Actually, I was watching on news that group of scientists were arrested because of publishing fake data about global warming. It appeared that a small group of scientists provided us with fake data over a period of 20 years till now. They wanted to exaggerate the global warming problem. It seems that Earth is not so overheated at all. Plus, it happened many times before in the Earth history. No one actually knows it it's gonna start to cool down in next 50 years. Volcanic ashes help this phenomenon too.
It also says that dust from volcanic eruptions puts much much more garbage in the atmosphere than man kind did in it's history.

This really disturbed me today, and I can't shake it off. I know it's coming, but I still hope it won't happen soon. If this happens it will kill most of the life on Earth. Some due to explosion, poisonous gases and ash, and most of it because of dust that will cover our planet for another 6 years after explosion, blocking sunlight and decreasing temperature for about 20 degrees C (68 F).
After seeing this webpage, I went over news about Yellowstone, and I discovered that it's surface rose a lot in last few years, and number of Earhquakes in Yellowstone in January this year was about 10 times bigger than before.
Take a look at the link:

I'm interested too. But I'm, afraid my photos would only degrade the collection

Sounds like it might be an interesting option, but I don't really get the difference between this and having a blog...?

Me neither. Could someone please major differences?

There are plenty of "real" looking ordinary people in microstock.

Problem is they are nearly impossible to find, drowned as they are in a sea of Yuri's and Monkeybusiness's  perfect looking, cookie cutter images.

If the micro sites don't find a way in their search engines to allow the real people type images to see the light of day, they will continue to lose buyers to Flikr and the like.   And adding the keyphrase "real people" isn't helpful because buyers don't know to search for it.

Agree.

I guess every country has more or less of these people who know nothing about the world. But Americans are a good target because America is powerful, and weaker like to laugh at powerful. There is one more video. These guys really did their best to show how stupid people can be.
I would look at this more as a general issue on our planet, rather than just American problem.
School systems really vary from country to country, and I know that our school system learn us A LOT (too much) about other countries, so to me it looks unreal that someone says that Australia is Iran, or North Korea. But that doesn't make us smarter in the end. It's just bunch of data packed in our heads, and obviously this data doesn't help us to get out of the mud.

Just write "Rembrandt van Rijn statue" in the title.

It's a new reviewer. I guess it's nothing else.

Colette, the problem is this is not Rembrandt van Rijn. This is a statue of him. Get it?
The subject of a picture is a statue, not a living man.

I agree with Leaf. I can't think of anything else...

Put this in the title "Statue of Rembrandt"

and put something more in the description. several words at least.

he probably did find a few people that knew the correct answers, but those would have been edited out due to lack of entertainment value.

Sure

I'm asking because kids here learn this stuff in school, not just about Canada of course, but about every country in the world, plus much more about industry, culture, population and other stuff.
Yes, you are right. The group of Asian kids knew most of the answers. I'm also amazed that Australian girl didn't know the answers. It's not some small country like Lichtenstein or Andorra. Canada is a big country and a US neighbor.

Anyway, he could choose the dummiest people on the street. Maybe these examples are not an average persons.

Maybe it's called "Istock Collections", because it has only images that can be found only on Istock...I mean exclusive images.

Now, maybe, it becomes more clear why piracy is so much spread here.

When I click Pandora or LastFM, they are apologizing, because they don't provide their service in my part of the world.

Have you tried spotify?  I love it, here's one of my playlists

« on: August 20, 2010, 14:38 »
I heard once that there is some kind of special case made for aerobatics and demonstration flights at air shows, where under most circumstances they are not eligible for stock unless some kind of release is granted by the performers or airshow authorities.  Presumably that is because the aircraft, parachutes, certain manoeuvres and smoke patterns are very distinctive and recognizable.  Probably that is more of an issue for unique acts like the USN Blue Angels, and less of a problem with an ordinary Pitt biplane doing a loop or something, as long as you delete the ID numbers and maybe alter the custom paint job.

I have got some photos out there of antique aircraft sitting on the ground at airshows, with no people visible and with any writing or distinctive custom markings shopped out.

This was a model of airplane, not a real one. And aerobatics were noting special. It's just a model of an airplane made for aerobatics.
