Adobe Stock / Re: Continuing their downgrading of contributor earnings, only $4 for each freebie« on: May 19, 2025, 13:43 »
Dam it, just put all 2000 for annual and perpetual, lifes too short! Im more interested in how many they choose rather than the money. I deselected any with over 4 sales thoughthey sure nominated images with more than 4 sales, a few of mine had nearly 100 sales so best check before accepting

If I knew they would accept all 2000 nominated for perpetual then Id jump at it. Can restock the images no problem, easy work..in reality though they usually only accept 10% ish from my experience so probably stick to annual onlythough food for thought, if you do the annual option every year, isnt this the same as choosing perpetual.in a way!

Microstock Services / Re: Microstock Plus Alternatives« on: May 15, 2025, 11:57 »1. Upload online, directly on the site. Yeah but I can upload 50 images including giving the titles and keywords to over 40 agencies in under 5 minutes (not that I upload to 40 but I could), being able to copy paste from your previous 10,000 images the keywords etc is a no brainer. 5
Microstock Services / Microstock Plus Alternatives« on: May 12, 2025, 16:39 »
Hi,
Does anyone have any recommendations (tried and actually works) for an alternative to Microstock Plus / Stocksubmitter for Mac? I have used these products for years without issue however now they cannot get Pond5 or Shutterstock to work on my account so it serves no purpose now. Thanks 6
MicrostockSubmitter / Re: Ongoing issues with Pond5 : Stock Submitter« on: February 22, 2025, 11:20 »
I use microstock plus and Pond5 for me stopped working couple of months ago. They are working on a solution they tell me. Im not overly fussed as Pond5 does nothing for me anyway.

General Stock Discussion / Instagram layout change« on: January 19, 2025, 14:21 »
Any thoughts on Instagram changing the layout from square to portrait rectangle, from Instagram users? Certainly messed up a lot of large corporations pages who had made larger images from squares..

Shutterstock.com / Re: Shuterstock about to get eaten by Getty« on: January 09, 2025, 02:18 »In the webcast about the merger both companies said ai had zero influence on sales and no loss occured. On the contrary their ai tools brought additional customers. I have found SS to be doing better than Adobe out of the last 3 months, at least for me anyway, based on images. In Jan so far SS are beating Adobe for myself, this hasnt been the case for me before. 9
General Stock Discussion / Re: Getty and Shutterstock officially merging together?« on: January 07, 2025, 08:42 »
Potential to loose 30% of my earnings if they merge to one website, basically my earnings are 30% SS, 30% iStock and 30% Abode, 10% Dreamtime, Pond5 etc.based on image sales only

Shutterstock.com / Shutterstock sales better than Adobe« on: December 01, 2024, 15:45 »
Well, for me anyway and for November 2024 at least. I could see this happening a few months ago as sales became close and closer.
SS - 230 image sales - 225 Adobe - 274 image sales - 196 I notice last few months 2 or 3 decent single sale values from SS around $20 each Prob wont last but interesting and have noticed drop in sales value from Adobe last 6 months. 12

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobestock Review Time« on: October 08, 2024, 12:34 »I have noticed in last 2 weeks I have received emails every day or every other day confirmed files being reviewed, maybe things have sped up a bit I dont submit video of any sort or AI of any sort. I am a beginner in the grand scheme of things but have submit 25 images every week without fail for the last 8 years. End of 2023 review time slowed down for me then sped up feb 2024 for around a month then slowed down again and now sped up again start of Oct 2024 but last 7 years or so review times were decent. 15

General - Stock Video / Re: How much do you pay to your stock models?« on: October 07, 2024, 10:15 »
I wouldnt dream of hiring a model for microstock but do sell many photos of people. People I know or on the street. Elderly sell best for me, most over 100 times.....

Adobe Stock / Re: Demand Adobe Stock to Reinstate Contributor Support and Fair Treatment« on: September 23, 2024, 04:55 »
Adobe is a private business, they owe contributors nothing. It is your choice whether you contribute or not and it is their business to do as they please with, within law. I'm just not keen on the long wait for payment and long review time but it wont stop me contributing, oh and the Adobe forum is a waste of space, full of fanboys.

Wouldn't suprise me if they were spending more time removing mages than approving new images. It is difficult to know incompatible with terms it stated with a link to their terms without saying which term. Photo of sports grounds. 21

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe quarters and years« on: September 02, 2024, 06:46 »
Far too many variables for each person experience in stock to be able to compare your sales to the next, for me Adobe sales are still best performer but are decreasing in 2024 and think it will get worse in 2025 onwards, Shutterstock almost matched Adobe for me this month. Still decent pocket money for 60mins hobby work every week, around $800/month.
