Does it matter Getty are going down we all know this, ride the end of the revenue and move on.

202
Perhaps they have an outage caused by the massive amount of contributors accessing the site to find out what is going on.

Maybe they emailed every contributor with this Repeating word email

203
Somebody called Kate at Shutterstock is responsible for these emails she posted on the Announcements section, loads of people are worried about it as the views on it are 36k+

204
They must have sent thousands of these emails, maybe every contributor received one, perhaps they could tell us exactly how many of these emails they have sent out, I have found it quite an upsetting piece of communication.

I have just checked the Shutterstock Forum and there are massive amounts of replies and views as there are here.

Looks like somebody at SS have made a big mistake, personally I am really unhappy with the tone of the letter.

It would be good if they could actually tell us which images they consider to have these repeated words in.

It would also be a good idea if they came on the Forums to explain themselves.

Dreamstime.com / Re: DT Review time
« on: May 18, 2016, 10:19 »
I'm sure Dreamstime is coming to the end of the Road, it's dropped right out of the top tier.

This corresponds exactly with my sales over the last year, I used to get a payout every month, its now down to every three.

My port is less than a third of the other sites, due to there crazy acceptance policy, I expect it to go the way of Veer.

The interface is old fashion I really believe it has had its day.

Is anybody who is non exclusive making money on this site?

Received the payment advice on the 20 March, no payment of $89.83

No payment in my PayPal account

I have written them an email to ask about it

What more can you do!

I used to make $100 every month then for a few months it went to around $50, then it just complete fell off a cliff.

They have a hugh problem with content, designers and I am a designer so I know, really like photographs at multiply angles and lots of variations of the same image, we need them when we put our designs together.

I hate having perfectly decent images rejected because of their similar policy, I find it a complete waste of my time.

I suspect that they are protecting their exclusives by rotating less to the independents, this is not how to run a site, if your work is good it should sell.

They have completely missed this market and it is difficult for them to get it back, DT is heading one way.

209
How long before Dreamstime is in the Middle Tier?

My sales on Dreamtime have steadily receded over the years, even though I regularly upload.

Are they worth keep uploading to with their crazy rejections, I often get images rejected that sell really well on other sites.

Adobe Stock / Re: Fotolia Payouts - Paypal Overhead Cost?
« on: September 29, 2015, 15:52 »
Paypal is different for different companies. Sometimes the company covers the cost of the transfer fee, sometimes they don't. When a business makes a transfer to your PayPal account, sometimes they incur the 3.5% transaction fee, sometimes they use your money to cover the cost of the transactions.

Paypal are a bunch of crooks, unfortunately there are not many alternatives, really they should be more regulated as 2.9% is an extortionate amount to pay.

The rate should be more around the .5%, personally I am not happy with funding their space program

Veer / Re: i have Zero sales ...why?
« on: September 23, 2015, 19:30 »
Veer used to be a contender, but they have a major problem with their search algorithm, it changes the key words to some predefined rubbish.

I think they have been seriously under invested in the site and this shows in the software and the slowest site load.

I used to get regular sales but about 6 months back it has virtually stopped.

I have been thinking about shutting my account down but I would like to make one more payment.

212
Adobe should close his account

I think you will find that the Law in Europe only sees equality for all before the law, which will make your models thoughts subjective, you really will not have a case with this.

214
This is never going to happen, how are you going to enforce all the millions of people who publish their pictures on Facebook etc.

In Europe it could even be a breach of your human rights to not be allowed to express yourself.

A Copywrite on a building even now is crazy, if you take a picture the image you capture has part of the photographer in it, it has their artistic expression, good or bad in that picture so surly on this reasoning we should be able to charge the owners of the copyrighted building for being in our image?

This is there logic applied in reverse.

Veer / Re: Veer sales nowadays
« on: April 22, 2015, 19:02 »
They have some sort of computer program that changes the keywords for there keywords and there keywords are generally very odd -- this could be why they have been held back as a site as it must make there clients task of searching the data base difficult.

They rejected a whole load of my images with place names in, I could not figure this as these words where used on other sites to find my images.

Basically I think there search might be dated and have problem with new terminology.

Never

217
With PayPal they have a Rocket Program to fund, they money has to come from somewhere

218
Getty are a zombie company with the level of debt they have, unable to invest or innovate, this leads me to think that they will go bankrupt, then they will be out of the game, istock will be finished as all there customers will walk, the content can be bought else where.

Parts of Getty will survive, not sure which bits though.

The question is, which of the smaller stock companies are going to break through to the top level by capitalizing on Getty's misfortune.

219
If Getty go into bankruptcy the game is over for iStock all the contributors and buyers would leave, but on the upside the other Agencies would be the winners.

220
Could they go bankrupt and then not pay their contributors? Bigger companies have.

221
It does not matter that Ingimage pays such a low rate, how long are they going to be in business with these rates, the people who upload to them are going to be making some serious losses, and their business model will collapse.

222
This is just Rubbish, why did he even bother to publicise this

I got a couple of .18 downloads for there small size and I wrote to them to ask about it, thinking that there must have been some kind of technical error, they replied with a convoluted commission structure that I couldn't make out what was going on, I was very disappointed with them and the answer.

224
I received 2 emails on different days with the same image from over a year ago - I thought the were malware
