Keep in mind that storing the photos also costs them money. It is one thing to store quality photos that make you money and totally different when you store low quality photos that nobody wants.

During the whole year I read only quite negative comments about Dreamtimes... And suddenly it would have become the best microscock agency in the world...
Share your comment again because twice is not good enough.
The same comment may be relevant to two different discussions...
But maybe it's too hard for you to understand that?
No, it is not. Spamming each discussion is not productive.
You have your opinion and I agree with it as well. Dreamstime or any other agency for that fact is not there to serve us. They are corporations that have no feelings. They serve one purpose - to make money for their shareholders/owners.

I don't think that they have put that much thought behind it all. It seems to me that they needed to show growth (for whatever reason) so they took the fastest and easiest way in the short term. I don't know what the CEO's background is but to me he shows a total lack of understanding of the microstock industry.

Edit: I expect them to hide the portfolio disable buttons next.

Oh look, on day 8 of their shitstorm they are trying to play divide and rule.

This seems like a reaction to what is going on and not a pre-calculated move. I hope that they continue to feel the heat as more and more creators see their reports and payments shrinking.

I got my first 10 cents sale. I immediately deactivated my portfolio. I have not been doing stock lately but I have made Shutterstock thousands of dollars. I refuse to stay still and smile as they spit on my face. I doubt that they will miss my portfolio but I prefer to work with agencies that see me as a partner and not as a milking cow.
Whenever you go in with a win-lose mentality, you are the one losing in the long run. Good luck, Shutterstock! ;)

They might be going by a different time zone. I don't expect them to walk this one back.

I closed my account today. I have a small portfolio, but I don't really want to continue dealing with this agency.

It's been a couple of days for me. No answer still.

I am interested in the Mac version. Please post here when it is out.

UP for the topic. Just in case someone missed it. :)
It was pretty quick to complete compared to some other agencies. :o

Adobe Stock / Re: Introducing Adobe Stock!

Do you think that the Adobe Stock watermark is good/big enough to protect the image at this new size? I feel like it is not covering enough the image. I believe iStock had a diagonal lines as an addition to the logo.

Adobe Stock / Re: Fotalia re-design!

To me it seems like a re-skin and not a total update. I guess they had only a few months and needed a new interface so the customers can 'see' that there is a new owner.

This is maybe the only agency that really gets me excited.
In my opinion communication is a major factor when dealing with contributors and I really appreciate everything that you guys are doing in that department. Keep up the good work, Lee!

I sent a few files a couple of weeks ago and unfortunately the connection dropped so I currently have no idea how many of them have actually made it. I hope that they will show up in my portfolio soon so I can upload the rest of them next week before I leave on holiday.

P.S. Congrats on the 2 000 000 members milestone. :P

I uploaded 40 photos a few months back. I just checked that they have been approved and I have my first sale. 8) Keep them coming! I will upload more photos in the mean time. *excited*

P.S. And a quick suggestion. Is there a way to add a bigger thumbnails (pop-up thumbnails) for the content in the search engine as I find it pretty hard to see what the photo looks like. I have to add it to the project canvas in order to get a real feel of it and then delete it.

"2.4 Under this contract you must:
2.4.1 Be the Copyright owner of the Images or have authority from the Copyright owner to enter into the Contract. You must have a written agreement with each copyright holder of the Images if you are not the Copyright owner of the Images. Once we ensure your images have actual infringement of copyright, you will be fined $ 10,000 USD and deducted 50 points. When your account balance is greater than or equal to $ 10,000 USD, we will deduct the fine from your balance directly; if your account balance is less than $ 10,000 USD, you need to submit $ 10,000 USD within 3 days, otherwise, we will freeze your account, including your account balance."

Jojo, can you comment on this please.

In my opinion the system got too big for its little elements/contributors to be able to change it. There are nowadays too many contributors. Each one with their own goals and agendas. I truly believe that only the market laws will be able to shape this industry in the future.

The whole case seems a little bit too thin to me, but let's see what the court decision will be.

Very Stocktal-like attitude. :(

Small port alert! :P
I have sold only a couple of files for the last three months. Even 123RF is selling more for me. Back in the day they were my number 3 :'(

Unfortunately, I think you are right. The only winner in this case is the agency. I guess the bank always wins :(

I can bet that in 2/3 of the times they used the 'New files' filter. It will not get any better, especially for people like me who missed the last six to ten years.

The PP sales are very confusing for me. :o Is there a way to tell which images have been sold during the last month?

IMO agencies should invest more time in making better stats pages. Some of them are...awful, slow and not very helpful at all.
