Well, A: you can read the release to see what YOU are telling the model will not happen with the content. That is not an agreement with SS or any other agency though. That is between you two. B: buyers can still use the content incorrectly
So, even if your release aligns with the content license, buyers can still use the content improperly and the model could be upset. From experience.

Response to my wth inquiry.
The only numbers I can get to you are the 50-50 revenue share, because given that we haven't launched yet I don't know the total pool of revenue that we'll be working with. Apologies.
In regards to opting out, yet this is correct, the images will no longer be available in our library.
So, yes, opting out is closing your account.

A: if it is limited to 250, why lie about that? B: Nothing about opting out would mean effectively disabling the portfolio. This is not at all what the rest of us got. Which I assume is misleading wording about how you can never remove all your work because it will still remain in buyers projects. But it wont now be searchable.

Here's what I got back: "To answer your question about royalties, revenue will be calculated based on the subscriber share model, which means that we distribute 50% of revenue to contributors shared based on the number of sales made by each photographer. In regards to opting out, you just have to give me the word and I'll take your name off the list. That said, opting out of the subscription unfortunately automatically means your images won't appear anywhere in Canva Can I suggest that you give it a month or so and see if you're happy with it, and you may opt out at any stage thereafter?"

This site has been on autopilot (and pretty much dead) for years
And that is pretty much confirmed when they say its minimal expense to run it.
I thought they went out of business a LONG time ago. I was surprised to even see this post.
Right? I thought it had been 3-4 years dead at least.

How can they send this out and not give details on what the royalty is?

That's plenty. No need to waste time past that.

The model release is an agreement between you and the model. The member/content agreement is between you and SS.

Everything is bad. AS is half what it was last month, Canva, 10% of highs, Pond, one sale so far.

Sure. You can post it anywhere. It's just a creative image.

Are you setting the "HD" clips to between $60-80? Or is that the 4K version?
3 year old thread alert.

"call me crazy but I'm not trying to eat your lunch"
Well, look, let's be upfront here. You are. You're trying to gain market by undercutting others. It is what it is, and we're all competitors, and striking out on your own takes a whole lot of work, but still, you only win by taking share from others, and doing that at the cost of lowering the standard... well....

Crash!
At 3/5s of the month gone, I'm sitting at 10% of last year's April total.

We are sorry you feel that way!!
I doubt you are. You know where you posted right? This is a community of creators who value their work and who arent going to be too favorable towards unlimited downloads for $29 a month trying to undercut them..

Ducks in the pond series shot in 8k with RED Helium camera has done really well for me. Please don't imitate.

It's interesting how triggered some people get over asking that a given thread not be derailed from it's intended discussion by regurgitated junk. So weird that a dude with a port like yours and due respect is arguing with an anonymous person on a forum about it. Strange times indeed.
I'm neither "triggered" nor "arguing", although I'd say being anonymous adds even less weight to whatever you're trying to do, so I wouldn't point that out.

Hmm not sure, only the date signed by photographer and model/witness is different by a month, but that shouldn't matter either as long as the date for witness and model is the same. You can always try to resubmit, it could be a drunk reviewer
SS wants them all the same. You can try and explain the witness is witnessing the model, but they dont care.

Maybe you should start a discussion on a private site where you can control the flow to your liking.

This thread will die BECAUSE of you and the other fatalists that have no vision and are scared to death of angering the stock companies.
Oh, the drama!
Sorry, I didnt realize we elected you to moderate. This is a discussions board and everyone is free to contribute to the discussion as they like. If youre going to actually DO something, then go right ahead. Nobody is stopping you.

Don't worry. You'll make it up in volume.

Since trying exclusive with Pond5 I am uploading my images as exclusive there as well now. I spoke to them on the phone about doing the same for photo and promoting it and they were interested. Not a bad option.
Ye gads, why? You'd never sell a photo again.

You always wonder if 10,000 words of terms would stand up in court.
