Hi guys, I rarely log into the account since I only have about 160 illustrations. I lost my login info and I'm having trouble with the site password recovering page. I have been trying and is not working for me.
I don't remember if I changed email, but I tried with a bunch of emails I have, the funny thing is that each time the recovery window says " the login info has been sent to your email".... to all of the emails...
Is there any other password recovery system for contributors? I'm using the generic login window...

Guys, since you are talking Alamy, I have a question...
Does Alamy send out 1099 misc forms at the end of the year to USA contributors? Is Alamy an European agency?
I've always wondered that. Monica

Hi guys, I think I'm going to close some accounts, where I'm not making money and I can not keep up with uploading. If you decide to close the account, how does it work?
I have some "coffee money" in unpaid earnings, I think not even enough to request a payout...f I close, they keep the unpaid earnings correct?
I guess this is how it works in all agencies, correct? If you close the account you don't get to receive the money left in there?

Oh Okay I always stress when I'm waiting for 1099s... I only earned $150 from Dreamstime this year, so I was waiting to get the 1099 in the mail. But thanks for replying if they only send it to the people who makes more than $599 I will not be getting one... I asked, because I have got from different places like a 1099 for very small ammounts, like even $19 bucks, but I guess some places probably send that voluntarily.
Thank you for replying.

Hi guys,
Does DT send 1099s if you made less than $200? Did anyone received the forms already?

Mktang, When I get money from clients through Paypal a fee is deducted from the ammount received. There's no way to avoid this. Paypal is a service, so they charge a fee when you receive money.
When it comes to microstock agencies, most of them seem have some sort of agreement, where they send us money with paypal and we don't get charged a fee.

I'm new on 123rf, and I noticed that there is an option for the API partner sales.
If possible, I'd like to have an idea of who the partners are, and what is displayed on them...our nickname/pseudonym or the contributor's full name?

Hi, a little off topic, but since you guys are in the Partner program...
are your images displayed with your "member name" or real name through the partner agencies???

I can't see the number in the tax center page... My eyes are going baaaad
In any case, there are a few threads about it on their own forums..I'm following there...Quite a few received...I don't know ..it could be something they sent in error, who knows....I have received incorrect 1099 in the past....It happens...
I'm gonna email shutterstock and ask. I get a lot of spam and I never trust emails anyway...I always go straight to the source to verify these things..

Okay and they used you real name in the email...this is bad news. is even more suspicious when you only have peanuts in your account. the phone number in the email is not the same as the number on the shuttestock website. shutterstock website fax number is this http://submit.shutterstock.com/contact.mhtml1-347-402-0710 contact shutterstock!

There is a discussion going on on their forum in the "create products" section about the use of clipart on products. Is amazing how people fail to read or understand licenses....and how some want to use clipart in the wrong ways...It doesn't surprise me. As far as I know ...most microstock sites don't allow POD.

Lots of opinions from people..eheheh
In any case, I'm most interested in these things they mentioned ----usability, navgation, easy of use, speed, comission payout that has not been lowered, larger watermark...it seems they are going to expand to foreign markets? updated payout schedule... and I'm just happy if that helps bring in more sales. I think the cosmetic part can be easily tweaked later

They do respond....
how fast? I guess depends on what is... when I had to update my W9, I contacted them by email , it was fast....and when I got a wrong 1099 I contacted via email and it was fast.

virtual banking account? I doubt. Paypal is getting more strict than you'd think I had problems with Paypal so I actually prefer to get a real check, or a deposit into my bank account..... Sorry - read it wrong - you knew that. Payoneer's page says in small print * Currency conversion applies to local currency transfers - but can't find where they hide what today's exchange rate is.
Yeah with conversion fee you are "screwed" any ways. The currency that are shown is never the currency you get. Will it be payonneer, paypal or you bank that those the conversion, each keeps a few cents for themselves. The only disadvantage payoneer has that I see over paypal is direct transfer to you bank account, where paypal you wait a few days before having it in you bank account, but paypal transaction fees are way less. Also I like the advantage of paypal and it's "Virtual banking account", it's like an invisible swiss bank ;p
If you don't want to get screwed by currency exchange you need to creat a US bank account and withdraw US money (or currency you get paid into).

Talking about partner programs....
What bothered me most is that some "partners" would use my real name instead of my "member name" which is my pseudonym in microstock.
Some of the sites corrected that, but others I have no idea how they put the credit. In any case, I always opt out of partner programs...but sometimes I wonder if I should join istock Partner program.
