My 14+ videos are still missing. Not uploading until this is fixed because each time I'd upload and new vids published fine, the count would drop back down again in a matter of days and not from the newly published content so I don't know which ones were removed.

Another 6 videos just vanished in the past hour or so. What is going on? Can't be merely a tech glitch at this point. No more uploads.

I received an email from Pond5 inviting me to create an exclusive account. I've never considered doing this but am now, at least with a portion of new clips.
With the latest antics on Shutterstock losing content (which I just counted my portfolio and have at least 7 videos vanished) Adobe Stock seldom sell videos and IStock has low commissions, I think Pond5 exclusive is worth a go.

I'm not Pond5 exclusive but glad to say I'm having my BME with the platform this month. Hopefully my recent video uploads are going to support my port with sustained increased sales.

Three further video numbers / counts vanished today. Beginning to think if this is indeed a "technical bug' or some other database downsizing.

I hope your sold image was pristine quality for the generous privilege of 0 cents gifted you by this agency.

Okay month though only one extra download this month compared to last month. Where RPD was $1.21 in January it was $1.26 in February. Overall the little graph attached shows it is on the up from previous years.

I sent another note today because I have more to upload, and here is the response:
"We currently don't have a timescale for how long this will take to fix, but your content will be published as soon as possible.
However, this appears to be affecting images approved between 10-40th, so there is no reason to stop uploading. However, as with any fault, I can't guarantee that it won't affect later submissions, but most people are suggesting that these are displaying OK."
I did not understand what "images approved between 10-40th" meant, so I asked for clarification and am still waiting.
I suppose it was meant to be "10-14th", but I can tell you that it is still affecting images apporved as of today. Nothing showes up. Single images approve during the past week will randomly start showing up, but not in order they were approved. Even within the same batch approved at the same time one image can show up, but not the others. Images approved yesterday or today still don't show up.
Same experience here, Firn. The images trickle in one at a time completely irregularly regardless of the upload date.
Same with videos with random movements. The count went up by two and then dropped by one, with no new videos approved during this time. There remains at least five videos not accounted for.

Well wish they would fix something. Since I noticed this problem start on Tuesday (Thursday now in my part of the world), I've had six videos accepted, three of them appear on the port, yet the video count is still down by one before I even had any of these videos pass. This translates to a count of four videos missing, so far.

No sorry, this is not possible. You'll have to transfer the money to me.

Just had my video count drop by two suggesting two videos were removed from my port.
ETA: One of the counts has returned.

Just seen my pending and reviewed images and videos on SStock have disappeared? Probably a system glitch. Has this happened to anyone else?
ETA 1: They just reappeared - minus an uploaded video.
ETA 2: The uploaded video has just reappeared. Yay! \O/
Okay back to regular programming.

RPD video + images = $1.20.
While not a great month, still much better than January 2021. This agency is my fastest growing with a backlog of content I've been able to upload. February is looking very active (interactions + views) so interesting to see how this turns out next month.

Didn't this chap make $$$ millions back in the heyday of microstock? I would of figured he'd moved on to bigger and better investments than microstock long time now.

People always come up to me and tell me: "Pacesetter, it is just not possible to make up to 10 cents a day in the Microstock industry."
Hogwash!
These same people also say things like: Once upon a time it was possible to make up to 10 cents a day in the Microstock industry, but that was before I started and things have gotten really bad now.
They listen to all the doomers and gloomers who run around telling everybody the sky is falling and it is no longer possible to make up to 10 cents a day in the Microstock industry.
They even do everything on the cheap, like buy a second-hand DSLR camera and lens off eBay or Amazon instead of investing in some quality gear like a new Pentax 645D 40MP Digital SLR for stills or new Sony PXW-FX9K XDCAM 6K for video, and then wonder why they dont make up to 10 cents a day in the Microstock industry!
If you really want to make up to 10 cents a day in the Microstock industry, it takes a lot of discipline, practise, hard work and persistence. Quality gear will only take you so far.
But if youre really serious about making up to 10 cents a day in the Microstock industry then you have to get yourself the 14 Dirty Little Secrets to Making up to 10 Cents a Day in the Microstock Industry that Pro Contributors Wish You Didnt Know!
For your exclusive copy of the 14 Dirty Little Secrets to Making up to 10 Cents a Day in the Microstock Industry that Pro Contributors Wish You Didnt Know! rush me your cash, cheque or money order for just $149 today!

Sorry to hear that.
I remember when you joined the Sstock forum and you were enjoying what you were doing and your success.
I hope sales pick up for you to help with the demoralization.
Many thanks DO. Yes I could not of envisaged that some work and energy would be met with such unproductive return. I'm hopeful it will pick up again. I'm also seeing that Shutterstock haven't reviewed a couple of my footage uploads in over two to three days. I know they state five days but this too is very unusual from my experience with uploading.

Shitterstock is a pile of beans this month but I'm sure Stan Pavlosky is doing alright
To put some context on shitterstock
Jan 18 ~ $318 sales 287 rpd 1.11 Jan 19 ~ $212 sales 287 rpd 0.73 Jan 20 ~ $125 sales 225 rpd 0.56 Jan 21 ~ $100 sales 218 rpd 0.45 Jan 22 ~ $50 sales 157 rpd 0.32 (up to Jan 28)

For a few moments there, I thought you were talking your daily rates for January 2022, not your January totals since 2018 (had to read an older post for context). Was thinking, what's wrong with this guy, he earns hundreds of dollars a day on a bad month ha ha.

As for shutterstock, I'm just too slow for the algorithm. Even if I uploaded at my previous pace, I would still have significant losses there. Maybe not quite as high as at the moment.
I have uploaded far more content (mainly videos with an increase of over 25% or more depending on the agency which translates to over 100+ videos per port) in such a short period (two months) since my beginnings in February 2019. Despite this work, my results on Shutterstock for 2022 are the worst January in the three years since I've been contributing. The worst earnings of any month since February 2021. Earnings for January 2022 on Shutterstock compared to January 2021 is just 38% and for January 2020 just 36% (when I had way smaller ports and a tiny number of videos). It's almost like uploading has damaged sales, not helped them at all. Pretty much could be said for the others too (P5 and AS). Istock looks to be improving but that's only because I started late and had a very small port so it has grown a lot with the recent uploads. Overall feeling very disappointed seeing much worse results with more work.

and it will take around half a year til you the get your 28 Cents....
I'll never get the 28 cents anyway because my sales are only $51 and my resulting earnings (about $16) are below the payout limit.
But that doesn't bother me at all. Alamy doesn't seem to be doing well - so I'm happy to give them this small donation. It seems to be needed.
I hope that all agencies that think and act like this - because Alamy is not alone - are aware that they are digging their own grave. This pricing policy won't work for long. Not for us. But not for the agencies either. That much is certain!
Wilm, if you close your account with Alamy, they will pay it as they did mine which was around $3. I don't know how long it will take though as mine was sitting there for a while so had probably made it through the accounting process which takes some weeks or months.

This was my third best month for 2021 and while not a great headline figure, it is pretty good considering I have a very small port - and earnings were 11x higher in December 2021 than December 2020. Given I seen the update on December downloads last week, inspired me to upload some of my recent and previous content to iStock/Getty over the weekend and earlier this week so hopefully will improve much more in 2022.
