This is one step behind being a wedding photographer. Sorry but it sounds like hell. Would you really give up the freedom of stock photography to go out onto a conveyor belt churning out hotel pictures. One grotty room after the other speaking to bossy managers asking to take it this way and that... OMG stay away people!!!
I'd certainly consider as a part time option ..... but I can see its not for everyone

Honestly, I thought that RF was the DEFAUT of zoonar, and that we could change it to RM later after accepted.
Thats what I do? in manage pictures

I would say three weeks is about right....in the long run although it is irritating it doesn't really matter....the trick is to fire them off and move on otherwise you you will spend time stressing

Yawn.......if you believe you can sell these legally and the likes of shutterstock won't touch them why not do it on your own site ...you'd clean up?

Is the training free? Given the level of equipment and quality of portfolio you are asking what does it consist Of?

Not entirely on topic but I have found Alamy prepared to take on companies - a few times I've had stuff removed only to be reinstated after discussions between Alamy and the Organisation concerned. (Barclays Bank, Network Rail) I think other sites are much more cautious.

There are no good agencies longer, if they ever were good!
Were doomed!!!! Why be so negative I assume you've stopped uploading?

Most sales are through various partners who have their own inspection regimes so it takes time.......

So in conclusion, there is no security to publish flags without an error and responsibility, it seems a very difficult thing, but on the various flags of microstock world one sees many strange ... at this point I have one last question, what is the microstock "less risky" for this type of illustrations? ps: thank you really for your patience and for your help. :-)
Although the Red Cross are insanely protective even stopping local theatre groups using it on costumes

In many ways the opposite may be true although it may be disheartening but you will learn faster from tougher sites....unfortunately though I'm not sure any of the sites are consistent in their feedback to be as helpful as they once were

Another thought - sorry, it is very negative-
As the growing economies of countries like China and India continue, they will have a potentially MASSIVE growth in the middle income class. As these people income grows, they will be able to buy products sich as dslr's and join in on microstock too, further contributing to these bast image libraries. And for them, earning $50-75 / month is a nice etra income, whereas that is peanuts to those in first world countries.
But there will also be growth of businesses etc wanting images and their income will grow making $75 less attractive.

I only ever upload small batches of photos but find sometimes it rejects (cant upload) some for no apparent reason.....I just reupload them once it took three attempts for one image

Dreamstime is probably the fairest inspection at the moment even if you don't like the similars policy you know where you stand......unfortunately not great for sales shame cos I quite like their site

I don't know why you even bother with this spammers...let them spam nobody will ever buy those crappy photos. The problem isn't the one who uploads, but is the one who review it and approved the photos that guy should be fired asap.
Does anyone know if there is any advantage in the search algorithms in terms of sheer weight of numbers? I just cant see a reason why people produce similars in such epic numbers it must be brain frying! The review process at SS seems to have problems...as far as I know there is not rejection reason for similars or LCV

Think decs figures will make interesting reading....they still seem to be increasing revenue by 20% per annum. It may be they are struggling to maintain this. The stock market is a roller coaster at the moment and they were always overpriced. So may be cause for concern but not doomed just yet (plus they are sitting on a HUGE pile of $$$$$$)

OK, I'm too stupid to understand the connection between royalty cut and increased downloads.
In the past, Shutterstock has paid out a flat $28. Now they pay out a percentage. As a result, they now have no problems offering ELs to customers at much lower prices than before. It wouldn't have paid off for them selling ELs for $60 when they had to pay $28 in royalties, now they only have to pay $12-$18.
So obviously their hope is that with discounts they can get more of the buyers (back) that are using images to print post cards or calendars for resale who haven't been willing to pay $80-$100 per image for some time and get those image cheaper elsewhere.
It was my understanding that the price for an EL to the buyer wasnt changing, only contributors were getting the shaft (again). Did i misunderstand?
Thats the trouble with corporate goobledegook I don't understand either but reduced cost to customers is implied

Can't help thinking ELs were getting scarce for SS so they had to do something....I can't work out exactly what they have done though ;-). Are they cheaper for buyers?

"only thing i know is... whoever is still making money with ss, and is seeing an uptick in earnings ... why would they come in here to tell you their way??? obviously the ones who are not talking, are the ones not whining and the ones still making $$$$$$"
I was mainly talking about this I don't think anyone has some great secret about SEO or anything else you can look at your own stats and portfolio and see what sells and is profitable for you and do more of that. No one is forcing you to do this and if you think your pictures are worth more of course you should pull them and make the money elsewhere.

The period is much too short to make a prediction. But I'm curious to see how the development will continue until the end of the year!
You are so right
