Canva paid double times, normally on last month but now again same amount. Am I only one? I think that some rookie trainee did some mistake :)

I get sometimes 10-pack sales, regularly irregularly. Canva sales are steady for me, not like SS which goes down all the time.

If you haven't already synced your existing Fotolia account to Adobe Stock I recommend you do so here: contributor.stock.adobe.com

What this "synced" actually mean? I have an old Fotolia account, do I have to do something, or not? If I don't do what I lose?

I have sold same kind of deal by directly too. About the price, I think that you only can say is it a proper price or not. When I thinking the price I have to consider:

- exclusive use or not
- what image cost to me (model payments etc.)
- how difficult is copy identical image via new shoot
- how big company is customer (for small business prices are lower)
- do I need that money :)
- etc.

Some AA and Tre photographers are also in the Plainpicture.

Depending what you mean with that, for what purpose. For stock image, absolutely NOT! You are not a copyright owner.

My iStock Historical Royalties report amount's (February 2015 - December 2016) are totally different than user stat values (http://www.istockphoto.com/user_stats), every month. The cumulative value is also different. How about yours?

I have a 20 MP camera but my RAW files are not 50 MB.
20 MP x 3 / (1024x1024) = 57,2 MB.. yes you have.. it's UNCOMPRESSED SIZE :)

13
Uncompressed image 50 MB = 17.5 Mpx camera..

Shutterstock.com / Re: Did you apply (get accepted) to OFFSET?
« on: February 10, 2017, 13:23 »
Sorry to hear about Offset rejecting your application too. It isn't easy getting in from what others say. How are sales at ArcAngel for you? Do you reach a payout quickly or does it take a long time to get established there?

During couple of months hard to say nothing about income, only couple hundred images online up to this point. We increase portfolio day by day and let see how it goes.

I just submitted my application for ArcAngel. I'm really hoping I get in...

This is what I submitted: http://creativeangela.com

Not sure if I need more samples? If I don't get accepted I really don't know what to do anymore... Micro is going down the drain and not worth it anymore.

Nice portfolio, I guess that you have Arcangel style images there. I am quite new in Arcangel and about 35% on my images are approved (microstocks 85-100%). I just tried to Offset because I think it's better for RF images, but they reject my application. My Arcangel portfolio is still small because we shoot new material there. But I am frustrated for microstocks and I like to work rather for premium stocks in future.

PhotoDune / Re: Anyone unworthy of Photodune yet?
« on: February 08, 2017, 02:03 »
I left a "photopunish" (VAT issue) two years ago, but now I am wondering, who are left there. Who did not receive this letter, who are they? Is there some common denominator or not.

General Stock Discussion / Re: SS tax form for EU contributors
« on: January 03, 2017, 05:13 »
Thanks, thats great to know :)

I feel stuck with Part III Claim of Tax Treaty Benefits. How does one respond on 14 a, b, c? And 15 Special rates and conditions?  Any comment much appreciated.

All other sections don't really seem to apply..
Sweden is on the Tax Tready List, Treaty Article 12(1) and Withholding Rate 0%.

14 a = Sweden

15 Something like that:

Special rates and conditions (if applicablesee instructions): The beneficial owner is claiming the provisions of Article 12 of the treaty identified on line 9a above to claim a 0 % rate of withholding on (specify type of income): Royalty Income -Image. Explain the reasons the beneficial owner meets the terms of the treaty article: and also Royalty Income - Images/Other at 0%

You mean those new things.. FATCA? For me I filled FATCA status is "Account is not a financial account" because it's not. And that's all new for me, for others I filled just a same than previous W-8BEN. And it was accepted.

I think that:

1. You are not an individual, you need the EIN number
2. Order the EIN number from IRS, use the SS4 form
3. IRS get your EIN number
4. Fill your W-8BEN

Years ago I ordered my EIN number and at the time it was not possible to order via net. It had to be done by phone. Maybe it's easier these days, I don't know.

BTW.. I don't know others, but my EIN number include a hyphen "-". The Shutterstock and other stocks W-8BEN works fine but in the Adobe/Fotolia it must write without a hyphen.

All editing in wide data space always:
- 16 bit
- ProPhotoRGB (or AdobeRGB)

After that jpg export to low data space:
- 8 bit
- sRGB

I use wide gamut monitor, Eizo ColorEdge.

General Stock Discussion / Re: ImageBrief and Exclusivity
« on: August 02, 2016, 13:02 »
I sold one today through their non brief Marketplace search and received $500 as I get 100% commission because I signed up and paid for premium. Sales has been enough over the last year to make the $500pa premium cost worthwhile.

Lucky you :) Somebody wins sometimes in a lottery too. I haven't so lucky :)

General Stock Discussion / Re: ImageBrief and Exclusivity
« on: July 26, 2016, 07:45 »
How often you can sell image via ImageBrief (brief), what is average time?

Average Brief, if:
- participants 100 photographers per brief
- every photographer add 2 images per brief
- awarded briefs is 10%
- if you joint to 20 briefs in year with 2 images each
On average you sold one image in 100 year

Whats your average, think about that!
