I have received a couple of such notices as well, and it really raised concern and anxiety. They were contents I submitted and approved years ago, and if there is a new guideline, I will definitely comply... but strong words such as "Repeated violations may result in the permanent suspension of your Canva account." is a very scary statement. Like everybody mentioned here, it will be too harsh if we got suspended due to content from the past.

Tested out the "Text to Vector Graphic". I am not really impressed at the moment.

It basically just convert/traced the raster graphic to vector (using the "existing" Image Trace).

So, the outlines are not-clean and not really too usable.

Note that this still in Beta. I think another few years if it is able to generate clean vector, then contributors are no longer needed.

1. Fearing our account got blocked
2. Fear of overnight alogorithm changes
3. Fear of overnight royalty cut
4. Fear of getting "Exciting email"

The drop is so drastic

Gosh... I hope they remain. It still made me a good $20-$30 each month.

I got a feeling that 123rf, Dreamstime, DepositPhotos are going to succumb as well, but I hope not.

These smaller agencies, although not earning a lot, but remains good to contributors all along.

This "40% sudden drop" reminds me of how fragile my career is. I am glad it is "fixed", but the PTSD I had from that "40% drop" will linger within me for a very long time to come.

I think I need to change my career.

I can't seems to find the Canva Tax Withholding Page on Canva contributor page anymore. There was a page that shows all our payment in list month by month and the withholding amount.

So, as I understand this:

Shutterstock doesn't allow us to submit any AI generated images, but it will allow its customers to generate the AI images with our images (from Shutterstock database), and then compensate back to us if our images are being used to generate those new images.

Adobe Stock on the other hand, allows us to submit AI generated images. However, Adobe Stock doesn't want to take any responsibility of those images and want us to take full responsibility of it. As of now, for commoners like us, we can use Dall-E or Midjourney to create AI generated images, but we definitely doesn't own the rights of these images since it uses other people's images. BUT, some people do not care and take the risk to continue to upload images from this process because Adobe Stock has no ways to actually know if the uploader has the rights or not.

Is my understanding of the situations correct?

Can someone from Canva gives an insight on what's going on? Sales at Canva has been on decline steadily month to month and it is a little worrying.

I got a sale at $3900, and I only get $0.38 out of it.
