I just read that a 2X Teleconverter is supplied with the lens, that makes 400-1000mm, how nice and even more on a lot of digital cameras like on the D20 because of the crop factor. But I guess you cannot be on your own anymore. You need a team i guess. At least two people to carry the lense and the massive tripod which is required

Since February I am having the hardest time with Fotolia. I used to sell there steadily if not spectacularly a couple or three pics a day making my way up to just under 200 pics sold and then - nothing. A week can go by without a sale. Then they trickle in for a few days, onesies and twosies if I am lucky and then nothing again.
Anybody else sharing that experience? What is going on? I haven't been uploading much recently because I a) don't have that much new stuff right now and b) I am a bit disenchanted - but that shouldn't impact sales, right? -  and

I experienced the exact same thing.. 3,4 month ago. Now the earnings increased a little bit, but in no comparison to the other sites. Fotolia is falling far behind the other agencies. no 5 of the big 6.

Yeah, they give you money, just for acceptance. I submitted 5 and one of it was accepted. But that was also the best I would say.
Sale price is the same. Ok I will let you know..

Well I agree, what about the new Images, but if the overall sales have increased 30% I do not mind the change. For me it is good. I think I am one of the people who benefited from this. The earnigs have gone up for me about 30%. The thing I do not like at SS is, that you constantly have to upload images.

Here are mine: I did not count the up and coming they are really neglectible, together with BS. IS 30% increased 25 cents ~ 0,2 % SS 30% decreased ~ 18% DT 18% increased ~ 30% StockXpert 11,3% increased ~30% FT 10,7 % increased ~ 30% Lets not forget, Febuary had 3 less days than January..

Hi Tina, I am on two German sites. Panthermedia.net and Pitopia. On Panthermedia I have an average earning of 20 a month. That is about half the money I earned this month at StockXpert. I have 100 images online at Panthermedia.net. I just started at Pitopia, so I do not know how Pitopia goes, no dl so far.. Also weiss ich nicht wieviel dir das bringt

There is a really nice tool at google.
If you have a specific object like, lets say rocket, type in in the google search engine: " define: rocket"
You get all kinds of definition of rocket. through the definitions you can pick up keywords which describe the object.

58,3 % but lately it got worse.. Certainly also my fault. Since the implemented that feature which allows you to choose that other people will keyword your image for 20c I have been a bit careless about quality. Either they take it or not. I do not have a lot of work with the images. I just have to upload them. If they reject them, I get my 20c back and just have wasted 15sec for the upload.

So probably the English version translates from other languages in English. So if you would use Xenia's or mine Referral link for Panthermedia, that would be nice If you register I would recommend you to register as "Salesman" or "FC-Standard" thats for free. well i actually think the chances are pretty good relatively speaking
They currently have almost 17,000 files in the cue. It seems they go through the cue in the order they were submitted.
They currently have 960,757 images online, but have had around 1,875,782 submitted which means they accept about 1 out of every 2 images submitted. That means if you submit an image today and get it accepted it will probably be around image #969,000
I think one could get within 1000 of 1,000,000 pretty easily. So that means your chances are 1/1000
If you had a full cue to upload (100 images) you might bring your winning chances down to 1/100 if you were lucky
Be skeptical if you want but look who'll be laughing when i walk away with the prize
Anyways, I think it would be cool if someone from here won. I will post a new thread when i think it is the optimum time to submit so we all can send in our images.
Well, if you will get the price, I will certainly laugh too

in Germany we have have very good agencies where your pictures are now presend... sorry my english is not good.. i always be angry when istock or shutterstock dont wont my images.. because they sell them for 25 uscent.. that in euros only 17 cent i think.. i stop uploading there.. shutterstock i realy like.. fotolia also!
My problem is.. i load to german agencies like:

adpic, digitalstock, mm-images and a lot more.. and i have nothing against stockagencies.. but i realy like the way they treat me! Fotolia dont do it... there i earn monthly 200 euros.. but at dreamtimes, shutter and istock i habe problems with model-release. My contracts are in germany and in germany you dont need widnesses... i cant put on my model 20 different releases bevor we shot!
I would realy want that you go to
panther, digitalstock, shotshop, and other german angencies.. perhaps there sole only 2 images a month for you.. but it brings also 50 euro and sorry thats better than sell 100 images for nossing...

@ Xenia, Welche von denen bringen am meisten Einkommen? Sind da irgendwelche, die besser laufen als Panthermedia? Ich bin bei PM, aber ich kenne die anderen nicht. Which one of those bring in the most earnings? Are there any which are better than Panthermedia? I do do not know any other German agencies than PM.
