Selling Stock Direct / Re: Your Stock Site: Link Exchange
« on: March 09, 2014, 13:21 »
Edit, no more actual.

602
@ stockphotoeurope,
"In reference to watermarks on Prime, we currently only show a small version of the photo as a preview on the system, so there are no watermarks on them. I will pass that feedback to our team to consider though."

@ Ron,
"If you already have an account, then you should be fine. We are currently selecting photos by going through the 500px database so if any of yours are selected, we will email you with further instructions."

-  for my images, there's only a "Buy print" button, not a "Download" button, despite enabling both options!
is the download option only for "Prime" or "Editor's choice"?

Get to: profil --> Seetings --> Store --> Settings

There you should see:

Default sale options

V Downloads
V Prints

Save changes

Did you do this and it doesn't work? Can you put link here?

603
And here as well...
Did you email them? Got any respond about delay? I'm enough of sending emails over and over again... (not only DP) ::)

604
Hobostocker, will you be so nice and tell why don't you use edit option to your posts? It would be much easier to read this forum...
Thank you.
Sorry for OT.

... I just wish there was as much energy put into Symbiostock as there is in complaining about certain other agencies
Great point!

605
... Couldn't find the contributor section of the prime site though. I guess it's only for the buyers and the contributions still happen at the 500px store?

Yes, now it's only for buyers.

And the 175 dollars for an extended license seems fine to me.

"You will get $2 from every digital download, and 75% of what is left over after NewEra includes their cost, shipping, and materials from the sale. On average, photographer can expect a payout of $60 per print."

Yesterday evening I uploaded 10 test images to see how it works. In few hours I got 2,048 Views. Today morning (it's only few hours!) I got email with this: "500px | Sale of your photo was completed"
This is so fast!

But still don't understand how the prints are pricing, who was talking about $175? :D

606
Yeah, I just noticed that this looks like an "unlimited" license. So it's probably a extended license offered as standard. But I wonder what percentage of micro RF photos are being purchased as a standard license but are getting used under extended terms anyway?

I've found a lot, to much of mine and that's why I left some microstock sites and I'm going to all of them (pricing 1-5$ for DL). I'm not having fun with selling my work that cheap, loosing control over my business, no joy, not at all...

607
They are missing good watermark now... If they do that, offer will be attractive.

608
@ joshuarainey
Few days ago I sent them similar email... still waiting for reply...  ;) And propably, as always, I'll get it after third email to them.
 :-\

609
Is there watermark on Free account images?
Protected & private is only for $25 or $75 payed account?

610
I saw your image in "Recent Print Sales" lately :) Congrats again! :)

611
I had a dream... that was beautiful dream... SS earn so much money that decided to share with contributors... Just said: "we have so much, we want to give you as you give us..."
Hm, was that real? No, no... it was just a beautiful, amazing dream...  ::)
 ;)  :'(

612
Ohhhh, thank god I'm not with them! Never have and never will be!  ???

Newbie Discussion / Re: Partner Sites Question?

Didn't you find answers for your question in DP thread? Veer thread? Lately you can find it everywhere in the fact  ;)

614
"Unlimited Online Images for $9.90"

Is that the (fast) future of microstock world?  :-\
The worst nightmare just came true...

if yes...
So glad I'm not on that site...

so soon I'll be glad not to be on any microsite.

But if I had a time machine, I'd go back to 2006 and stop Bruce Livingstone from selling iStock to Getty Images....
Not quite sure how I'd talk him out of it, but if I've built a time machine, I'm sure I could figure that part out :)

Let me know... I'm going with you!

Alamy.com / Re: Alamy sales
« on: March 05, 2014, 13:52 »
For my 250 images, the interval between payouts has gone from months to years - assuming I ever get another sale...

250 files is NOTHING! It's good to test new ground, to make first steps, but not for serious work and sales :)

Maybe I'm wrong, but I can see that lately there is the "coming back" trend - fair pricing for RF. Look at new agencies like Stockbo, SS offset or Stocksy. I know it's not the best idea to compare them with Alamy... but we can see that not only microstock is going to exist. High pricing is managing pretty well... Alamy will survive :)
After 3 years with Al. I can clearly see that there is not big sense to upload specific work to microstock (they usually don't want accept my images, and if they accept it doesn't find right client target). If you take some special shots you can do pretty well with Al.

As I said before, I started getting regular, at least 1 sale/ month with only ~ 700 images.
First sales were with 200.
With 1500 there is every month sales...
For me it works. But I don't shoot standard microstock pics. I'm not good in micro. I prefer places like Alamy. And it's different market with different stuff (and different prices! :) ).

It's up to us, what we shoot, where sell it, for what prices...  ;)

General Stock Discussion / Re: Paypal charge?
« on: March 05, 2014, 08:21 »
I asked the same a month ago here.

618
I have asked Photogenica where they got my images, because some are still available when I deactivated them on DP. They said their partner was 123RF.

When and how did you contact them?
I've sent email (in polish lang.) at [email protected] March 03 and still waiting for replay...

Herg, just out of curiosity - do you sell the same RF images in microstock? Just asking...

Symbiostock - Technical Support / Re: Different prices?
« on: March 04, 2014, 08:07 »
Did you try another browser?

622
... Where are they getting my images from? Are they a partner with DP?

DP:
"Yes, Photogenica.pl is our partner.
Should you have any further questions feel free to contact us."

623
@ jarih,
You can opt out from 123rf partner sites. You can't from Veer. There was a thread about Veer option: http://www.microstockgroup.com/veer-marketplace/veer-reseller-api/

Ajaj, I feel really bad with this partners sites and to low earnings :(
Wish I knew (and care) before... Whatta mess to clean up now...

624
This stock is partner from Veer. But I didn't know that they get images from DP as well.

625
@ Pixart, you're right, can't do purchase, but it shouldn't be there at all.
