Adobe Stock / Re: Witholding taxes on Income with Fotolia« on: February 09, 2010, 08:45 »
taxation is usually done when you reach a certain threshold say $30,000 a year. So I don't understand why they can just tax us like that. Sigh

Can foreigners apply for the account? I am wondering if I should apply for a US$ account one day if i go to US and then transfer the money into that account and use that account rather than convert to my currency since the exchange rate is so bad.

Software - General / What is the best IPTC these days?« on: September 26, 2009, 01:01 »
What is a good free IPTC software? I am currently using Irfanview but it is for non-Mac users. So just wondering what the rest of the people are using if I want to switch, which would be a better one to switch to. Any reasons for using the particular software for your IPTC? Pls tell me the good, the bad and the ugly. Thanks!

I am from Singapore and I use Paypal and I think the charges are high too. It is just slightly better than banking a US$ cheque into the bank. The exchange rate is terrible and I hope to look for another solution too. So if someone has a better way, please help.
(Thanks for telling me that PayPal does not allow US$ to be transfered to a US$ account in a foreign country. I was deliberating on opening a US$ account in Singapore and transffering the money from Paypal to the US$ account. Now that is dashed.) If a foreigner wants to open a US Bank account. Is it easy? Are we allowed? Who knows - if i go to US one of these days, I should try to open one. Which is a good bank? Are there charges? Will we receive interest for putting money in the savings account. 14
