they stand between 3-6 days and generally a greater % (about 70%) have been rejected.
My photographs on the other hand have never been sent to the EQ and I have had only 1 reject (copyright) in the last 6 months.

FT review times based on my experience: - Photos about 2 days - Vectors under an hour - Rasters about 1-2 days

Thanks luissantos84 and Spray and Pray !
You are correct. It seems to be an issue with my Internet service provider ! I used an alternate ISP and I am able to access the site without any issues :-)

Hi all
For some reason, the DT website appears to be down and I am unable to access the website for more than 24 hours now. Is anyone else facing this problem ? I am able to access other sites (SS, FT, IS, 1RF, Pond5 etc)
Thanks

Too good to be true so it most of the times is.
But this doesnt look good. http://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/cz8.programsdeals.net
Very interesting pricing though.
MacAfee seems legit

Thanks Ron ! Interesting that the site gets extreme ratings. I will check around and probably buy only if I have some degree of certainty that my money wont be lost or maybe conclude that I am probably ok to lose that money. But, do you know if Adobe allows their products to be sold by these kind of sites ? I am more concerned about the legal aspect. Thanks !

Hi all I came across this website ( http://6898ob.programsdeals.net/) which claims to be a online reseller for Adobe and other products. The software is cheaper. For example Adobe Illustrator CS5 is $99.95 If anyone have used this site in the past or know about these sites, please let me know if: a. They are a legal source to buy Adobe software b. Are they reliable and provide the software that they claim to sell. If there are better alternatives, please let me know. Thanks in advance !

Thank you again ACS !
I will use Postscript Level 3 in InkScape. I have read that the EPS output of InkScape is EPS8 of AI. When looking around the web for some information, I read people recommending the following before creating the EPS output: 1. Ungrouping all the objects / paths (as apparently ungrouping is a challenge when the EPS file is opened in Illustrator) 2. Converting all objects to paths
In your experience, is it really necessary ? I have created shapes in my vector using objects and grouping them. Ungrouping them may not be to the liking of the designer who may want to make changes to my vector.
I would live them as group, I don't think that would couse a big problem for AI users.
I too recommend to convert all objects to paths.

Thanks again ACS. I will leave the grouping but will convert all objects to paths !

Thanks Beppe Grillo and ACS - I have a followup question. In InkScape, there is an option to save the EPS file as 'PostScript Level 3' or 'PostScript Level 2'. Which one is better ? Also, do either of them correspond to AI 8 or AI 10 ? Thanks !

As said before Inkscape is a free open source software http://inkscape.org and can be a good one for a start. Then, as Adobe has killed his competitors (buying and burying them), you have few alternatives out of Illustrator (a very powerful gas plant)
Please correct me if I am wrong, but will the EPS output of InkScape be good enough for the EPS10 vector submission standards of SS ? Thanks !

Thanks ruxpriencdiam for your response and the link to the thread.
I dont have an example as I wanted to check the feasibility before spending the time on these images.
I will dig deeper into some of these SS threads and get a better understanding. Thanks again !

Hi all -
I am aware that SS requires a Property release for images of private Christmas ornaments (or any art work for that matter).
But, if I use any of my department store procured Christmas ornaments (from Target or Macy's) in my Christmas theme images, is a Property release required ?
If the answer to my above question is a "YES", then if the ornament is shown more as a background on a narrow DOF image, is a Property release still required ?
Thanks !

Just want to be sure as to whether you are interpreting the File size (in Mega Bytes - MB) and File Dimensions (in Mega Pixels - MP) to be the same. What SS needs is atleast 4 MP in File Dimension. File size will vary. Today I submitted a JPEG file that was 1.88 MB only but had 2738 X 1825 = 5 MP.
Sorry if your MB was a typo that should have been MP.

Thanks Carl for your response ! Unfortunately, due to browser settings (I guess) I was not able to see the "old" link when I tried it yesterday.
Today, in the "Pond5: What should we improve?" thread, Zager had mentioned that the "delete" function was fixed. I tried my deletion today and it worked :-) Thanks again !
