Bigstock.com / Re: Uploading disabled till monday
« on: April 11, 2008, 22:55 »
I upload on my schedule not theirs.

Apparently not in months

377
I'm not sure what a lifetime is. 10 years perhaps. I had images displayed on sites for 6 months
that only earned a dollar or two, and then I canned them.

Is there anyone on this forum in stock long enough that they were scanning prints to digitize them
and then selling them?  How about instead, we say what we expect to earn over a known set period
of time, say 5 years.

I have an image on IS that was uploaded on 09/27/05 that has earned  $265.29. Another on DT
that was uploaded 11/10/2005 and has earned $95.25. As time moves on, the earnings on those
images has dwindled. Newer images are fast moving up the ladder like those two previous images
did when they were new also.

According to my brief nearly 3 year experience in this field, GOOD images move up at a steady pace
for the first1 1/2 to 2 years and then slowly take a down turn briefly right after.

Another interesting question you might ask yourself is:
If I were to leave my porfolio as it is right
now, and never upload another image again, how long would I continue to earn and for how long, what
I am presently earning at this time.

There are only 2 rules in life we are required to follow and obey:

#1 Life ain't fair

#2 You can't change rule #1

You ask why can't the reviewers say something nice before the make the axe come down?

First because they are not required
Second "That's the way you want it" We are all required to live life on life's terms....not ours.

Acceptance might be the key to alot of our problems. If we accept the things we cannot change, we stand a better chance living our lives contented.

« on: April 10, 2008, 12:13 »
Over filtered is the generic term used by reviewers to mean:

"I think you modified this image (I don't know how, and I may be wrong) and I don't like the way it looks"

"Ok, i'll keep up with the thread hijack because i might actually learn something "

OK so let me see if I got this straight maunger. This is all about you now. No consideration
for graficallyminded at all. Seems like sort of a self-centered way to learn.

I understand though.....you got very excited and carried away right? This is understandable
but the courteous thing to do would be acknowledge his inquiry first, and then make a helpful
reply to his question.

graficallyminded,
Those of us that hold tight to our personal values, hygiene, and good looks, would
appreciate your shaving and looking somewhat presentable before we take your inquiries serious.

Thank you

One day, perhaps far off into the future, but still....one day LO will go down....
.....and never come back up. It will be sad day in the stock community.

According to my personal history, all months from Feb to Oct are steady with a down turn from
Nov to Jan. But I have only 3 years experience selling stock.

No I know you didn't say, it but thats what you were thinking. I should know cause I read minds.

You hate me. I know you do. So I will leave you alone from now on. I promise.
I apologize to you because I know my very existence on this Earth makes your skin crawl.

PS "Stick to Flickr" Flickr? You must be assuming I have an account with them then. I don't.
Perhaps then you are suggesting that I should open one? I mean I will if you think it will
do me any good. Let me know what you think.

Did you mean take all the suggestions from him that I can?

He would suggest I get out of Stock altogether then, You think so too?

From Rinderart: "How far can you expect to go???Not far with your attitude,  I'd go back into the prison System If I were you. Your a very hateful person Robert with issues that are very far off the map. I still after 3 years hear it in your words. You hate things and people to much.Get some help my old friend. Where this comes from only you can know. We all saw it 2/3 years ago. Im sorry."

Thank you Rinder. I will heed your words and get help.

In the meantime I will remain all ears to what you have to say.
....and I know you are sorry. (I believe you....honest, really, no kidding I REALLY do.)

I find that if you leave a comment for the reviewer to point out the differences and why you uploaded both, you stand a better chance.

The MIZ

PS - Most of the time they are in a hurry to get on to the next image and don't initially see the differences on their own.

Miz,

so It's always hard to receive rejections, looking at the three links you've provided it's clear judging by the numbers and your time on the sites that a lot of your work has been rejected by iS and StockXpert,

Simply not true

sjlocke I didn't ask for any suggestions from you.  Least of all you.
When you become an expert in this game I play it's time for you to move on.

Until then keep your silly stupid bad ass suggestions, to yourself.
Save them for some unsuspecting soul who thinks your good at this game.

« on: April 01, 2008, 21:55 »
Ah but it was not a loss. You see money the object by which most of you guage your success
is merely a point system in this game I play called stock. Sure I don't mind the money I like it.
However its not the driving force.

Take the monetary value of the cash I earn away and I would still play this game as long as
the money were replaced with a points system. Being happily retired, digital art has now
replaced the hum drum work routine I once slaved over for 35 years with a more willing
and happy work enrivoment at home.

No I don't miss SS and I still make close to $1000 a month even without them. ($965.00 for March.

So I can't play the game on SS's field anymore so what. I still play the game all the same
and have carried it one step further to art galleries during the Summer months.

So can we get back to the original thread now?

Look I ain't getting into any more trouble. My diplomatic skills have worsen in those 2 years
and I still put my foot in my mouth quite often.

I'm trying to improve my relations with all the stock sites but SS, which I HATE with a passion.

I was perhaps thinking that DT might be able to take over the lead in the money making scheme of things, thus the reason for this post.

hehehe No its not a joke, I was banned for bad mouthing the reviewers. First I was banned
from their forum because that's where I bad mouthed them. Then I started my forum where I
REALLY poured on the heat.

Jon visited my forum one day, read what I wrote and finally gave me the boot. No I can't go
back because I stick behind my words, the SS reviewers are lousy reviewers and don't know
their ass from their elbow.
