I don't know what is happening at SS but sales are getting more dire by the month. Last week I had hope because sales went up all week. Today absolutley nothing. As if fallen off a very high cliff.

Yes I always shoot RAW and edit in Lightroom. The RX100 has the same sensor but not the same lens. The Zeis on the RX10 is in another league, or so I hope.

That's strange because I opted for sharpening to be off. I shot jpeg and RAW just to see how the RX10 made jpegs. I opted for vivid though. This image has not been touched in LR, only the RAW version which was submitted.
If I can get near to the Nikon D200 quality I will be happy but perhaps this is going to be my first camera for video and second as stills. The D200 (when sensor has been cleaned) will be my main for quality as it seems more reliable. Shame.

On the image, right click
Export > image sizing
There is a drop down menu with different options
So I type in (12) in the megapixels box. And (240) pixels per inch. I render this smaller size jpeg and compare to normal size and can't see any visible difference. Should I ?

corners are too damaged, you need to crop this image, lens @ 2,8 are not good enough , blur is too noisy, maybe iso 50?, learn lightroom first , buy new camera, dont upload this image, maybe it will 2 or 3 times sold, image should be sold 20x, sorry.....
The lens is supposed to be sharp corner to corner. It was taken 125 iso. Not sure what you mean by "buy a new camera". You will be surprised what random images I have taken sell on SS. Stuff you just wouldn't think which is why I shoot all subjects. I also did a closer shot of the pipe.

I am so frustrated as I have just purchased the excellent Sony RX10 (or so I thought was excellent after all the reviews) so I can get excellent video as well as stills. All shots submitted from this camera have been rejected for just
Focus--Subject is blurry, too soft, or out of focus when viewed at full resolution.
Even though I nailed the focus, got the confirmation beeps. Even in LR they look sharp enough but for some reason this camera does not fit their taste.
Tried posting an image here but when loaded all my text had gone blank.

Don't try to get rid of these yourself, you'll make if worse.
I clean mine any time the lens has been off. It's easy.
Depends on what kind of stuff is on your sensor. There was some sticky stuff on mine once, I suspect could have been some pollen or who knows what, some mold growing?  anyhow, if it works for you, great, but I'd still go for pro cleaning every time.
So I do, at least once a year. My experience is, I have a clean camera after I get back the cam from Nikon Service. Self-Clean can work, but often enough it works not well.
Could you please tell me how much Nikon charge for a clean ?

Send your cam to the next Nikon-Service and you will get back a clean cam. After 8 years there is much more dirt and dust as you can see as spots on the sensor.
That would cost a lot to send to Nikon. What about the Visible Dust cleaning kit as recommended here ? surely that will do it .

I also used a vacuum cleaner a few cm away from it to pull the dust while upside down.

Ok, this Nikon D200 seems to be getting dirtier and softer, not to mention strange blotchy blue skies, flat contrast the more I use it. I have had it for 8 years and hardly changed lenses. I use the 18-70 kit lens and very rarely the 70-300 mm. I have tested the camera with both and marks show exactly the same so it is somewhere in the camera. I have had the camera upside down and blown the sensor with a dust blower which hasn't done a thing.
This is what I get now. There now seems to be a smear to keep the black spot company.

Unfortunately we're not able to accept your submission at this time as we feel the image composition is not quite strong enough.
But still strong enough to sell on other sites. Utterly frustrating !

They tell me to hang in there and upload more images to get the sales. I upload more images and yet I still have 1 sale for the whole of 2014. Dire to say the least !

Sick of. Almost all 100% rejections. I know my images sell well on ss/is and nothing wrong with my technical abilty. I am convinced the reviewers are amateurs.

Same for me. October started well and after the 10th on nearly all sites I have work (audio and images) sales drastically reduced. I absolutely hate Google because it has done this so many times and I am sure they enjoy ruining small business incomes.
