Good idea to have a separate post for these. I wrote one that used a combination of a plugin to backup the database and some of the files, and a separate service called mover.io to backup all your image files to Google Drive. Different approach to the one above. I'm on Bluehost and all this works fine on that site.

I got this info from someone who works for a web design company. So it should be good. The first backup is quite big, but after that it gets easier.

Thank you for a great tutorial, complete with illustrations.  It was clear and easy to follow. I managed to get my site backed up so now I feel comfortable making changes and moving forward.
