Also started in 2006. My income continues to rise. Not going anywhere while that lasts.

Today PA Media Group, the UK-based news and information business, has announced the acquisition of Alamy.

"Please be assured that its business as usual at Alamy"

I've never heard that one before.

Personally, I can't use "commonly sold" and "Istock" in the same sentence.  8)

Adobe Stock / Re: Loop between login page and dashboard?
« on: December 05, 2019, 19:21 »
Haven't been asked to change my password; just the Adobe Stock page stuck in an endless loop.

I don't mind requiring periodic password changes as part of a planned and communicated security program, but this is just sloppy programming. How are the thousands of users that don't visit this forum supposed to know how to stop or fix the looping program? I had no problem signing into stock.adobe.com with the same credentials.

« on: November 07, 2019, 15:31 »
Making my semi-annual trek here to get reminded how to fond my Portfolio on Getty. I'll give you a clue. It's not under the tab that say's My Content. And nowhwere to be found is the link like on every other site called something handy like, My Portfolio.

Can anyone remind me the secret door and handshake to see my images on Getty?

Hi Everyone,

In addition to the Creative Cloud bonus program announced earlier today, I have more good news to share. We have started accepting Illustrative Editorial submissions from individual contributors. As we are just getting started, we have limited this access to contributors ranked at Emerald or above (25,000 downloads or more). We will expand this access in the future. For now, if you are not ranked at Emerald or above though you feel you have a strong Illustrative Editorial collection already established you may write to us for consideration via the contact us link at the bottom of the contributor portal. Be sure to include a link to your existing work.

To understand what Illustrative Editorial is and to learn about our guidelines, please review the information here: https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/illustrative-editorial-content.html

I'm looking forward to seeing what you submit!

Matt, did they quit tracking rank at the cutover from Fotolia? I have over 32K downloads, but my rank is Gold.

My May in Adobe was very good. June was worst month in a year. July on track to be worst month since 2015.

When I do get them, it is long after I already know the status. They've been useless since they changed the format

Works for me. Same version

61
Still doing it for me every startup. Still saying no

62
I used spreadsheets early days and was going back to one for the types of images I use a lot, but it's still time-consuming to find, copy and paste. That's why I was hoping for something like Xpiks. I copied and pasted each of those saved set into a preset. Now, if I am keywording an image where I don't have a set, I do a normal search from within the program and it puts the keywords into the image. If I am working on, say, mountains, I click on a list and click on Mountains and all of those keywords pop in. Best of both worlds IMO

63
I'm sure a lot of good work went into creation of this site, but I have no idea what I would do with the information.

If only I was 1425 instead of 1427.

Probably just an easier version of their CPS certification in the past, which was solely based on how much gear you bought.

Yes, the tool combined with presets is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.

Too bad it doesn't do raw files, but I'll work around that. Usually, I keyword before processing, but can just as easily do it the other way around.

It really goes well with my workflow, I never keyword raws in Lightroom, for me they are just a middle step to getting to final jpegs and eventually raws all get deleted once I've pulled all I wanted and I'm happy nowith jpegs. So with stock ready jpegs I go into Xpiks, work on metadata and save.

Yeah, there was no particular reason for doing it in the order I did, and actually, this makes more sense. In theory, Once I'm ready to process, I should have weeded out anything not worthy. But sometimes, once I get into the processing, I decide an image isn't worth the effort, so no point adding keywords and captions

66
Yeah, I'm in touch with the developer on another forum. I looked at it some time back and used up my trial period. Even if I stick with Xpiks and Lightroom, I probaby need an external DAM, such as iMatch. I tried Photo Mechanic and it's too clunky. The latest update didn't fix that.

67
I haven't tried the online version yet. What are the advantages vs the standalone?

Looks interesting. I use Stocksubmitter for uploading, but for keywording, it takes out the copy and paste step. Thanks

70
Not asking about keyword tools. I use the MSG one and SS. But how do you enter and store the keywords. I've used Lightroom for many years, but I don't have a good system for retrieving and entering repetitive data. I keep going back to the tools and searching once again for the same stuff. My LR keyword library is a mess after 10 years. I've used a spreadsheet in the past, but with tens of thousands of images, not sure that is practical.

How does everyone here get it done?

71
Do you want to upgrade now? No. It's one click.

72
Actually, I found it easier to just say no. It works fine.

73
I needed to take a 12mp shot from a point and shoot, which needed further cropping and turn it into a 30x30 inch print. I used a trial of Gigapixel as part of that workflow. The results were fantastic, but I did a lot of work on that image and I can't say how much affect the software had on the final image.

74
Stocksubmitter handles this type of thing. It's an option in the account section

Hopefully, it's a mistake. I haven't been paid later than the 7th in a year

Edit: Just got paid today, got me a pocket full of change.
