Mine was an old one but then I did an updated release and made sure everything was neat and legible and filled out to perfection, they accepted it on an image uploaded on Saturday and rejected it yesterday on another image! So apparently model releases are hit and miss ... They are good one day of the week, then not good (then probably good again).
Interesting. I was speculating that maybe they were not accepting older (whatever that my mean) releases. I guess it's not so simple.

I haven't had that happen but they are saying all of a sudden a model release is "invalid" which is frustrating.
It happened to me several times.
Out of curiosity, are the model release rejections from older shoots?

Yes, and of course they won't tell you what is "invalid" about it so you can't address or contest the issue.

I have seen both on different files: claiming a model release isn't there when I know I uploaded one, and that a model release is invalid....what is going on there ?!?!?

I have had a number of submissions where I know I attached a model release and SS is claiming I did not....have other's seen that?

SS has become by far the most frustrating agency to contribute to....unfounded rejections galore.

Thanks so much!! In a time when most sites are giving relatively less and less to contributors year over year, this is very much appreciated!!

Just happened to notice on adobestock that there are a bunch of videos where the artist is "XYZ/Pond5" where XYZ can be many different names. Is this some agreement between Adobe and POND5?

I think we should start a petition for Adobe to start accepting editorial material. Now I think would be a great time for the that to happen. If a number of us express interest in supplying them with that type of material we might be able to get them to consider it more seriously.
Any thoughts?
I'm surprised they haven't already. Editorials present relatively minimal regulatory risks to agencies vs commercial.
They now accept illustrative editorial which is a good start.
I have to wonder if they don't accept editorial from "regular contributors" because of deals they have with editorial suppliers

Royalties dropped significantly more than downloads year over year.

There is nothing to be gain by uploading new work to Shutterstock, for me at least. It's as if your work is hidden from customers after approval. Now who does the approval? hmm
Adobe is better but the very low volume in sales doesn't make them much better.
I think the bigger problem is not visibility, but the ridiculously small amounts of money paid per download.

^ It is that type of rejection that sure sounds like it is a machine interpretation. I'm guessing the reviewers have tools to give them "hints" on why an image may or may not be rejected. I am guessing some reviewers take the "hints" as the final ruling to keep their review rate as high as possible.

Anyone know how to set up an email campaign on Fine Art America (premium members). They talk about it on the site, but it is not clear how to set up and email campaign?
Were you looking at this page?
https://fineartamerica.com/tour/create-email-campaigns
Yes, but when you click through the links, all it does is take you to a page to sign up FAA membership, even though I was already logged in. I sent two help requests to FAA about this a number of days ago, but so far no response. I am beginning to think they don't offer that anymore and haven't updated the site to reflect that.

Actually, could be a good thing if contributors are uploading less. The agencies may change their tune if they see that the quantity and quality of new images is decreasing...they know that will ultimately affect their (the agencies) bottom line and they may feel they can't keep giving contributors less and less.

Seems like iStock doesn't have built in specific non-use provisions.

Which of the other major sites have similar opt outs...does Adobe?
So no other sites have sensitive use opt-outs?

Maybe SS could do better by charging its' customer's a bit more for strong selling images.....and pay equivalently more to the contributors of said images. To this day, I can't understand why no micro-agency doesn't use the concept of charging more for images that demonstrate strong sales....most products in high demand can sell at a higher price point. I'm not talking about special collections, but any image which has proven to be in demand by strong sales.

Shouldn't have a problem with noise as long as you are not pushing it in post....especially for the lower ISOs

Well that's a catch all reason, doesn't mean all of them apply... and if you're shooting on an A7 III, outputting at 100Mbps, and you're not using extreme colour correction/grading... then the most likely culprit will be noise. Are these low light shots or shots with a lot of dark colours? You might need to add some kind of noise reduction... Premiere and After Effects have them but they're not all that good (make the image looks super soft), but you can get third party plugins that work well. Neat Video and Denoiser III.
Some are night shots, others are daylight shots. How do you denoise in premiere with no plugins? Maybe that will cure this problem

What ISO are you typically shooting at?
