i guess its hard for microstock photos to crash...the world needs cheap and good photos...though sadly there are people that will not pay even a $1 for a photo.  :-\

i doubt they will raise prices given the economic situation. I would think that if they do, they may end up losing clients who will go for cheaper options and alternatives since there are other service providers around and so many micro stock. In times like these, even consumers would be more selective.

wow. this is news indeed. but i guess it is inevitable from the day he sold istock to Getty. Its a matter of time but i salute him for his foresight and what he created with istock!

yes sounds like a really desperate move. Maybe they are trying to discover new talent and looking at potential places like Flickr..

Thanks Suljo
Yes, I got my CD back but SD card reader not reading. The problem was the CD could not be read by the Macbook.

And yes guess will just have to do that with the iptc. Was hoping something that could add everything and not just some infor.

Thanks for your help and kind advise. I appreciate it!

Be sure to download the application that lets you upload directly to iStock via iPhoto. Let's you do iptc keywords and also assign categories. It's great!

Ok...so u r suggesting that iPhoto is the best option? and then download http://www.bullstorm.se/KeywordManager.php? I dont understand why there is one download and one that needs to pay?

Here are a few.  I forget the one I used to use, but I can't seem to find it anymore.  It didn't work so flawlessly, so you're probably better off.

Maybe try some of these:

Oh ok. what do u use now? Hmm...not sure which one to try. Are there any mac users that can help me on this?

I just saw newspaper today about a store that opened but there are no staff as they all went on holiday. The owner left the store open and an honesty box in the store for people to buy things and give the money. The result, there was no theft and those who bought stuff left the money. I was so gratified when i read the news and i tght wow, that makes me want to believe in human race again!

You know there are always all these "issues" with the agencies....i was wondering...just tossing a random thgt...there are so many different people with varied background doing this stockphoto thing...maybe one day everyone should bend together and set up a "new photo agency" and treat the photographers the way we want to be treated??? ::)

hahahha..... ;D it so funny because i really how bad my photos were and i learnt a lot new photos lingo....sorry i have not been diligent in learning how to solve the "problems" of my photography skills and i don't touch up any photo....unless it is to "erase" a small unwanted object or logo that was found to be offensive for stock. But i learnt a lot and try to take better photos. ;)

is it possible to track in such detail? Won't it take a lot of time and effort? I don't think its worth the effort.

i don't think any of us will ever figure out istock... ???

looks more likely that they just bought the frame somewhere and hang it up. I don't see why they would bother to download a photo, print it and frame it when it plays such a small part in the movie???

oh my gosh....i am really shock to hear that The Miz died.

He can be sarcastic at times but I find him quite humorous and he has his own opinions on certain subjects which may be quite different from the general public, but he was always very helpful and willing to share his expertise. I learnt so much from him and appreciated all that he did for the photographic community. I will definitely miss his "voice".
