Well, Shutterstock did something. They deleted a thread about spammers on their forums....but left the spam images up. You can spam, but you can't talk about spam.
Wow, I didn't notice that they deleted not just one but two threads named after the spammy titles of some images. Does that mean "green" for everyone to spam?

2- Google loves it, I remember my seo friend once ....
That with googl is not true but it seams to be true in SS. Google warns against loading the image title/description (or website) with repeated or irrelevant keywords (keyword stuffing). "Examples of keyword stuffing include: Repeating the same words or phrases so often that it sounds unnatural, for example: We sell custom cigar humidors. Our custom cigar humidors are handmade. If youre thinking of buying a custom cigar humidor, please contact our custom cigar humidor specialists at [email protected]." https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/66358 Those repeated keywords in SS titles are not even sentences but a simple repetition of keywords. Has anyone ever seen such things on other agencies?

Thank you very much Zsooofija. As this month the 15th was on a Saturday, I hope to get my payment next week. I didn't know about the confirmation email, thanks.

Can anyone please tell me how does payment work at CS? I finally reached payout for the first time in 4 years with a small (500) port. I asked for payout on the 8th this month but nothing yet.
In the FAQ they say: "Our payments are typically sent around the 1st and the 15th of each month." Does that mean that they pay twice a month, on the 1st and on the 15th or between 1-15? Also, atypically, when do they pay?
Thanks.

a. Trust Shutterstock to do something about it b. Play the same game c. Keep moaning about it, because misery loves company d. Concentrate efforts on the sites that can actually give Shutterstock a run for their money
I'm currently a little in the c camp but mainly in d
I'm in the c camp too just because I'm too lazy to be in b camp. Of course it is worth it, do you think that so many contributors are just wasting their time? They do it because others done it before and it proved to be working. Even if we open hundreds of threads like this/day, SS won't give a da*n, so a is out of question.

I have a file called imageforstock.jpg I would like to make this name attributed to a title or description in the IPTC without annoying ctrl + c, ctrl + v. It is a program that allows for group assignment?
Infranview is a small, free program that lets you batch edit IPTC data (title, description, keywords, batch rename....). I'm not sure that's what you are looking for but you could have a look at it.

Any ideas of what to do next?
I suggest you to go shooting next. It's better to focus on your own earning instead of persistently put down somebody else's.
You are right with this, however, in my experience, those who defend these clever cheaters often have something to hide themselves. We should all stick to the rules.
No one is defending the "clever cheaters". They just realize IS could likely not care less, and could even have approved them to do it, since there are many others, and in the end, is a useless pursuit. Send a support email if you're really concerned.
Thanks for the translation, I already got that from sharpshot's comment. I'm not an IS contributor, so no reason to be concerned about. My message was completely different, I spell it out for you: everybody has the right to open whatever topic he/she wants as long as polite, without being brutally "put down", always by the same colleagues. Forums are there to talk, not to bite each others head off.

My info is still there but my sales page is empty since yesterday. It says " You have no sales" while I sold 14 photos and the amount is still visible.. I'm talking about Adobe Stock now.
There is no need to panic, (or create panic for that matter). The site is not yet fully functional. We check our sales on FT but as you said on the other thread, you have no FT account, so you'll have to wait. In my experience nothing ever went missing on FT/Adobe.

Same here. All data was there after sync and now everything is missing except my name.

By each sale I receive an email (check your preferences in Fotolia) and I see sometimes a Fotolia logo and sometimes an Adobe logo on top.
Sorry I have to disagree with this, for me they all come with Adobe logo for a long while now.

I've read somewhere that the keywords do not necessarily reflect the purchased image. The buyer could've clicked through via another image and the search phrase wasn't used for your image.
Yes, you are right but support said that it was the same buyer and they don't charge more from the same buyer. Now, if the buyer already knows what the image is about, he could use more relevant keywords or the image ID. What I mean is, I doubt it was the same buyer.

I have a stupid question: I have images downloaded 4 times with level 0, images downloaded 8 times with level 2. I asked support why doesn't the image level grow on stat page though they are higher on image page. Their answer was that all images were bought by the same buyer. Do you know about this rule?
Now, looking on the stat of a "food on plate" image, I have some doubts about this: - it is a very long period the images were bought - if it was the same buyer wouldn't he be searching by image ID, rather than those nonsense keywords in the red box. A penny for your thoughts.

I always select v3. Already selected one is indicated in red color.
Thanks, now I know what the red means. I have not uploaded for a long time, in fact, I tried but the uploaded files just vanished, couldn't find them anywhere, so I gave up. Now I want to try again.

I still couldn't find out what's their cut but if it's 70% than v1 is not much cheaper than SS pays: v1 (HD) = 65 credits
SS price in Europe for HD: 59 = $66.29 (today) x 30% our cut
If I'm right, v1 is not quite undercutting.
Anyone knows what is their cut?

It is normal that my images still appear in search results ??

Why are you surprised? Didn't you know that this is what they do (and they are not the only ones)? I see 2275 files in your port, you had more didn't you?

Can anyone please explain how to select price tier (v1, v2, v3) upon upload video. Why is v1 in red? Many thanks.

You have to count deactivated + deleted images. Many deleted images are still online. Hostiles..
There are no deleted ones, only deactivated. For contributors it is impossible to delete files.

I'm on the top tier at 123. Usually make around $400/month. This month below $150. Worst Month I've had in years there and happened all of a sudden. Not a gradual decline.
What do you mean by top tier? Level 10 with more than 1,000,000 credits per year?
Level 5 I believe. That was the level where they didn't drop earnings % when they went to the level system. I didn't know they went higher. Anybody know someone higher than 5?
Top level is 10 with 1000k credits/last 12 month, as Zero Talent said. I gasped for air when I read you are level 10, but it motivated me to upload more. Is level 10 even possible? Btw. anybody knows how many credits are videos worth, I couldn't find that info?

So the next step is an app that will auto take photos for me on it's own, auto color correct and remove logos, and auto upload, and auto earn money!!!
That is the one that I'm waiting for, maybe ...for Christmas?!

Hi everybody, My Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian colleagues have planned a protest for New Flexible dumping subscription. Contributors require the ability to disable New Flexible subscription. Otherwise, we will deactivate our portfolios of October 1, 2016. Join us!
Could you please tell me how and where can I deactivate or close my account or even delete a single photo. I don't see the option to do that anywhere. I can deactivate images one by one but cannot delete them. Even if you deactivate them, they keep selling your images on certain partner sites. As far as I know, only they can delete files and accounts or do everything they want with us, even "confiscate" (term used by them Russian style) your earnings. So please, before you start organizing another useless protest, get better informed.

Now they came up with a new reason saying that we "don't see the big picture" which would be: - some exclusives are lying, uploading to other places too; - some contributors are thieves and upload other peoples pictures too;
So, it's not the buyers any more. I don't understand what has this to do with my name. We all had to upload a copy of a valid government issued photo ID at the moment of sign up, didn't we all? So how can't they identify those liars?
