I thought giving away images was one of the things we were using the Symbiostock network to get away from?
If you use the wording Royalty Free, you are going to get people landing on your site after searching for free images. If you omit the Royalty free wording it cuts down on the number of hits but people looking for free are just going to look elsewhere anyway

Symbiostock is also descriptive, shortened versions are fine for people who know what they are talking about and probably used only by submitters but customers (that I have spoken to ) use the full names of FT, DT etc and it is customers we want. I did like you $$ shortened version suggestion though

Sorry I mucked up the poll (so you can only answer one) but maybe the discussion on this will be of benefit anyway Thanks for answering picture5469, I know what you mean about video, that makes it more difficult, interesting that you would go totally independent with your site Hi Dogfordstudios - market researcher - now you might come in useful  Everyone is more than welcome to put additional answers and options in their replies - I also welcome the option to add more artistic images - it will be interesting to see if they are popular Alberto, welcome - looking forward to seeing your site when you get time to get it up . I also dropped all agencies except one micro and one macro a few years ago and have just dropped the macro and am moving all my better images to my own site - along with all new images I really want this to succeed so am prepared to take the risk of an exclusive image site even if they are not all new

Following on from Leo's sales Poll I thought I would ask a few questions to see how others minds are working. My thoughts are that the perfect result would be for everyone to go totally independent so that clients had to come to us if they wanted images but I don't think there are enough people that would risk removing their images from everywhere else - or are there ? I meant to add more than one voting option but cannot edit it to add it

http://www.symbioguides.com/knowledgebase/setting-an-image-to-live/There is also an option on the page where you edit the image before publishing where you can have individual images live or not live I suspect one of these is not live as you have prices showing on magnification It is a big jump from 1000 pixel at 10 to 5000 at 20 - you might like to adjust your sizes as well

Hi Niels and Kliim Welcome to Symbostock and you have made a good start. 1 300 is a good baseline for print, the other sites will have rescaled the rather than changing dpi I would have thought 2. I had not noticed this so cannot answer 3. The main files are at wp-content/uploads/symbiostock_rf not wp-content/uploads/symbiostock_rf_content, Don't forget to add Licence details to the EULA page then when your site is ready to open to the public post in this thread http://www.microstockgroup.com/symbiostock-network-building/networking-what-are-you-looking-for-in-a-match/375/so everyone knows you are ready for linking

Hi Tim and welcome to Symbiostock Go to you Privacy Page and Edit, and find "Discussion" and disable comments If Discussion is not visible look at the top right of the page where it will say something like "Howdy Tim" and under this is a a "screen options" with a down arrow - click on this and select "Discussion", then scroll down and if it is closed go to the right of the bar where an arrow will appear that will open it for editing If you are able to edit your post heading it might help others in the future as well

I offered Corry and Pete free images in exchange for a mention, details were passed onto their purchase department, but not heard any thing back since then, maybe other members contacting them will remind them we exist?
