Just so everyone knows - and I'll threadjack later - but I'm going to be doing a Paris/Rome trip early in 2010 and I'd consider working up a group trip if people are up for it. </threadjack>

So Sarah's idea the other day was to do a vet with pet shoot. Somewhere along the line the dog started acting up. You know those moments that are captured in cam but have nothing to do with what actually happens? We got two. I laughed SO HARD when I saw these!!

This is going to sound very non-serious but Youtube. Search Photoshop Tutorial on youtube and you'll get more results than you know what to do with. Watch some and you'll get an idea who is good to follow.

Just to make a correction, the NiltoMil twit is going to be http://www.twitter.com/niltomilthe MattAntonino one is for all-things-me. You'll get sports on there sometimes, business that isn't micro, photography, micro, everything. If you ONLY want micro stuff, follow niltomil not mattantonino

I've used the MR 14EX and it's amazing. http://www.prophotorental.com/product.asp?pID=24I rented it from PPR and highly suggest you do the same before investing. Jared is a great guy and runs a great biz. You'll like it. You will want it after you rent it though.

You mentioned lost images. I submitted five but don't see any of them. I guess I will have to resubmit? Click My Account Click My Images Top right - StockXpert Briefcase. Transfer to gallery. Edit descriptions for all. Now you're good to go.

Remember the mortgage comes due on the 1st of the month. Those who treat the business like a business succeed. I like that... Whenever I have to find motivation I just think about it this way - your success depends on YOU in this business. Work for it and you succeed. Don't work for it and you fail. I can dig that challenge all day, every day.

Thing is we all use BH, OneCall, BuyDig, FM buy&sell, POTN, Calumet, Adorama - rarely do I hear of working pros going to Ritz. The rest of people are buying digicams, batteries & mem cards and never going back. lol

Images priced above US$15 are out of the volume packages. But you can't set "any" file above $15 and they've started rejecting photos? It's a bigger change than just the subs.

I know this is a lament thread but this is going to be one of my BME's on StockXpert. It's mostly subs tho so that sucks.

Who . do they think they're trying to be now?
I had maybe 1 rejection in 2400 uploads. I had two last week and another two the batch before that. I'm hearing rumors that they're starting to "limit" everything. Limiting illustrations to under $10 (don't we set our own prices anymore?!) Limiting fractals, limit this, limit that.
Exactly who bought FeaturePics that we haven't heard about yet because this is crap coming from them.
So we no longer choose what to sell and we no longer choose how much we can sell it for? Nice "changes" coming.

Hmm... methinks perhaps it is time to upload to CanStock?
I remember they went through a major rejection phase when they were acquired. Is it still as rigid?
no

the only thing that speeds up categorizing is knowing each site's categories well. You need to be able to figure out where it goes and what to do with it quickly and for a lot of sites you can also "type" the category like on Dreamstime if you want people>Action you just click the category button then P and it takes you to People> then you're only one click from "Action" Same with People>Children. I think if you click the category then close it, click P like 4 times and it's People>Children ... if that makes sense.
Bigstock is the same way. You can type, tab, type, tab, type, tab, type, tab but only if you know the categories. It's quicker for me to categorize a person playing sports at BigStock by typing P tab W tab IN tab SP then it is to search the menus.

Rahul you might wanna check the monthly stats. IS shows 10$ more than I've really earned (when I select "This month"). Also previous month's stats are incorrect for all the sites. Maybe it is because of the time you do updates.
$10 exactly? Do you do referrals? Lookstat doesn't (didn't?) track referral income last I looked. Huge problem for me since I do a decent number in ref$.
