Well done Madelaide. Here's hoping you soon have more flames!  :)

Didn't Bigstock try this a few years back? I don't think they had much success.
#78
I just signed in there, three sales in April.

Lovely news, Congratulations Ivan.   ;D

Ok, I just saw it:
What does PhotoSpin pay?
There are 2 ways you can participate: you can either receive a 50% revenue split for exclusive images to PhotoSpin or a 40% revenue split for non-exclusive images. In both cases the copyright and the image remain yours, you're only licensing the image to us to distribute (as royalty free) to our customers on your behalf. Each revenue split is based upon the number of total downloads of your images per customer per month.

Yes, but how much is the revenue per picture?

They offer this for $329:

"UNLIMITED DOWNLOADS PhotoSpin is the only subscription on the market that offers a truly unlimited service. You will have access to download as many images as you like during the term of your subscription. No limits."

That is....no comment....

I wonder how much they pay contributors?

I wonder that too. Can the OP give us some examples of how much he has received for different size sales so we can compare?

I started in 2005, and SS is by far the best earner for me.

I have not been uploading to Alamy as I have been really busy on another venture. Maybe I should start uploading again.

Hey that's my picture!
The smilie faces used by 123rf on the above link is one of mine.

I'm about to do a huge DERAIL...

About those smiley faces... are you, or anyone else with yellow smileys in your port, concerned about copyright aspects of that iconic image?   Apparently it's a hotly contested image right now (here's just one example for further reading ... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/4984138.stm ) and I think some of the sites are playing cautious and not letting new smileys in and sometimes going through and removing old ones from ports.  Anyone else seeing this happen?

Sorry for the derailment... now back to your regularly scheduled thread...

Awww no!!! That's a good selling image.

I remember about three or four years ago an employee from a small site was uploading our pictures on other sites claiming them as his own. I cannot remember the name of the site, they didn't last long once he was rumbled. It was an Eastern European site I think.

It is driving me mad now trying to remember that name!  ???

Mad

First, allow me to apologize for the any anxiety I may have caused you.

Excuses aside, I receive more than 400 e-mails per day, so until you posted a link to this platform on my blog, your concerns were not bought to the forefront.  I could have contacted you right away if there was a telephone number in your profile here or in the e-mail you sent me.

Your thumbnail image has been removed from and I wish you all the best,

So are you going to compensate Madelaide for the theft and use of her image?

Have you tried Dreamstime? They accept all my illustrations, and they sell really well. They are my number two earning site at the moment.

It's been months since I had one flagged then I get one today?  Which among us is using the forum links to make .02 off each other?

I got 5 today, all from the same person. It does name the person who reported the error.

I have been uploading to the recently, and it is a joy to do! This is what uploading should be, just send the images to them and they do the rest.
I had a couple of minor queries, and they answered my emails promptly and dealt with my queries very efficiently.
I really hope this site is a winner.

No sales this year until yesterday, then seven at $3.50 each!
That we should all have sales on the same day seems odd. Have they had a big sales push?
#95
I have had eight sales on Deposit photos, six of them subs and a large and extra large sale. I was paid very quickly for my initial upload. I am still uploading. I have had a few dodge rejections, for similar were they are not similar, and for faulty isolations on shots that are not isolations, but most shots are accepted quickly. Overall they have seemed very professional and upwardly mobile!

I have had a good month. Not the best ever but a lot of EL's boosted things. I am 30% up on December. and 20% up on Jan last year.
SX tanked, but Fotolia flew.
The surprise of the month is Deposit photos with three nice sales and a payout, and I only started uploading there about three weeks ago!

I noticed a few images I recognized from istock. I have emailed the owners to let them know.

I am an accountant during the week. At weekends I enjoy walking (The mountains of Wales are visible from my back door), cooking and reading. I spend far too long on the computer, I love RPG's. Dragonage is my obsession at the moment.
When I am not working I love traveling. I am trying to walk in stages around the coast of Britain, photographing as I go.
