I see many wondering who will want to buy a subscription when the marketplace has XX,000,000 files. I can tell you exactly who will. People like me that have clients with VERY limited budgets and people that also want access to After Effects templates, audio tracks, and backgrounds.

As a contributor it's easy to focus only on the aspect of their subscription offering that you produce, but that's not all that they offer.

Great job! I liked the video and subscribed (I'm nosheep on YouTube) to your channel.

I would like to see some more basic tutorials as well. For example, you say that you can refine your curves and lines. That would be a great topic for another tutorial.

While I understand that you want to keep your intro short, a cut-down version of the end montage wouldn't be out of place at the beginning.

Not that anyone cares what i think  but I have been a VideoBlocks subscription customer for the past 2 years. Not only do they provide excellent service to the buyer, but there are some people that I highly respect (Luke and Marika Neumann for example) that have supplied footage to VideoBlocks. At the level at which the Neumanns and others operate, I highly doubt that they would work with any company/website that wasn't on the up-and-up.

I personally can't wait for the for the marketplace!

The two image linked were both editorial, so that makes a difference as well.

It seems to me that people using UAVs commercially (like myself) are more likely to be responsible and to have insurance than hobbyists. It feels like the FAA is focusing the regulation in the wrong direction.

Thanks Lio! I forgot to mention that 30p is NTSC and 25p is PAL. It's based upon the frequency of the electricity in the different countries, I believe.

30p is used more often for television (in the US) while 24p is used for movies and other cinematic purposes. The choice really comes down to who will be using your word and for what purpose. Make it easy for your typical buyer and you'll sell more.

I would hope that most people creating digital products wouldn't steal other people's digital products. I personally think that CC has allowed many people that used cracked/pirated copies of Adobe products in the past to "get legal" and be more productive. I know that many of you won't agree, but I love CC.

It seems to me that you have to choose one or the other. I would rather have the ability to set my own prices.

While I don't know anyone personally that has submitted to VideoBlocks, one of the independent film-makers that I follow (Neumann Films) has produced content for them. The offer that the OP referenced does exist.

It appears that VideoBlocks is going to expand beyond their current subscription-only model into pay-per-download as well with 100% of the sale price going to the artist. In an email, VideoBlocks said the following:

What is happening in the home entertainment space is almost exactly opposite of what is happening in computing. The average Joe wants a bigger, more theater-like, experience in their living room, but is using his desktop less and less as everything happens on his cell in this day and age.

Sometimes it's hard for us to keep up with what real people (as opposed to us micro-stock crazies  ) are concerned with. I often want to choke people that look at crappy photos on Facebook, Instagram, etc. and ooh and aah over them when all I can see is motion blur, camera shake, noise, etc.

It is very easy to make a video black and white as well as resize it using any common NLE (Non-Linear Ediotor) software like Premiere Pro of Final Cut.

If you don't have the budget for one of those, you can also try LIghtworks which is free.
