Hopefully Veer will make sure their partners remove our material too.

That's too bad.  I started with them during their "Dash to cash" program - it was nice to get paid just for uploads.  They had about the highest RPDL of any major stock site but hadn't had many sales the past three years or so.  I'm glad to know they will pay out final balances - I have been stuck at around $75 the past couple of months.  Wonder how many more we will lose during 2016?

I'm stuck at $64 for almost a year .. the sales were non existent.
Today it seems the Veer server is down with an error, probably too many users trying to get their
screenshots :))
As long as they pay the remainder of my earnings I won't loose sleep over the closing. :p

As I said earlier no loss to the world.

...but a $100 loss for me every month :(
Hope the former customers move over to shutterstock rather than to istock

Dashboard was there 2 minutes ago and now it is gone!  They would hate for anyone to screencapture what they are owed!

I did. I have a screenshot. They owe me $98.23. :\

You and me both.  I was so close to a payout.  Now I may not reach it.  Glad to learn they WILL be paying out all unpaid royalties.

I can't say I  am happy about this.  Less competition in the market is not good.  I know Veer hasn't been a good seller, but istock sales are in continous decline and haven't found their bottom.  I very much doubt the 50-70 bucks a month I made on veer will show up on istock or PP.  It's just a little bit less money I'll be making.   Death by a thousand cuts.

you would think that when a company closes doors the client reassesses their needs and budget. it is not a certainty that the client will just obey and move in flocks to istock. they might go with a cheaper option. so the question is, who is the cheapest at this moment in time? shutter adobe dreamstime deposit etc

I guess its those who have longer term agreements.....I'm not sure what the situation is if they say "no thanks I want a refund."  Mind you if my sales are typical you can get all their clients in a Taxi!

Wouldn't a flurry of credit sales be nice (if they pay on the 15th like they say they will).

Anybody remember back when Corbis was thought to be the main agency keeping Getty from a near monopoly in the stock business?

Actually, I'm glad they're gone. One of the worst performing sites (19th out of 22 agencies). Sales were nearly non-existent. I registered more than 5 years ago and I never made a payout. They also had issues with keywords being removed or changed randomly, if I recall correctly.

So as long as they pay outstanding royalties, I'm fine with it.

That's 3 agencies gone for me this last two weeks and Veer makes four :D

At least I didn't have to send a delete request and get no reply and no response ;D

Just noticed that my unpaid earnings have been transferred to pending payments.   I thought they were not closing till the end of March?  If we have any sales over the rest of March I wonder if they will even pay them out?  I've already had my one sale for the month of March so chances of it happening again are teeny anyway!  Would like to just see my portfolio removed.

How did you access that? I keep getting "Server Error in '/' Application.
Runtime Error" when I try to access the Veer site in any way shape or form

I just checked my dashboard which is up for me not sure if it's up for anyone else.  Yes Veer give me my whopping $.43  ;D

Maybe they moved the closing date up which is why everything's gone to pending?  Or they screwed up in the emails and are paying everyone on the 15th of this month?

If you get "Server Error in '/' Application." try logging in through a proxy or anonymize site ;)

I got over 1K from their dash for cash and had decent (for me) sales in 2011 and 2012. They have slipped a lot since then. RIP.

Got this email update today.  I think it's pretty much the same information we had previously, with perhaps the added "Royalties will continue to be paid, regardless of amount, through standard processes throughout the transition period"' being new information.  This would be consistent with the movement of royalties moving from "unpaid" to "pending" that many have noted here.

Dear Veer Contributor,

Wed like to provide an update on the VCG acquisition of Corbis (including Veer) and what it means for you as a Veer contributor.

First a quick recap on the key elements of the acquisition:
Corbis has announced the sale of the Corbis Images (excluding Splash), Corbis Motion, and Veer licensing businesses to Unity Glory International, an affiliate of the Visual China Group (VCG), a leading Chinese visual communications and new media business.
Following this transaction, VCG is expanding its longstanding partnership with Getty Images, and, after a transition period, Getty Images will become the exclusive distributor of Corbis content outside China.

Whats next for Veer?
As part of VCGs purchase of Corbis and expanded partnership with Getty Images, we will be transitioning Veer customers to iStock, and the Veer site will be retired on March 30th.
New content submissions to Veer are no longer being accepted.
Royalties will continue to be paid, regardless of amount, through standard processes throughout the transition period.
Following site retirement you will be released from contractual obligations with Veer.

If youre already a contributor to iStock there is no additional action to take, you will automatically benefit from this customer transition.
If you are not currently a contributor to iStock and would like to be, heres how to sign up:
Step 1: Join iStockphoto:  http://www.istockphoto.com/join
Step 2: Choose a Member Name:
http://www.istockphoto.com/create_membername.php
Step 3: Apply to be an iStockphoto contributor:
http://www.istockphoto.com/sell-stock-photos.php
Please enter the code VEER in the Contributor Invitation Code field of the application process and the iStock team will expedite your application.

The Veer team would like to thank you for the partnership over the years.

The iStock team welcomes all Veer contributors not already working with iStock to sign up and contribute. We are excited to expose your content to more customers.

Sincerely,

The VCG, Corbis/Veer and Getty Images/iStock Content Teams

Has anybody got their payout for February yet? I used to get it on the 16th, but today I'm still waiting for +150$ from Jan and Feb
