Lately I've been getting hit with a lot of fake spam registrations and I was getting fed up with having to go in and delete users and/or block them... My security plugin is great and stops a lot of crap (Wordfence) but just wasn't stopping everything... Neither was Akismet... I've been using/testing a recommended plugin ( http://www.blogseye.com/i-make-plugins/stop-spammer-registrations-plugin/ ) on one of my other sites that was getting hit with a lot of Comment spam and it stopped most of it... in fact, almost all of it... so I thought I'd try it on my SS site... Well gang... I'm happy to say it worked great and I have not received one spam/bot registration since... I know if I'm getting hit with them the rest of you are too or will be soon enough... so give this plugin a shot... it works flawlessly with just the standard install but you can edit all sorts of options... easy... One proxy domain in particular is sending most of these registrations right now from vpn999.com and all have hotmail email addresses... I added that domain in the options and it has been stopping them... I highly recommend using Wordfence and Stop Spammer Registrations together... besides being secure you won't have to deal with too much spam either... AND BOTH ARE FREE PLUGINS. Here's the links again... =} http://www.blogseye.com/i-make-plugins/stop-spammer-registrations-plugin/http://wordpress.org/plugins/wordfence/Linda =}

@Linda interesting that you did only deactivate the child and it worked, I thought rather about the main Symbiostock theme. Sometimes it's good to just upload it manuallty to the server. Anyway grat news it works
I always upload my WP sites manually, especially if it's in beta or testing. However, since the later versions have the upgrade theme feature activated now I used that instead since 2..2.7... I had upgraded to the latest ver 2.3.4 and when things still didn't work I followed previous advice and deactivated and reactivated my child theme... if that didn't work then I was going to re-install the Symbiostock parent but it ended up not being necessary... Everything appears to be working great now... Happy Dance! =}

also changed my theme footer colors too... interesting....
Thanx for the help! Will let ya know if everything else now works right... =}

I currently have my site out of Maintenance Mode in case anyone wants to take a peek (not many pics yet tho)... it's still a WIP and in testing mode while I continue to figure things out... which brings me back to the Network confusion and the .csv file... can someone give me an idea of what I need to do or point me in the right direction? Thanx Linda http://stock.lkpublishinganddesign.com

Right now, my site is on a subdomain until I get everything figured out, tested and set up... the site is http://stock.lkpublishinganddesign.com However, right now it is in maintenance mode and not viewable while it is being constructed. Eventually it will go on a TLD of a different name when I move it to another server. Slowly but surely I'm getting everything figured out...

I'm getting error messages in my Network Settings tab, (functions opendir) and I assuming that's because I haven't set up a network yet. What has me totally confused is the Symbiocard setup and on my images (which I'm just starting to upload) there's an Info area that's empty and the SS logo showing (profile image?)... I'm really confused to how I set all this up... could someone please enlighten me? LOL...
Thanx Linda =}

Thanx

I changed the Default Prices in the Author Options menu and told it to Update existing images but they didn't change? Is this a bug?

I can see this is gonna be a long day... Drop down menus: For the Image Categories, they don't get automatically added to the main menu? Do I need to edit them manually and add them in the custom menus? I see everyone has the drop down menus but none are showing up for me. I assumed it was automatic, once published. Also, adding a new category when editing images does not add the new category... is this a bug? Really appreciate all the help guys... hard to believe I'm an experienced wordpress user and designer... geez... talk about having an "off day" and being brain dead. Wow... LOL. Thanx again.

Watermark is the right size. However, problem seems to be that it won't accept files from a flash drive... soon as I move the files onto the PC they showed up... rest I think is my error and maybe I'm not understanding the "process" link correctly... working now.

I upload the image files using the Symbiostock image loader, but when I click on Process, nothing is there? If I go to all images then I see them. I have installed the latest ver 1.35 cause I was having so many problems getting images uploaded before and getting errors.
Even FTP'd the images but they never showed up. Memory is not a problem 256M, but since upgrading at least now I see images after uploading. FTP'd ones never showed up altho they are on the server. Very confusing.
What am I doing wrong that I can't get them to show up in Processor?
Thanx

Are there any specific instructions for upgrading versions or is simply overwriting existing files with new ones?
Thanx
