It's $50.00 for me.  My February payout amount was $59.66.

I received a payout on the 15th of March, so I got paid!  :)

Now I'm just waiting for my huge payout on the 15th of April!!!  ;D ;D ;D

I e-mailed them a few hours ago, but no reply as yet.

The amount has now been showing in my account for over 12 hours now.  I'm surprised they haven't rectified this by now.

Unfortunately, you can't request a payout from 123RF.

If your sales total is $50.00 or more at the end of the month, they automatically pay the amount on the 15th of the following month.  Consequently, cashing out the funds is not an option.  :(

Seven hours later, the sales and the amount are still showing.  It's time to send them off an e-mail.

The PEL license is 50 credits...... so is a system error (the money sum), contact support. Maybe the PEL (50 credits) sales are real....

4 sales on the same image sounds like a mistake somewhere. Or credit card fraud? If a buyer accidentally purchased the wrong size or license, or they were having issues with their computer and accidentally bought 3 extra times, 123rf might be issuing refunds for some of them.

Exactly as I thought!

If the image attracted three 'PEL' sales, perhaps my commission may be $67.67.  At the moment, they're overpaying me by $300.00. -:)

I thought it had to be wrong, because the sales record on the 'PicNiche' Toolbar is not recognising any sale at all.

I am now sure that the buyer has accidentally purchased the image too many times or, as cclapper stated, it could be a credit card fraud sale.

Oh, well, back to my .36c sales! -:)

I was checking my daily sales for today on 123RF, and I nearly fell off my chair.

My sales for the day show that I've had 4 sales all on the same image......one 'S' sale and 3 'PEL' sales.  The total of the 4 sales is $367.675

This just has to be an accounting error, doesn't it?

Alamy.com / My First Alamy Sale!
« on: February 28, 2012, 22:57 »
I joined Alamy about three or four years ago, however, I failed the entry test, and I didn't try again until a couple of months ago.

My first batch were rejected, however, a few days later, I was accepted.  Since then, I have been gradually adding images, and at the moment, I have 262 images on sale.  I still have around 1800 images to upload and submit.

After reading some of the forum posts on this site, I was not expecting to achieve a sale until I had most of my portfolio on the site, and I then gathered it could take some time to achieve a sale.

However, today, I had my first sale!  What a great surprise!  After commission, I received $69.21 for this image!  I'm totally thrilled!

Mostphotos.com / Surprised!
« on: February 07, 2012, 03:08 »
I uploaded my portfolio to Mostphotos a couple of weeks ago.

I have to admit I am not expecting any great sales from the site.  However, in the past two days I've had two sales...one for 1.50Euro and one for $3.00Euros.

If sales like that keep happening each day, this site will easily out-perform a number of the other sites that I upload to!

I've got my fingers crossed that it's just not a fluke!!! :)

39
Yes, me also!

I'm having a great month!  Two EL's in the last three days, plus a steady stream of Sub and On Demand Sales throughout the month.  If it keeps going this way, it could be my BME!

Newbie Discussion / Re: hello from Australia
« on: January 22, 2012, 04:06 »
Hi I'm Gillian, I'm new to the site and quite new to microstock. I've dabbled a little this past year and have a very modest portfolio, but looking at really concentrating on it this year. I guess I'm still in the honeymoon phase where a single sale gives me a buzz, and a rejection breaks my heart.

Living in Brisbane, Australia, one husband, 3 kids, 2 dogs, 12 chooks. I freelance for the media, trying to write this year in addition to photography. My flavours: Nikon, BMW, Apple, coffee over tea, chardonnay over sav blanc, shiraz over merlot, beef over chicken, beach over country and autumn. :)

Hello, I'm Phil, and I've been a member of this site for a few years, and I've been into microstock for around five years.  My portfolio is relatively small compared to many....around 2000 images, and I now only add around 200 images each year.  Currently, I upload to  19 microstock sites.  I'm no longer in the honeymoon phase, and I'm not happy unless I earn at least $100.00 each week! :)  Rejection?  I guess I suffer from that every day, otherwise I'd be earning $200.00 each day!   :(

I live on the beautiful Southern Highlands of New South Wales....about 90 minutes south of Sydney.  I live with four females.... one wife, two daughters (in their late teens), and a female dog (does anyone feel a tad sorry for me?  :( ).  I operate a busy tour company from a home office.  My flavours: Nikon, BMW (I'd have one if I didn't keep spending 1000s of dollars on driving around Europe each year), coffee over tea, red over white wine, any meat I can sink my teeth into, snow over the beach, cold over hot (the reason we head to Europe in Winter each year), classical music over rock music, a traditional roast dinner over a BBQ, driving over being driven, conservative over radical, and success over failure!

All in all, I'm a little bit unusual but quite normal. :)

123RF / Re: Wow - the 123RF site really is up the creek!
« on: January 17, 2012, 04:20 »
The same is happening to me, also.  According to the site, I have never had a sale.....every month is recording zero sales.  ???

What the heck is wrong with all the sites at the moment?  With missing payments at Veer, Dreamstime going down all the time, the tax problems at Depositphotos, the model release upload problems at Photodune, the frustrating situation on iStock....it's enough to give people high blood pressure!!!  ::) ::) ::)

Veer / Missing Funds
« on: January 17, 2012, 02:53 »
At the end of December I had over $100.00 in my account.

On the 1st of January it disappeared, and went back to zero.

The missing amount is not listed under the 'Pending Payment' heading, however, in the 'Click to Show Payment History', it shows the amount was paid on the 13th of January.  So far, it has not lodged in my PayPal account.

Is this normal? Have others had this happen to them?

I sent the site an e-mail, and I received a standard reply within seconds, stating 'Our office will be closed January 2nd for New Years Holiday. Responses may be delayed a bit longer than usual'  Perhaps someone should notify them that it is now the 17th of January!  :o

New Sites - General / Anthing Happening at Zoonar?
« on: January 09, 2012, 20:28 »
I joined Zoonar during back in April, 2010, when they were paying people to upload onto the site.  I received the payment for the uploaded images, and after that, every few months, I received a payout.

Sales almost came to a stop after January 2010, and between then and November, 2011, I had three sales.  Since October, I have not had a single sale.  Is it just me, or are others having the same experience?

I just applied, was accepted almost instantly and uploaded 250 images via FTP.
First time for me that everything went this fast and smooth, especially the application process.
Hopefully the reviewing is the same.

Hi Drew, good to see you participating in the forum, means a lot.

Sounds like you're doing an ad for the site!

Well, it's now three days, and I haven't had a reply to my e-mail......about the 1000 missing images that I uploaded using FTP.

This site is certainly off to a great start!!!!

Can somebody please point out what to do after  uploading  files with ftp , for people like me .... obviously stupid ?

Thanks

It took me a little time to figure it out.

First, go to your profile page on PhotoDune.  Mine's http://photodune.net/user/disorderly.
Click on the Dashboard tab.  That'll take you to http://photodune.net/author_dashboard.
On the right under Begin Upload, click on the Upload button.
On the right under FTP Uploader, there will be a count of images it sees on the FTP site and a Process button.  Click on it.
When it finishes, you'll see thumbnails of your images.  You can edit them if necessary (it'll get all the data from IPTC if you've included it) and then click on Submit.

If the images don't show, maybe you put them in the wrong place on the FTP server.  Your images need to go in a directory called "photos" inside a directory called "bulk_import".  Put the model release for these images in the "model_releases" directory inside "photos".  As far as I can see, there's no way to know if you put the MRs in the right place.

Hope this helps.

Well, that might work for you, but it doesn't for me!!!

I uploaded 1000 photos two days ago, and I've followed the procedure as stated above, and nothing shows up!   I really think I totally wasted my time and effort in uploading these 1000 images.  This is now the 4th time that my uploaded images have gone missing!  I've never encountered uploading problems on a site before, like I have with this one!

Obviously, it's not only me having the problems.  Perhaps I and others are doing it the wrong way, but in my case, i think I've carefully followed the uploading instructions.

Envato / Re: Photodune, Thoughts?
« on: November 08, 2011, 21:22 »
I was very enthusiastic about joining this site, however, I have found the whole uploading process to be a pain in the ****!

After trying a number of times, I eventually uploaded my 10 samples the way they wanted them to be uploaded, and I got accepted as a contributor.

I then went ahead and uploaded 1000 images using the FTP method, however, after two days, all of these images have disappeared from the site.

I find this to be totally frustrating and a plain waste of time!

I sent an e-mail to the site notifying them that I had uploaded 1000 images, expressing my concern that the images may go 'missing' ....like my 10 sample images had on three occasions, however, two days later I have not had a reply, and in the meantime, the 1000 images have gone 'missing'.

I upload to 15 other sites, and I've never had this problem before.

Either I'm a complete idiot, and I'm not uploading the images correctly, or the site is not like the other 15 sites that I upload to, and it needs to be!!!

All I want to do is get my 2000 images on to the site, and start achieving sales!

Envato / Re: Missing Sample Images
« on: November 04, 2011, 15:29 »
OK, now I'm nearly over trying to upload my 10 sample images to this site.

On two occasions, I uploaded the 10 sample images, and within 24 hours they'd disappeared.

After complaining about it, here, I have received e-mails from Collis, Pete and Brad, trying to sort out the problem.   It was soon ascertained that I had not uploaded the images correctly to the site.....I had not sent them through in a zip folder.....I had uploaded 10 separate images.  Due to the fact that I had never uploaded a zip folder before, I did not know how to do it.  Support sent me a link to a tutorial on how to do it.  I followed the instructions carefully, and I created a 'zip' folder containing the 10 sample images.  It was around 67mb in size.  I uploaded the zip folder to the web-site, and it all worked correctly.  However, I did not receive the 'Congratulations' message at the end of the upload process that each successful uploader is supposed to get.

This morning, I checked to make sure the folder is still in the upload area of the site........it has gone!

I'm about to upload the zip folder again, to give it one more chance.  I have never spent so much time trying to get 10 sample images on to a site!  It had better be worth it!!!

Before closing I must congratulate the team at the site......at least they reply to e-mails within 24 hours, and try to be helpful!

Hi Anglee

Thank you for your reply, and thanks for arranging to have my rejected images re-inspected.

I note that out of the 42 uploaded, 21 were accepted into the Royalty Free section, whilst the balance was transferred by your inspector into the Editorial section.

iStock, which is regarded by many as being the most strictest when it comes to releases, accepted all of these images into the general Royalty Free category earlier today.  This means that out of the 15 sites that I upload to, 123RF were the only ones to reject 21 images into the Royalty Free category and place them into Editorial.

Why is that?
