The Wacom Graphire4 tablet is on sale at Circuit City for $50 (after rebate).
I was thinking of picking one up.
Does anyone have any opinions on this product? Good, bad, indifferent?

I just got an email from 123RF that states the following:
"We have recently increased our daily download limit for our premium subscription from the previous 20 to 26 downloads per day. Some of you may remember that we normally pay our contributors using a complex formula that splits 50% of the subscription revenue per download for a given month. As a result, in some months the pay out will be higher and in other months, lower. Thankfully, for the recent previous months, the payout has been stable at $0.35.
"What's the worry?", you ask! Well, without going into specifics, under the old formula - as the number of downloads increase, the payout rate will decrease.
We would like to inform you that to protect your earnings for the future and the present, effective July 1, 2007, we will set the download payout rate to contributors at $0.36 per download, which is 20% higher than our nearest competitor :-)
Now that's another thing you don't have to worry about, isn't it?
Congratulations on the raise from a $0.30 to $0.36 per download! You deserve it!"
So it seems that the dynamic subscription pricing has now changed to a static price of 0.36
What do you think about this?

You really have to take care that the white dress is not blown out, especially when you are in the sun.
One thing that nobody seemed to mention is the importance of shooting in RAW mode (if possible) to make sure that the white balance and exposure level can be adjusted post-processing (just in case). Also, if you have a gray-card (for white balance), then I would suggest taking it along so that you can adjust white balance periodically.

The next worst week is at the end of August/beginning of September (is there another US public holiday around that time?).
There are three major U.S. summer holidays: Memorial Day (the last Monday in May), Independence Day (July 4th), and Labor Day (the 1st Monday in September). Even though the Summer technically starts with Summer Solstice on June 20th or 21st, Memorial Day is the holiday that everyone typically the summer with.

This is a very curious question coming from someone that owns a stock site.
I would also agree that it has to do with price point.

Not sure how many of you are using Yahoo! Photos, but I received an email today that said that Yahoo! Photos is closing shop on 09/20/07 @ 9:00 pm PDT. They want to concentrate their efforts on Flickr. I didn't even remember that I had photos on there, but I had two! I must have added them years ago and forgot about them. If you like, they will automatically move your photos to another service (Flickr, Kodak Gallery, Shutterfly, Snapfish, and Photobucket). If you are interested, here is some more info: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/photos/photos3/closing/

Here is a quote from the agreement (@ http://albumo.com/licensing): "Member also forfeits the right to remove submitted and approved for sale Content for 400 days since the date of initial upload."As far as I know, that is the longest that any site requires content to be online (before deletion).

I'm a little confused.
I submitted two images this morning. Both were accepted this afternoon. They are both taken with a Canon 30D (and thus 8 MP or 3504x2336), yet they are only available at two sizes: medium (1500x2100 or 3.1 MP) and small (600x800 or 0.5 MP). What gives? Are those the only sizes available for download? Or will they be offering other sizes in the future?
Also, the extended license for these images shows as $80. I thought that they were $50!

I noticed on the Kodak site they sell digital camera sensors. Is it possible to fit an after market Kodak to your camera?
Like can I stick a Kodak 7mp sensor in my old Canon 300D?
Unless you are a super techno-geek, definitely not.

I was looking at that [the Alexa graphs] the other day as well....I don't see a drop, though - I see a rise. The biggest rise is FT.
I was very surprised that the FT curve didn't show a drastic traffic drop from the June 14-16. The fact that they weren't online doesn't seem to register on Alexa. According to Alexa their traffic actually increased, which has me questioning the reliability of their data.
This might signify that they only record the attempt and not the success of trying to access a site. There were probably many people attempting (over and over again) to reach Fotolia (unsuccessfully).

Looks like a great idea for a contest.
The only thing that I would like to see changed is to limit the number of entries. Allowing an unlimited number of entries gives a large advantage to those that submit huge amounts of photos. It also makes judging the images that much more difficult for the judges (since there are more images to judge).
Every photo contest that I have ever been in has limited the number of images that a contestant is allowed to enter. I would recommend limiting the number of entries to three. This will equalize the playing field and help to make judging easier. It will also make contestants think about their submissions, instead of taking the shotgun approach ( and just uploading their hard disk).

It looks like Fotolia has just started their V. 2 upgrade.
