You links aren't working from me but the subject looks pretty evident for the second one just from the title!!
I have a few in the que so hopefully I dont suffer the same fate.
Next time jsut say it is an abstract and therefore doesn't need a subject.

It is partly up now, but I am trying to submit photos I have uploaded and it is coming back with an error.

Payouts have changed so you make $1 crdit for a normal photo unless they still have old credits that means you only get $0.50.

fotolia is my third best earner this month which is a big pick up from the previous month. I agree though tat for ease up upload, 123RF, StockXpert are good additions. For the effort you put in, vertually none, the DL are good but I will still need to add a lot more to get to payout level.

Same here. says it is due to server upgrade which should be finished Wednesday afternoon. Doesn't appear to affect the front end of the site so hopefully it wont effect sales (oops forgot - haven't had any from them yet!!)

For share ease, everyone should join ->> StockXpertCommissions are ok: 50c-$1 and approvals are up there and quick too. they have a rating system but out of 100 photos, only one is rated. On the my galary page you can sort by DL, Views, rating or comments.

I would go that far but I have had a few sales. What interests me though is the number of views. Most dont get many but I have on that is rated a 10 and it is getting lots of views (much more than any on fotolia), likewise my photo that has 2 DL (rating and DL are different ways to sort searches). Unfortunately it is not converting into sales.

I agree as a small site with a higher sales ratio would be a better bet to submit to. However, this is probably "commercially sensitive information" and very unlikely it will be published.

Good things take time. As your portoflio builds up, the sales will start climbing. I only get a few sales a month with a larger portfolio (about 70). You should also try dreamtime as it is one of my top 2 earners (top this month so far). I was lucky and got past the shutterstock entry test first time despite the fact it was the first site I joined. I just picked by best shots. I think once you have a few shots on say bigstock, fotolia and Dreamtime, you should be able to work out what they accept (note: shutterstock is a bit harder than those three but you should be able to tell which are the better of the photos that have been submitted). shutterstock also have a critic forum which might help you choose your best.

I have only been doing it for 2 months so not much. Still waiting on my first payout from all sites.

As a side note, I would put Budapest as one of my "favourite" Euro cities along with the others you mention. NOt quite sure about "famous" though.

I figured out about about a weekago that the limit wasn't being imposed so I downloaded all my photos - about 100. Most are now accepted so my limit is high anyway (enough for me anyway).
However, I wont submit to them anymore unless the DL pick up. I dont think I have one though most photos were only accepted in the past 2 days.

You are kidding right. I see your point but surely not. there has to be a line drawn somewhere.
Can anything be photographed without a release. Everything in the world is either owned by someone, designed by someone or claimed by someone.
Post any photo and I am sure I could think of some obscure person that you need a release from.

Either their reviewers take longer per picture or they work part time as there database isn't growing as fast as you would think given the size of the que. Maybe it is because they reject so much.

It is quite interesting. Good to know it is based on revenue rather than downloads.

As long as there cue is still long, they have no incentive to increase the limits - I think they have 30 reveiwers dont they??
I think this change was done after they stoped all uploads while they caught up.

The only place I have really seen lightboxs in operation is at iStock. Are they used much at the other sites and if so, are they as worthwhile as you think they are at iStockphoto.

Does being in a public light box on iStock improve your chances of getting downloads.
I guess it would help as if the designer is searching on a theme and searches light boxes rather than just a normal search.
<-Just trying out the move function.

Leaf - if you gave yourself two personalities, that way you wouldn't have to have conversations with yourself (technically you still would be but no one would know).
Maybe your new 2nd personality could be "Twig" or something like that.

I agree. It does make it good for the designer though as if they have spare credits, they buy one and effectively get 4 different shots.
I am surprised they are even accepting them to tell you the truth (effectively need a bad compostion reject).
i was also looking on istock and saw model shots with the three different poses isolated on white in the same photo - a 3 model shots being sold for $1. I dont see the point as you will get the sale anyway and potential 3 if you separate them.

I am in two minds, lower limit but it iw weekly rather than daily.
Daily wasn't to much of an issue as I would upload each morning before I started work.
Dont think it will effect me as I only upload my more successfull photos which is less than 30 a week.
