Sales have drop a lot for me since may 1th. I used to have 10 minimum sales a day and now I have three days with 0 sales ! The end of fotolia maybe ? Anyone experiencing the same drop ?
Yes. Only one footage sale in the last 3 weeks and mainly low value sales. The first 4 months of the year have been good so hopefully it will improve in the second half of May... otherwise with its current form it will result in $200 less than May last year, $190 down from last month and $480 down on March this year. AS is normally way ahead of SS but for the 1st time in 3-4 years, they are comfortably ahead. Could well be the closing of FT. As with DPC, when that closed there was a sizeable reduction in income then as a lot of the people did not transfer to AS. I'm hoping that won't happen here but so far, I'm not see any improvement in sales volume, just low sales value. When schemes/partnerships are closed and client options are reduced by AS, it seems to end up hurting us more as they still have the Software Subscriptions. But, there is still half the month to go... so, things can change.

About a dozen this year so far... no where near as many as you used to get. Prices varied from $15 up to 34most were over $25

Remember this is a test phase
Its like gasoline - they jack up the price, everyone moans, then it comes down a little and everyone thinks its a bargain
I bet Adobe will roll back the price to $15/ month and most people will remain with them
Nope ... everyone must have been very vocal as they've added the 9.99 package back... in addition to the other 19.99 one. This seems to be a better approach. Provide the bigger package (more space etc) for those that need it but keep the original one for those that don't. One size doesn't fit all in this case and thankfully, they realised that.

No downloads at all for weeks......

Same here... started off well but they're obviously not bothered about people making money in the Marketplace. I removed all my footage from them this week and I'll be removing all my images as well... just need one more image sale this month for payout then they'll all go. That's the other thing that boils my P*ss with them. You could have $100 cleared funds on footage and $20 in images and they won't payout the image sales until they pass their own $25 limit. This of course makes it easier for them to hold onto money longer and make a stack of cash from all the interest. Very underhand.

It must be a big holiday everywhere... Adobe and Shutterstock have been very poor of late (just before easter). Mainly small value licences. AS was $300 down on previous month. Hopefully we'll see an upturn soon!
Edit
Actually, just looking at the stats, volume is there it just seems that they've stopped selling anything with a value of more than $.038
i had one sale for 123 dollar the day before easter a saturday and i thought it was a miracle...but then it pays it back with 12 days appalling in ss and a bit better in stock and as...but today i thought things will get to normality afgaina instead just a bunch of 0.28 nothing more...seems tomorrow will be even worst...it seems to me everybody especially where i live ahas liked holiday and work day just to have 2 full weeks of holiday, then everybody complaining there is crisis, no money and then they are alway on holiday...
Haha...when I worked for a company, I used to love public holidays... now I work for myself they're a dam nuisance That's probably why March is always a good month... they know they're taking loads of hols in April/May lol... 😂

Funny how things change as you get older. I used to be a huge fan of hypercars and supercars. Now I really like the idea of an understated sleeper like a Golf R with an APR stage 3 tune. After the warranty is up of course. The Trackhawk looks like a great deal of fun too for straight line pulls.
+1
I still have my 16yr old Fabia VRS... been tinkered with a little. Custom road map, larger turbo, Large FMIC, Miltech Sports Exhaust, Uprated clutch for the 400lb foot torque... rear ARB, big brakes, Coilovers, big air intake and last year... treated it to a fresh coat of paint (all over). It doesn't get driven a lot but it is great fun to drive on twisty /single track roads in Northumberland & Scotland.
Sounds like you've been tinkering more than just a little! 400 lb-ft - have you had it dyno'ed? BHP? Big question, what did you do other than the coilovers up front? How is the hop and understeer? Genuinely curious even though we have not had Skodas here in Canada since 1989.
It was up on a rolling road for stats, 220bhp when it was decated but that has been put back on now to pass the MoT. There's a strut brace + uprated Front ARB. The bushes are all Polyurethane... it's not the most comfortable car to drive, a little on the firm side but it does corner like a go-cart To be honest, I was thinking of taking the strut brace off as I think the new coilovers work better without it.
Most of the control/braking was sorted out before Jabba Sports done the engine tweaks. The next clutch that goes (only had 2 throughout the life of the car) will result in the dual mass flywheel being replaced with a single and a LSD put on. You have to be progressive with the accelerator otherwise wheel spinning is an issue... up to 3rd gear. It's been one off the cars that has been great fun to own and work on. Do most of my own work/repairs. The original clutch lasted 6 months as they held the torque back to 320lb and then lifted it right up when the paddle clutch went it.
A VW Golf R would be another great car to play with without it being two obvious on the road... especially if it's de-badged Edit- Yeah it hops a little round roundabouts but never leaves you feeling it will lose control, just lands planted and pulls away again. I think the car is probably far more capable of speeds into corners than I have balls to test
Thanks for the additional information. Sounds like it's a hoot to drive!
Seriously considering the R now for about six months. Currently daily driving a Wrangler which is pretty much a necessity where I am, but not exactly a fun or spirited vehicle to drive anywhere but off road. Last payment coming up in a couple of months so looking for a second vehicle. The only question is whether to buy an older one and throw some aftermarket money at it right away or hold off and see if the rumors of a 400hp version for 2020 have any merit.
Possibly wait until the new one comes out. As soon as you modify the car, especially increasing bhp, the insurance goes up more than it would if you had a standard car at the same bhp. Of course, if you enjoy working on the car yourself, then it would be worth the extra! For me, this will be the last car I'll have which I'll playground with myself... newer cars are not quite as friendly to work on yourself now.

Would love to be able to see the live dls list that used to be on fotolia. It just makes it easier to get a feel for what's selling and what's not.
+1 But, the biggest PITA at the moment is the constant requirement of re-entering date ranges and data types as the website at random times resets itself. I really hope they sort this out soon.

I prefer real time e-mail about a sale. I have open gmail all the time at home, and I see sale immediately without having to refresh page. Tjis once per day for previous day sucks.
I don't understand why every single MS site, insted of updating for the better, it always gets worse.
Bit disappointed with this as well. Receiving an email telling me what I earned yesterday, which I already know from checking stats before heading to bed, isn't as useful as being told about sales as they happen. I guess it'll be something I'll just switch off as it's a little pointless, which I guess AS would be happy with as its a feature about reducing IT resources rather than being useful to contributors.

love it how matt jumps on every thread with positive news, but when the crap hits the fan the replies become far and between., the 12.5% is worrying though, wonder how they are going to spin that.
Read post #52. I dont think Mat works in the accounting dept., either. Since he is a photographer himself, I am sure when he knows something, he will share it here. Dont shoot the messenger. Complain to Adobe support.
Delivering the "corporate" answer's simply his job. Not his fault for sure, but this doesn't help clarify things, either.
It doesnt even sound like accounting has a grasp on what went wrong, why would you expect Mat to be able to clarify things. At least he checks in. More than I can say for some of the others. Images being stolen massively on SS, not a peep from them.
I don't think anyone is having a go at Mat for this, we know he doesn't work for the accounting side of things. But, as a contributor representative he will be able to contact those that do know and, hopefully, he'll come back to us with what he finds out. This can take a bit of time. Maybe Mat will confirm he is waiting on additional information and will pass it on when he has it.

Look only to the sales between 06.-13.02.2019 (no sale from 15.02. was affected!) ... and there only to the bigger ones (no standard credit sales) ... then click on the picture-ID - and voil: you see the real commission ... that's not really difficult!
It should be a little more obvious, I don't really want to click on several hundreds images just to find the ones affected. Some of the refunds for me were also only $2 or so it wouldn't be a case of just looking at the big sales.

Where do you see these adjustments? In my case, I can still see those high sales (over $300, over $130, etc), both on AS and FT sites....
Go to "credits" on Fotolia, then search for the respective sale. The image ID left besides the high/original amount is click-able and gets you to the sale's details. There you should see what's left.
Thanks for this. Sadly, it still doesn't explain which sales were affected for me. They show an amount that was deducted with a link "Invoice". This link is broken, just displays "Sorry, the page cannot be displayed for the moment". The deductions have also been taken off the 15th Feb, which is outside the 6h-13th time frame and there are no sales on the 15th that the deductions correspond to. This has resulted in my stats showing 30+ sales for a grand total of 1.49. This just looks like they've attempted to correct the initial error with another error. Doesn't inspire confidence in the accounting systems. They shouldn't have taken anything off until they were confident they could correct it properly so contributors could clearly see what licences had been corrected and on the day it occurred. Now I just have stats that are going to look false in my accounting software.

Well, my AS stats now say (for the Fri 15th) 30 sales for 1.49?!?! This makes no sense what so ever. It's like they've just decided on an amount to deduct and taken it off a random day! That will certainly look odd on my accounts... It will look like I'm fiddling the tax man

I feel that I've been quite patient with AS / FT but that is wearing thin. It would seem they have now taken the majority of all my income from Friday the 15th now. This is outside of the 6-13th time frame and without warning or explanation.
I have also sent this concern directly to them... hopefully they'll confirm what they are up to!

Some contributors received higher royalties than they were entitled to due to a technical error. Many of you received an email stating that the issue affected sales on February 12, but the correct time period was February 6 - 13. We have adjusted the royalties of the affected contributors and the current balance of available payout for all contributors is accurate on Adobe Stock and Fotolia. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
We are actively working on addressing the Adobe Stock contributor portal to reflect any negative adjustments in the earnings details.
As soon as we have updated information we will share it with you.
Thanks for getting in touch Mat... appreciated the update!

It would be nice if Mat could chip in and confirm the additional information will be issued so I can update my accounts records. These things can happen, nothings perfect but they should provide details of what they have taken back so we can keep our records straight.

Is ok you are telling me there's some accounting problem and deduct some of the wrong earnings. But at least tell me how much was deducted, and which files.
I only had a small correction but it would have been nice to know the exact amount and which files in the email. Also, plain text with a link instantly screams Phising email to me. It didn't look official and I was ready to write it off.

I have a video that sells regularly on adobe stock/fototlia before it was taken over at 21 today i only got 13 for the same video...does anyone know if the commission has gone down?
No. they've been around for quite a while now. Often they are 720 rather than 1080 or, large package deals. Majority are still 21.

Hi All,
As some of you noticed there is now a direct link on the dashboard page to "view my statistics" that will bypass the contributor of the week landing page you find by clicking the Insights tab. As I understand it, the Insights page was designed to be more than just statistics and it's likely more will be added to that page as time goes on.
I don't know exactly when the site will remember the stat you last checked and leave that as your default however as mentioned previously, this will happen.
Another recent change that has been mentioned in MSG is the contributor position now found near the top of the dashboard page. This was a top request from many of you and was communicated as important information available only at Fotolia. You can use the drop down menu to see where you land in comparison to the entire contributor community for lifetime and weekly earnings.
I recognize the many people asking for views as they were on Fotolia. Just a reminder...those numbers you saw were only for views that happened at the Fotolia site. The data was incomplete and in my opinion not helpful as the majority of activity for some time now has been at Adobe Stock. This is a top-of-mind feature request and is not forgotten. I do not know if/when it will be added to Adobe Stock.
The other top feature request has been the ability to search within your portfolio on the dashboard page. I don't have an update on that either unfortunately. Just wanted to let you know I'm very aware of the need for this feature and am continuing to bring it up on a very regular basis.
I have noted all other feature requests in this thread and many/most are very important. I will most definitely keep you updated as news comes in.
-Mat Hayward
Thanks for the update Mat, much appreciated! Adobe site is also unusable from mobile phones.
With the phone in portrait mode it doesn't show any of the links but if you turn the phone into landscape, all the links become available. This works fine for now but the CSS style sheet needs updating with regards to the responsive design layout for mobile devices. While Landscape works, the page width doesn't adjust to the size of the device and you have to scroll left to right etc. Or... they could put out a contributor app

Hey everyone...check out the top of the Dashboard page in the portal. There was an update today I think you will like.
-Mat
Very nice addition, timeframe refreshes quickly too! Do you know... 1. Whether it's possible for them to add the number of downloads alongside $'s for Top Sellers? It would be useful to know whether the $ was from one download or a dozen etc. 2. Swap "Contributor of the Week" for "My Statistics" as being the landing page when you click on "Insights". Don' really need to be looking at COTW that often compared to MS. 3. Number of views... is this something that is being considered? 4. Rather than exporting one set of statistics at a time, Downloads, $ etc is it possible to be able to create a report file that would combine $, DLs,Views as one csv file? 5. You mentioned in the as they were looking to automatically refresh when swapping from Earnings to Activity and Tope Sellers etc as well as it remembering what dates you had entered etc... is there a timeframe for that happening yet? I've been using AS for submitting work etc for some time now and never had any issues with it... prefer it. I don't use the KW tools though as I managed everything inside C1Pro. Things like csv for footage etc works without issue as well so all in all, most things work well and just a little fine tuning required. Cheers for your effort again Mat Edit. Just spotted a link to "My Statistics" above the graph on the dashboard.... very useful. Don't know if this is new or whether I just didn't spot it before!

It's also annoying that it keeps pushing you to "Contributor of the week" first when you go to insights. It should go straight to the stats as that's what 99% of people want to see first.
