Did you all get April payment yet?
Adobe pays when you request it, not monthly. Takes about a week after you request it to get it.

Offtopic question, but it has connection with SS, and it's caused by "exciting" news.
If I opt out from Image sales, Footage sales, Sensitive use and Enhanced license (in SS account settings) will all my files be removed from all SS searches, including partners sites?
Thanks!
Yes, if you look at your dashboard where it says Image portfolio it will have 0 next to it. Click on it and it will say "This contributor has no active images in their portfolio." Partner sites, who knows? Give me a partner sight and I will have a look.
Thanks for reply! Actually, SS has easiest way to remove all files. Something good from them...
Can you explain the easiest way to remove all files from SS? I have been deleting them one by one from the catalog manager.

OMG I see what you mean with those two portfolios. I cant believe they let this similar crapola through the queue. Wow, how times have changed in the microstock world.

Of course, you are going to say I am lying. But I am not. Frankly, I don't care. Keep trying to discredit us...the truth is always there, while you hide here like a coward. Maybe you are just lazy and want to blame your inadequate talents on someone else.
Peace.

Well what a great advert for other contributors! Instead of trying to sort out the issues you resort to unprofessional name calling and insults!
Where did you learn your business practises from?
I'm glad I never bothered with your outfit
Yeah, pretty unprofessional.

Old software no longer legal: https://dazwallace-wordpress-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/dazwallace.wordpress.com/2019/05/08/the-great-adobe-purge-of-19/amp/?amp_js_v=0.1
So even if you purchased the software outright you are not allowed to use it!
It appears to apply to CC or creative cloud subscription software only?
Earlier none CC should not be affected and they are referring to "you run the risk of claims of infringement by third parties."
But anyway I don't care, I saw through what Adobe were doing a long time ago and I'm happy with my standalone product which still works just fine and will do in to the future
I took it to mean the subscription versions as well. I still use CS6 and will continue to do so.

Dear Musalex,
Eri does not play fair? Who are you?
We pull total revenue from Stripe and split it with authors. This is visible in your author stats.
Why not just quit Motion Array if we are so "unfair". It amazes me how you don't exercise your freedom and instead come in here bashing a small marketplace. Some of our stats from top-earning authors for the month of April 2019:
4657.66 USD 4549.36 USD 4152.54 USD 3621.97 USD 3214.2 USD 3154.43 USD 3031.68 USD 2962.08 USD 2891.36 USD 2805.21 USD 2658.48 USD 2440.09 USD 2415.83 USD 2383.23 USD 2318.37 USD 2308.12 USD 2252.78 USD 2011.32 USD 1863.36 USD 1856.85 USD 1853.6 USD
Of course, you are going to say I am lying. But I am not. Frankly, I don't care. Keep trying to discredit us...the truth is always there, while you hide here like a coward. Maybe you are just lazy and want to blame your inadequate talents on someone else.

You should ask Leaf for a verified logo. You could be anyone calling yourself Eri.

You have got to laugh
"The Shutterstock API is backed by a royalty-free image library where every asset is vetted for compliance with copyright laws. For example, all Shutterstock images with models require proper model releases. Likewise, images featuring landmarks, private property, artwork, and even recognizable animals are required to have valid releases.
The rigor of our asset review process minimizes the risk of copyright claims for your application and end users. With Shutterstock API plans, you can enjoy the peace of mind of choosing a solution that helps you protect your business and end users."
Yes, quite the joke, since thieves are stealing our hi rez images thru a hole in the software.

Maybe I'm being overly picky, but when I receive an email from a business I expect proper grammar and spelling to be used. "Ann"'s email is painful to read. And that in of itself makes me ignore the message.
Perhaps English isn't her first language.
I am the same way. And if a company is going to write emails in English, they should be professional enough to make sure spelling and grammar are correct. They make millions of $$ ... no excuse. Sure, everyone makes mistakes, but they shouldnt, at their level. Its like the email date mistake Shutterstock just sent out...they take enough of our money to make sure that doesnt happen. Back in the day, in graphic arts, we used to send all work through at least 2 people for proofreading. I guess no one cares about trivial things like professionalism (or ethics) anymore.

Regarding #1...I didnt start to see regular sales until I had over 500 images up. But that was 14 years ago. Since there are millions of images on the sites now, I would expect that number to be a lot more. But the quality, useability, and popularity of your images factor in, too, I would think.

I am not personally interesting
That's just your opinion!
He should have added a smiley face. I have a feeling English isnt your first language. You should have said I am not personally interested. By saying you are not personally interesting, your sentence means you are boring. Your English lesson for today. Cheers!

Hi Mat,
Great webinar.
The question regarding copyright reminded me. I am about to send you a PM re. some particularly egregious infringement that has been going on on Fotolia and carried over to Adobe. I am hoping that the new ownership takes this seriously. It is a top selling person who has probably made tens of thousands off someone else's work given their placement in some of the most popular search results for years. Be interesting to see if this is taken seriously.
You should start a new thread on this. Its important but might not get seen when its off-topic in the webinar thread. I am interested in the answer.

Used to get them, got one a couple of months ago, but they are pretty rare now. Especially since SS has allowed theft through holes in their software and most of my (our?) images are being given away on the free sites.

If I saw someone stealing sausages from the butchers I wouldn't expect to report it for the Police for them to say "They are not your sausages its none of your business"
There is a popular saying going around now...see something, say something. It is in regards to crime. Any crime. Stealing other peoples property, whether tangible or digital, is a crime and should be investigated and punished. And dismissing the good samaritan, and continuing to reward the criminal, is inconscionable.

Well it isn't their content (the agencies), and in some of the instances you've mentioned, it isn't your content either... so it's kind of understandable that nothing can be done. Surely you'd be the first to complain if you had some of your content removed by a DMCA submitted by some random person who isn't even the copyright owner?
Sure the setup isn't ideal, with plenty of shortfalls and loopholes, but I'm not sure what else you would suggest? Other than the agencies hiring teams of investigators at great cost for minimal, if any, return.
And if they did all this investigation stuff/research rather than just doing the minimum with regards to DMCA action (removing or not removing content based on the info/actions of the two parties... wouldn't they then not even be doing the minimum with regards to DMCA action?
I agree with your first paragraph. However, the agencies most certainly should investigate when multiple people complain about a whole portfolio of stolen work. Most of the legwork is being done for them, by contributors, free of charge! Its a cost of doing business (or should be). And once one single stolen image is found in a portfolio, the whole port should come down and the contributor banned, not just the stolen image. But you see the agencies dont care where their sales $$ comes from. Legal or illegal, no matter to them.

I got the email, didn't even notice the mistake. Well spotted. People make mistakes though even shutterstock's people. Although email is still my favourite form of communication, it does often seem antiquated. Emails can't be unsent.
Or maybe its true.. wait for another month now
Yeah, Im hoping it doesnt mean we have to wait until June to get Mays payment.

No, the amount was in there and looked correct, I just zeroed it out for this post. I was just amazed that they made a mistake (I hope) on the date. Their emails used to come as just plain text. Theyve fancied it up, but its an epic fail.

Adobe's got what it takes but their lawyers are too scared to allow them to accept editorial. They can't take over till they do.
They dont take editorial images or video from contributors because they have previous arrangements for editorial images. Nothing to do with scared lawyers.https://www.microstockgroup.com/fotolia-com/editorial-video-in-adobe/Our editorial content is sourced through outside agencies at this time. We are not accepting editorial submissions from individual contributors. - Mat Hayward

This site has been on autopilot (and pretty much dead) for years
And that is pretty much confirmed when they say its minimal expense to run it.
I thought they went out of business a LONG time ago. I was surprised to even see this post.
