do reviewers get paid the same weither they accept or reject an image?

The reason I ask is, I just had 3 batches rejected because of:

Unacceptable foreign language release â?? http://shutr.bz/175Xnzl

but the page this rejection links to states that my release ( iStock Spanish) is acceptable.

I have to believe the reviewer saw the release and thought " oh boy get to reject all these images without having to review them!!!!"

Yeah it is such a PITA... my internet is so slow that it takes hours to upload, then wait a week or so for review to find them rejected for such a bogus reason.

Too bad there wasn't a way for us to review the reviewers.....

Oh well, another reason to work on my Symbiostock site.

Did you add a comment to the submission? I tend to be overcareful making it as easy as possible to reviewers to accept my images.

I have now learned that I have to point out this to reviewers...

Microstock is still a learning curve for me, and I am just starting to add released images.

Reviewers get paid so much per image reviewed no matter if accepted or rejected.  Some review up to 2,000  images a day!

Yeah, despite the "they should have known" (which basically is true) I found that reviewers are humans, don't know everything and make mistakes. So I prefer to provide too much info rather than too few. :)

I just looked at the link to the info of foreign language releases. Currently the only comments to the post look like spam (they may be taken down in the future). If reviewers are visiting the page, they aren't mentioning the spam. Maybe they could also be paid per spam report to give them an incentive to look things up.  :)

But I think it takes less time to reject than to approveespecially when the rejection is based on subjective judgements such as "Low commercial value."

The people who could accurately answer this question have signed non disclosure agreements.

Each site is different.

Several years ago I was a reviewer for a major site. Reviewers are paid per image reviewed, not per image rejected or accepted. I did it as a learning experience, because the pay is below minimum wage in the US. I would guess many of the reviewers are based in countries where $5/hr would be considered a decent wage.
