Well, so the british, the german and the dutch call us "non white" or "spaniard white"   ;D It's like a joke. I really like to be black, I love the Blues.

I think that the same thing is happening here and in the rest of western countries, not just in the USA and, in the USA, not just in one side. There is hate speech everywhere and polarized societies in all countries. Politicians and media are crap everywhere, not just in one side. Have to think that most of Trump voters read several newspapers and watch several tv channels too. At least in the same proportion that Biden voters.

In Europe It's really hard to read a newspaper. Some media like The Guardian just invent the news, I have read fake news about Spain. And in Spain all newspapers and tv channels are garbage. All of them, pure s.

So, we have the same problems. We are lucky because we have a bigger structure over the countries with strong rules in some issues, but without the EU Europe would become a jungle. But we have some kind of stability that is our biggest richness. We are going to see soon our strongness together with the british chaos.

Maybe in America people have to find a way to fight for a better life beyond the two parties. Poverty is a domination mechanism in both capitalist and communist countries.

@ Trabuco I know we do not agree on politics. No problem.

Now that you have two winning presidents, divide the country, so the taxes are managed independently. In addition to education in schools. Health. Hate and freedom of expression. Abortion, immigration, transsexuals, gays, feminists, lame and bald. And the entire pack.

Well, what I don't understand of the USA are mainly the basic things. And we agree in that. Can be wrong in our view but not in rights like good education, freedom of speech, health, abortion or gay marriage and adoption. I mean, if you have to pay more than a few bucks (or cents with prescription) for an asthma inhaler then you are not free. You can like or dislike this, but If you go to bankrupt when you are ill how can you talk about freedom? Or if you can't raise a child without bank loans. I mean, in Europe we are not all f commies. I don't like commies as you realize.

The USA reminds me another recent empire with people living worse each year and a insane military budget eating all the taxes from their money. Plus the f crazy people growing and growing... claiming weird things with machine guns. I really like the American people and their culture, but can't understand well the country, is like an illusion where big salaries mean nothing at this time.

Please no offense, you crazy americans. I'm pretty sure my view of the country is quite wrong and I'm not giving any lesson. Europe is screwed too.

Love, respect and happy new year to all of you.

Maybe we should not mix different things, Tenebroso. Spanish Civil War is a very complex conflict with no similarities in the American History and not easy "good ones" and "bad ones" In fact, the organizations which these women came from were a part of Russian repression in Madrid.

Of course these women were guilty of nothing, their assassination was another awful war crime.
But the USA is not Europe in the 30's and European Communism from this age is a really bad example.

79
It's funny to hear about "lefties" in the US.

D.am.n commies.

I mean:

Main goal of SS and IS: earn money with stock. Cut royalties is a logical move.
Main goal of AS: earn money with software. Cut royalties is not a logical move, because they want to become a monopoly in other area. The logical move is to get good creators of content to support their software area. So their customers don't have to go anywhere else.

How do I get these creators? Stealing them to s.h.it.ty companies. The best move is to get all of them if I can, which is easy, because they treat the creators like sh.it.

Adobe Stock

A microstock agency that presently provides over 57 million high-resolution, royalty-free images and videos available to license (via subscription or credit purchase methods). In 2015, Adobe acquired Fotolia, a stock content marketplace founded in 2005 by Thibaud Elziere, Oleg Tscheltzoff, and Patrick Chassany which operated in 23 countries.[64] It is run as a stand-alone website.

Adobe Experience Platform

In March 2019, Adobe released its Adobe Experience Platform, which consists family of content, development, and customer relationship management products, with what it calls the "next generation" of its Sensei artificial intelligence and machine learning framework.[65]

Reception

Reception
From 1995 to 2013, Fortune ranked Adobe as "an outstanding place to work". Adobe was rated the 5th best U.S. company to work for in 2003, 6th in 2004, 31st in 2007, 40th in 2008, 11th in 2009, 42nd in 2010, 65th in 2011, 41st in 2012, and 83rd in 2013.[66] In October 2008, Adobe Systems Canada Inc. was named one of "Canada's Top 100 Employers" by Mediacorp Canada Inc. and was featured in Maclean's newsmagazine.[67]

Adobe has a five-star privacy rating from the Electronic Frontier Foundation.[68]

The Company is already there. Stock is not a main part of it, is a part of its project to rule all the business.

82
There is one company that have a great chance to overcome the two big ones now. A smart movement would be to claim a better deal with this company, because I think they are really not interested in to get more pennies from contributors. They actually can rise the royalties if they want.

Really hard to understand for me.

In my pdf:

35 sales 22.5 USD including 3 connect sales?

487 files in connect? Using them for free? 3 in the pdf, one for free, one for 0.04, one for 10.82.

The cool thing is that most of my sales are in the USA. Can't reach this market in SS.

Hard for me to understand as well. My connect sales (did you download that or you can import into a database as a CSV even though it's market .txt) says I have uses in California and Australia, varying from the three for 15 to that one for .00012 commission? Most are in the .03 and .003 sets. 3 cent download, or is that 3 cent and a third of a cent uses or views? I still don't understand Connect.

Those are different from the downloads in the other data. I had two of these this month.
0.04$    1    iStock Essentials    ILLUSTRATION
That's supposed to be 20% of something?  :o

Things could be worse, you could still have your SS account open and get $11.60 for those 116 downloads and that is at 35% hahahaha.

I got 17 dollars from 116 downloads. The pits. But then I'm the idiot to still have an istock account active.

You know that's not true. I'm only level four and my rpd for November on SS was $.64 and I'm hardly a top producer of quality content. Sure the 10c downloads sting, but contrary to people who try to say that's all we get, the numbers are much better. AS is of course much better. Even my bottom end images are making me .90 rpd on Adobe.

Oh kind of back on topic, IS was 36 rpd cents for November.

Almost all my connect are from Washington and Bing. My rpd is still a bit higher on SS but... with these sales I can't make money. Not good enough to sale millions of pictures for 0.10 or 0.03.

Thank you. My husband of 53 years died Tuesday night, peacefully and painlessly with me at his side. It was a relief in many ways, because he had suffered through a long, difficult series of events. He is at peace now, and I am too.

This was not Covid or any normal disease. In 2011, he suffered through two rounds of viral encephalitis (an extremely rare inflammation of the brain). Although he survived that, it left him with brain damage and epilepsy. Managing the epilepsy has dominated our lives these last 9 years, but about 6 weeks ago the medications stopped working. He developed an end-stage condition called Status epilepticus, where the seizures just go on and on and on with stopping. His lasted 48 hours before they finally burned out.

If anyone is curious, Johns Hopkins University has a clear explanation on its website:

https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/status-epilepticus

Sorry to read that.

Stay strong Martha.

I'm still wondering why almost all my sales there are 0.1...

What level are you? This is where the 10c sales come from. Large subscription packs of 350 or 750. Anything in the pink (or salmon?) is where we get a 10c commission.

The reason for the white was, only place where anyone would get more than the old, entry level 25c for a sub. Everything else is less. And considering how easy it was to get to 36c a download, or 38c a download (at $10,000 lifetime sales), of course this represents a substantial cut. In my case I make around 65%% less now, for subs, than before the change.

10c subs are the minimum when the commission would have been less than 10 cents, based on what the customer pays.

Top line, level one, just for an easy to see example. Customer pays .57 an image, and at 15% we'd get, $0.0855 but that's below minimum, so SS pays us the minimum.

If you look down to 750 images with advance billing, the buyer pays .22 an image, at 15% we'd get $.033 per sub download. Instead SS raises that to 10 cents. Which is about 300% of what the buyer paid. That kind of pack, never reaches any of our payment percentages for any level.

35 days to reset  :-[

My level is ridiculous. I have started now to have constant sales every day. But I used to have bigger sales before all this crap...

Dropping the small ones.

No, the minimum is 0.25. Don't know if they have levels but sales are very poor to me.

I use to have problems to submit when I send a lot of pictures (rejections for "file transfer error") and rejections with the same program that SS uses with stupid reasons.

LOL, yeah, even worse in some ways. (until now) If they had kept the bridge, I would have stayed with BS, just for whatever fell on me and the easy adding of photos, because I could upload once and forget about them. BS used to pay 50c minimum per download before the company was sold.

"New York, September 23, 2009 Shutterstock, the worlds largest subscription-based stock photo agency, announced that it has acquired BigStockPhoto, a leading credit-based stock photo agency, headquartered in Davis, California. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed."

https://www.shutterstock.com/press/11153

Note: I didn't think of this until after I posted it. 25 is more than 10 ?

When the review problems started, I stopped uploading there. After the 0.10 stopped SS too.

I can sell for peanuts in IS if I want with 0 problems with my pictures. In fact, my rpd is higher there now, because almost all my pictures are selling under the 0.25 in SS.

Maybe AS or AL will work for me in the future, don't now. Not now.
